Since when did the Enclave spawn this early in the game? I don't know of any random encounters with them that can happen before a certain quest is done.

Also I just found out a quest on New Vegas today I never knew about. One of the strip NPCs who mills around gives it to you. I have over 1,000 hours in NV and I didn't know about this quest. The fuck?
What quest?

Small rancher who is buttmad about heck gunderson

He sits outside the monorail station. Only found out about it because of a playthrough I'm watching. Presumed he was a generic npc.

You would think Halo 5 is pure crap if you go to Waypoint. Ever since the game released, people complain too much. Feels just like Bungie.net A neverending wave of entitled children bitching at developers.

I love people who think adding/ changing core features is a simple thing that only takes a couple hours to do.

It still descopes when shot, and if you change the controls to a classic mode then it feels like older halo.

Of course, I use fishstick controls to stay mire in line with the other games I play.

In terms of the mechanics and how it functions, it's not. If you really want to argue the visuals, then fine. But that's just semantics.

It still performs, from a mechanical point of view, exactly the same as before. Minus the different button to use it.

We're at 2/3 here, I'm not convinced.

Change to controls to classic then. Then you only have 1/3. And the 1/3 that doesn't change anything.

Honestly, if consoles had custom button mapping (which is a rant for another time), this would be a non-issue anyway. I already set my MCC controls to battlefield style because LS to crouch and RS to scope is wrong.

I've been thinking maybe it has something to do with my level. Ever since I hit level 8, stronger enemies have been spawning, like Yao Guais and Robobrains.

At this point, I'm beginning to roll trains over Super Mutants, as well, so I think I might head to Big Town after I clear up all these new sidequests (assuming they're not terribly long).

Wait until you get SM Overlords, albino radscorpions and ghoul reavers. They fuck your shit up even at level 30.

Thank you based broken steel

Not gonna bother this month, I think. Already played Dungeon Siege and not a fan of racing games. Still gotta download TWD before the day ends.

Just 'purchase' it so it's on your account so you can download later.
You don't have to download it straight away?

No.

You can cancel the download and it's still on your account.

Dear God, they plan to drag this into a third trilogy?

They changed it from reclaimer trilogy to reclaimer saga so they wouldn't have the story constrained into 3 games. Plus they copyrighted Halo 7, Halo 8 and Halo 9 some time ago.
Does anyone have an appropriate milking picture to use right now?

Eh. I'd rather they pace the story properly instead of cramming it and overlooking a lot of stuff.

But at the same time, yeah. I'd honestly be perfectly happy if they just released the majority of story content in the expanded universe and do minimal/ drop the campaigns. Then they can release more books and do more with the story in the books.

And, as usual,I couldn't care less what they do with multiplayer. As long as the game has a campaign/some story content, I'll buy. Not if it's multiplayer only.

"These Guardians can police an entire solar system"

Can't even kill a few Spartans

I fail to see how governing an entire solar system is even that big of a threat. Humanity at this point IIRC is spread across the galaxy. Ooh, you can destroy 25~ solar systems if we say no.

The Covenant had the Orion Arm. Humans had not even a percentage of that.

The galaxy is still mostly unexplored - so i'm sad she doesn't list any species we haven't seen yet in the last mission.

Also lol the yonhet got mentioned before the jiralhanae.

Meanwhile the Drones are still being ignored

And all the prophies fell into some dark galactic asshole.

Pretty much the entire surviving species* went extinct when the flood took over High Charity. There were only a couple thousand and they called the big mushroom their home. What few remain have took shelter with the Jiralhanae. So yeah, makes sense we don't really see 'em.

*not includong the Stoics, who stayed o Janjur Qom when the reformists left the planet. We have no idea what they've been doing for the past 3,000 years.

Another prime opportunity for awesome. Likely never to be taken up on no doubt.

We had the stoics in a book last year. 343 has said before they have plans for the San 'Shyuum and even the Drinol/ Sharquoi (which have been mentioned once in a very obscure source)

We'll see them again. 343's just playing the long game with events. Remember they've got several years of content planned; on a three year dev cycle, that ends the third trilogy in 2027, presumably with the flood invasion.

With that much time to cover events, why do it all at once?
But do they have plans for the Yonhet?

Going off the last mission, more than they do for the Jiralhanae.

Anyways, here are my thoughts. Just beat the game like 10 minutes ago so wait a bit for the full, coherent review.

This game fucking sucked.

I'm not trying to hate on the game, but goddamn, it is bad. Not over(under?)selling it, it's probably the worst Halo to date so far.

Fan-fiction story, poor voice acting, TERRIBLE dialogue, uninteresting and generic characters, and boring level design all just leave a taste of disgust and want for something a little more substantial.

Nothing even happens over the course of this game. It's like Spartan Ops -- go here, shoot this, listen to dialogue. Repeat. Blue team's missions were a bit better, but Osiris missions were GOD AWFUL.

Probably didn't help that, from what I've heard, the story was written by the guy who did Spartan Ops for 4. <.<

I mean, I wanted Spartan Ops Season 2...but not like this.

EDIT:  Fun Fact:  Spartan Thorne was supposed to be on Osiris, but 343 threw him into the trash bin for  Buck.

Why would the writer of SPARTAN OPS, NOT HALO 4, be the writer?

Good grief.

Because google is a hard thing to use, evidently

I like things that look at how people survive and change after an apocalypse as opposed to take drugs kill a zombie.
i feel like there's a lot more better examples of that than twd... you even listed a couple, like 28 days

w/e, you can like it, i just don't get it

I can kind of understand if you only watch the first couple episodes of the serirs. They weren't anything to write home about. It's been the more recent series' that make thw show stand out.

Honestly, Walking dead is the only zombie thing I like. Everything else that tries zombies is just meh

Unless I Am Legend counts as zombies. That was a great film.
i would count i am legend

also, the walking dead is the most generic and boring shit ever--i don't know how everything else is meh to you, but you like that

I admit I forgot WWZ book.

I like things that look at how people survive and change after an apocalypse as opposed to take drugs kill a zombie.

The latter seasons of the Walking Dead (and future ones) and the book world war z focus much more heavily on how groups of survivors react to the plague - and each other. Generic zombies as The Enemy (L4D, Deadrising, 28 Days and so forth) are very much boring and meh-tier.

Granted, I enjoyed 28 days as a film but I wouldn't watch it again.

Is there going to be a separate Fallout thread once the game is released?

I'm lovin' the Fallout banter here, but I don't want to spoil any of the game if I'm getting it later.

I'm presuming we'll have a spoiler thread

But there won't be anything released before launch ala Halo 5, the bethesda uk community manager said so when I asked her about ut
