Gaming / Re: New Battlefield World Premiere« on: May 06, 2016, 05:19:40 PM »4 did it way too much (I mean, you could probably have three sniper rifles and you'd have all the major differences you can get), but the variety in sights is particularly nice to suit weapon to play style and whatnot.no oh I really hate sniping in battlefield (I'm not good or patient enough to fuck around with drop and travel times) so to me it's pretty much M40, M98B and the semi auto one. I only ever use recon with carbines so I can have the radio beacon and stuff. I prefer to be more front lines/ support than 3005

Gaming / Re: New Battlefield World Premiere« on: May 06, 2016, 05:06:00 PM »I'm honestly not sure why insane amounts of customization that always boils down to everything other than 5 weapons and two or three attachments for each that are actually viable seems to be in heavy demand right now. Battlefield 2 remains the best game in the series to date and all it had was an alternate unlockable primary weapon for each class. While I think 4 goes a bit overboard in that department, it generally provides something to strive for. I've spent a lot of time in BF4 going for weapon mastery of every weapon (Except snipers. Fuck those) because it always provides a new challenge/ goal to look for. 4 did it way too much (I mean, you could probably have three sniper rifles and you'd have all the major differences you can get), but the variety in sights is particularly nice to suit weapon to play style and whatnot. 3007
Gaming / Re: New Battlefield World Premiere« on: May 06, 2016, 04:56:03 PM »I don't think Battlefield 3 was a reskin of Bad Company or 2. When they actually have more than a year to develop, they actually, ya know, do different things.Until this one yes.Every shooter is a paint job with that logicAs far as CoD and BF go, yes. 3 and BC2 were a lot different, yeah. There was only three types of sight for every gun; Reflex, ACOG 4x and 8x sniper. No DMRs, only bolt action rifles, and no ridiculous customisation options like in 4. Each class only had a handful of weapons to unlock and I'm pretty sure unlocking a weapon attachment for the assault class unlocked it for every weapon in that class rather than just the one gun. Also, snipers got airstrikes/ mortar/ artillery (Whatever it was i can't remember), there were no scout helis or attack/ scout jets, no lock-on launchers and snipers got ghillie suits (I miss playing as a wookie). The destruction was also a lot more prominent than either of the subsequent games and LMG guys got medical bags and AR guys got ammo bags. Also the UAV on the map that only kind of returned in BF4 Final Stand in a shittier form. I miss everyone on the team dogpiling those things to try and get it. I haven't played in a long time, that's just what I remember. But it was a lot of stuff. 3008
Gaming / Re: New Battlefield World Premiere« on: May 06, 2016, 04:45:51 PM »Also the bigger presence of melee, the different classes of tanks, absence of attack boats/ helicopters/ rpgs/ assault rifles/ LAVs and stuff like horses, artillery, battleships, airships, larger presence of bolt-action rifles and chemical warfare make it hard to just do a reskinThey've been working on it for 3 years. It's not a year after release, so no it's not a reskin. that too But I more meant that the sheer amount of changes fundamentally change how the game plays I'm really excited to see gameplay of this now. Hopefully the open beta will leave good impressions, too. Here's hoping Rush becomes the central mode of the game and they design the maps around it. 3009
Gaming / Re: New Battlefield World Premiere« on: May 06, 2016, 04:37:00 PM »So they should be changing up mortar fire with this Hopefully they may even be bringing back Commander artillery strikes from BF2 It was really cool because you could actually disable the enemy commander's artillery if you went and blew it up, so there was a lot more going on than what BF4 gave us If commander mode returns and gives artillery strikes, that would be sweet 3010

Red Dwarf (The BBC one)

I make note of people who abuse choppers (Use them as personal transport) on battlefield to purposefully not give them health/ammo.
If it's a sniper I stand in front of their scope too. 3028
