ME2 is filler on the basis that nothing has really changed between ME1's ending and ME3's beginning. Especially without DLC. The political state of the galaxy basically doesn't change between the two games and the most significant character change is that one of your crewmates may die in the collector base. In terms of the series' plot, you're basically just hitting the pause button entirely.
The game starts with Humanity taking it's first steps toward becoming a major player on the galactic stage, and ends there. At the start, the threat of the reapers invading is looming, and it's still there at the end (haven't played arrival). The game introduces a threat from nowhere and then you more or less completely deal with it and that's it - the only real major change is that Cerberus is now the space illuminati for some reason. I suppose there's also a couple character bits but 3 does a good job of rendering them kind of inert anyway.
They should have used ME2 as a chance to try and research the reapers or maybe even attempt to unify the galaxy, with the suicide mission instead being the ending of ME3. This way, at ME3's start, you maybe have some political alliances already, or have managed to advance your cause making people like/ dislike you more. ME2 has some fine character writing but the plot is really meh.

Not a game cover, but I always liked how the Halo 2 LE gave yo ua different manual to the one in the standard edition. The regular edition was a UNSC-themed manual, being told as an after-action report from Cortana about the events of the first game and a briefing on the new technology and enemy types encountered, while the LE version was Covenant-themed and told as a letter from the Arbiter to the Prophets about his failure to stop the destruction of Installation 04 and a report on the enemy technology employed by the UNSC.
It was a really nice little bit that differentiated the two.

>Halo 3 backwards compatible >Made all the maps free >Can't even download the maps, so you can only play social slayer
I really expect nothing less from 343.
Yes you can you fucking dumbass. Then again that's no wonder why you people like Halo 3. 343i has literally nothing to do with XBL's UI being borked.
Press start over Halo 3 in the dashboard and click "manage game." You will find the DLC downloads in that menu.
Remember everybody it's always Microsoft's fault and never 343's.
Oh come off it for two seconds you fucking cunt.
Calm down, admirals
Fuck off. You all were wrong and you're not turning this shit on me.
They don't appear in ready to install if you don't own the dlc though. If you used the ODST disc then you needed to "buy" the DLC on the store, otherwise it wouldn't appear in manage game.
There is still the matter of meme-blaming 343i for something that legitamately has absolutely fucking nothing to do with the people on their end. You know Iv'e had it up to here with 343i's recent bullshit about as much as you faggots have, but you're literaly being retarded on purpouse at this point.

I moved out last week and now I've realised that I honestly have no idea what to do in regards to food. I'm honestly not quite sure what I've made for dinner for the past two weeks.
Learn some recipes that look tasty, and shop them in advance. Know what you'll want to eat for the next week, you don't necessarily even have to know which days.
Breakfast is a little easier. I just keep cereal, eggs, and some type of breakfast meat around and eat what I want depending on how I feel when I get up. Replenish supply as needed.
Keeping deli meats and cheeses, fresh veggies, and a loaf of bread is paramount. Not a bad idea to keep some snacks lying around, either.
When I first moved out I lived on frozen food and takeout, which was a huge mistake.
I forgot I made this post, sorry Desty and Nick, I did read what you guys said I just forgot to reply.
Honestly my main issue is that all the stuff I know of takes like an hour or more to cook and prepare and shit, and that's an hour I could spend doing basically anything else. Plus, I can pretty easily get distracted and forget stuff so I basically have to sit there for an hour to make sure I don't do anything. Also the last time I tried cooking anything without help it went terribly - tasted pretty bad and ended up with one of my pan lids melting because someone turned one of the hobs on (I hadn't been using it, I just put the thing on there because I thought it was off). So I guess I'm just looking for excuses not to when I can just put something in the microwave for five minutes and go back to something interesting.
That's how you get fat.
No change there then lol honestly I haven't really been feeling that hungry much anyway so maybe that's also factoring into it. All I really had for tea tonight was a slice of toast and I basically had to force myself to have that because I hadn't really thought about eating anything until it was like half 11pm

If you type in Mythic/ Heroic/Legendary map packs on the store they shoudl appear. I always used ODST so I didn't ever own the map packs, but they were in the store. Searching those doesn't work, but 'halo 3' does.
Fair enough. The store is a bit fucky at times

The Netflix series' have been pretty much hit-or-miss but after DD season 2, I have high hopes for this one.
Can't be worse than Defenders.
I haven't even bothered finishing it.
I'm kind of upset it was so bad. It makes me feel like I sort of wasted my time watching the separate series when the super team up mini series sucks so. Fucking. Hard.
I kind of enjoyed defenders, though honestly it feels like all the series' aside from Daredevil and JJ season 1 have been a bit hit or miss.

I think the strikes in this game aren't as good as the ones in the first game. Having to complete all a planet's missions to build up unlocking a strike felt a lot cooler than "oh here's some strikes go do them or something idk".

The mission where you go to kill Thumos really reminds me of Truth and Reconciliation, I mean look at the hanger bay
It's almost as if the same devs work on Halo before or something
Wow, Jono. That really made me think.
