of mice and men was actually pretty good but holy fuck shakespeare is a fucking drag
Yeah I had to read Hamlet, and I didn't really understand what the hell happened in that story until we did the play... even then I was more focused on making sure the lighting was perfect, so I think I missed something still. Of Mice and Men was probably my favorite force read since I can remember most of that book.
Thankfully, we didn't have to do it as a play. Just read it.
That said, reading old english is the worst thing in the world.
Oh yeah no it was just a coincidence. I was in technical theater (our school had a college level theater program).
Ah, we have to do it as part of GCSE English.
What is GCSE?
Exams you do in Year 11 (Age 16). you do english, maths, science and then four other subjects of your choosing. In my school ,we were forced to do french and either history or geography, so I only got to choose IT and graphics design.

And while we're on the topic what the hell did make 343 go in such a strange fucking direction with the story?
They claimed the overall narative was planned out before hand, but I find it so hard to belive that this was the direction they had always been planing to go in since Halo 4, especially since Halo 4 itself was so excellently written.
What happened to continuing John's development? Why have plot devices and threads form Halo 4 and the reclaimer trilogy been been seemingly erased from existence so suddenly? What purpose did focusing on Locke even serve?
It's pretty obvious that derderct was supposed to be the main antagonist but got switched halfway through development I'm guessing because of all the crying about halo 4's story

we also had to do that
though I don't recall anything about lighting in my exam
we didn't have it in the exam, the teacher just decided to make us analyse that scene for a lesson.
it was a double-lesson with no break in the middle
two hours of watching lenny go chimp on some bimbo repeatedly was enough to make me hate the film/book/wtfe for the rest of my life
I remember having to watch leonardo's smug face repeat the same three lines of ye olde englishe so many times in one lesson I fucking hate romeo and juliet

You know what? This wouldn't even be that big of an issue if they actually balanced all the cheesy attempts at comedy with literally anything else of substance.
