It was going to be real then out of sheer stupidity LucasArts cancelled the game when it was withing 90some% finished. Elite Squadron is basically what that game was going to be like due to the story and content being the same. Years after that game got cancelled LucasArts ended up developing their own Battlefront 3 which ended up getting cancelled due to Disney.
Pandemic went under in development.
Speaking of cancelled games, rest in rip Star Wars 1313
After all these years that Star Wars existed the adult fanbase was finally getting an adult targeted thing and it gets cancelled. It's sad that there are fans that are old enough to have grand kids and the only adult targeted thing that Star Wars has is the porn.
Now disney's here to make sure that Star Wars is always a kids thing

A lot of people dony care about it? A few people on sept =/= a general consensus almost everywhere else.
There is free DLC for consoles, yeah, but that doesn't take away the fact PC has still gotten a good end of the stick from it. As for the update (I guess it's faster), the update for arrow kill cams, better underwater, and various other things came from mods on Skyrim that they just copy pasted over to consoles.
Same with Hearthfire basically.

PC gamers care about it. But most people who game on consoles likely don't care too much about frame rate and/ or resolution. If they cared that much, they'd be on PC. I know there's many console players who do care, but it's certainly not as prevalent as people on PC. PC got the better en of the stick in the past, sure. But that was when Microsoft had a vendetta against free things. In 2015, though, there's rarely any cases where DLC is free on one platform and not another for a multiplat title. I can't really comment on the Skyrim thing, as the only PC exclusive I know of is the free Portal 2 DLC thing. You still never clarified faster updates. Like, faster release times, faster downloads? People saying you don't have to lead targets in battlefield are liars. Try hitting someone across te map with any weapon on battlefield and say you don't have to lea your shots or compensate for bullet drop.

It shares similarities, but that's due to it being a combined arms game. The Battlefront reboot plays a bit differently than the old Battlefront which was essentially Star Wars: Battlefield.
I never played anything prior to Battlefield 3. The gunplay is noticably different in Battlefront due to how you are shooting lasers (projectiles where you have to lead your shot almost all the time). Where would you say the games are most similar?
Because that's how lasers work.

That is certainly true. That is an advantage to console playing and I completely understand it.
Yeah. I do I tend to get a PC someday, when I have the money and space, but I don't see myself abandoning my xbox. All I really want PC for is some of te cool games I've missed and mods for fallout/ elder scrolls.

I should clarify. I meant if you want that PC to last a few years running games. I don't mean TotalBiscuit levels of insane ($5,000 PC!) but still a couple hundred more expensive. And with building your own, there's always the danger that you suck and the parts aren't put together right or are incompatible.
There is that danger, but common sense researching and asking around will easily fix that problem for you. Plus, once you actually get your new rig, you're only gonna be slowly upgrading a part at a time, not completely wiping. In the long run, it saves you more money than a console ever would.

To be fair. Playing video games to do the videos is his job. Like, he doesn't actually get to play the games he likes that much because he needs to spend a decent amount of time in other games. But also, if his PC can't run it, it's definitely a shitty port.

Well, yeah. When I see fallout coming to Xbox, I don't have to go and look at my specs just to make sure I an play it. I can just get the disc, plug it in and play it. Granted, games like ACUnity and Arkham Knight (though it was only the PC release that was shit) are becoming much more common in AAA games. I thought of another one. I can sell my games when I don't want/ need them anymore.
