I'm so glad I never had any massive hype for MCC outside the multiple campaigns thing. I feel really bad for people who took days off to play halo 2 with friends and got a steaming turd (Not counting the fact halo 2 was already a steaming turd)

Uh, I don't really go for any of that kind of thing

In a hypothtetical, someone that shares my interests (Games, science, scifi/ fantasy and such) would be cool. Anything like drugs or smoking or heavy drinking would be an instant no, though.

Any bets on how long it will be before everyone figures out how to break Valhalla in this game?

I look forward to the tournaments.

He oversaw some of it, but he wasn't directly involved, no. It's called "B Team" for a reason, and while they did improve some mechanics a LOT (as a sequel should), the huge complaint is lack of intricate maps, bosses, and atmosphere.

I remember Yahtzee saying that his main thing was that where DS1 bosses look like something from the Lovecraft mythos, DS2 bosses were just "dudes in armour". Is this accurate?
yes

You can pretty much tell it's Miyazaki if it has a ton if lovecraftian elements.
What? No, that was from Bloodborne you morons. Dark Souls 1 had Berserk written all over it. You can tell it's Miyazaki's Dark Souls if it's literally Berserk Souls.

I've only played DS up to the point verb's at

do I get a free pass here?

Aside from the smoke effects on the map, that valhalla remake is pretty nice. I'd prefer blood gulch though. Or anything else, really, that has enough space to actually drive a vehicle. It seems like 343 have a really adverse fear of big open spaces as I can't think of a single map by them where you could drive a 'hog at full speed without crashing into something.

Just a shame that it took so long to get here that half the people who wanted it have stopped caring because other, better games exist that weren't glorified early access.

Because the typical star shape is actually the light emitted by stars scattering in our atmosphere.

Not reallyl. DS2 has more knight / "dudes in armor" type of enemies, but that's from everything there is to the game. It would be like saying that DS1 is just "rehashed demons" because you have Asylum, Firesage, Stray and such. DS2 has its Dragonriders, Mirror Knight and Pursuers but there's also the Chariot, Giants, Gargoyles, Rats, Manscorpions, mutated spiders, human-faced frogs, Medusa-like snake humans, Dragons and Sabertooths. I do think there's a slightly disproportionally large amount of knights in the game, but DS2 still has a very varied and wide array of bosses that goeswell beyond that. And either way, some of the "dude in armor" bosses are actually really well done.

huh

Well ZP has a tendancy to exaggerate and I'm fine with that

I buy lego every now and then.
I forgot to mention my lego f40

I haven't bought proper lego in a while

I've been spending more on my Halo mega bloks recently (Recently being the last few years)

The most recent I got was a Halo 4 Mantis. It's pretty awesome.

Not really. There are several big armored bosses in DkS 2 but there are also several others that are fucked-up abominations (Najka, Freja, Rotten, all the demons, etc.). There are more Lovecraft-esque bosses in the first game, but DkS 2 is more about fighting demons and lords, so they fit the theme, and all the bosses feel adequately unique.

Ok.

ZP is prone to exaggeration, so I was guessing it would be so here.

I'm still hoping DICE goes for WWII for Battlefield 5. Frostbite 3/4 destruction physics on Stalingrad, Normandy, Berlin and so forth would be fucking brilliant.
I can't wait to launch a sherman through the air to cripple a banzai plane e.e

I look forward to shotgun camping in the Stalingrad sewers because they're the only place where the walls can't be blown up

IIRC, the developers said that they're considering bringing the game to XB1 and PS4 at some point. But the last one didn't do too well on consoles so it made more sense for them to spend as much effort making the PC version as good as possible and then consider porting it to consoles later on.

I hope it does come to XB1, looks pretty good. And apparently you don't need to have played the original as it retcons the original's ending anyway (TotalBiscuit's video).

Edit: I just checked. The CEX in my town (I walk past it every day) has a couple of copies going for only £3 for the 360 - is it worth it? XCOM 2 looks pretty cool and it's piqued my interest in the 'original' one.Original as in not ancient.
Get this version fam, it's the base game and the top notch expansion which makes the game a whole lot better. https://uk.webuy.com/product.php?sku=5026555262644#.Vrc9zECbupo

They don't have that in stock anywhere near me

I might look on amazon, though, and see how much it is.

I want Titan loadouts to change. Once you unlocked Quad Rocket, Electric Smoke and Cluster Bomb, there was no point in using anything else.

Stuff like Plasma Railgun, Triple Threat and the XO-16 Chaingun were basically useless. Titan loadouts need an overhaul, but the pilot weapons were pretty well balanced.

Yeah. As far as book adaptations go, Harry Potter is up there with The Martian in terms of quality. It's far from World War Z levels of shittiness.

The final book/two films were tedious. The rest were pretty cool though.

I think it started to get a bit tedious around book 5 but then it picked back up towards the last one

Nah. I nejoyed 5 and 6, but 7 was so boring.

But 5 was soooo tedious.

Tbqh I kinda missed the whole school life aspect of the series in the later books but I can see why they had more important things to tackle.

Maybe that's why I enjoy the earlier books more

Honestly, I thought the series got progrssively worse than the predecessor after number 3. Each one was slightly more boring than the last. But 7 is the only one I'd describe as awful, the others are still enjoyable enough.
