XSean is a shining example of a person who should not own guns, or be anywhere near them.

Uhhh, what does that have to do with this thread?
Because he's the school shooter type and he owns several firearms

So by your logic, someone who owns several firearms is the school shooter type?

Have you ever stopped to think that he's an ex vet and target practice is stress relief for him? He's not a bad guy, so quit treating him like one.
HAHAHAHA

No you fucking retard, by my logic someone that behaves this strangely and gets so emotional over the Internet shouldn't be around any guns.

Also he's in the fucking Canadian reserves or some shit😂😂😂 he never has and never will see any action. There's no stress to relieve apart from normal stress everybody else experiences.

Regardless, he's still a human being and he does have feelings.
ok hahaha I didn't say he's an animal that should be shot in the street😂😂😂🤔

I'm just saying. Not everyone is able to "man up" like you think they can. Depression is some serious shit.

Idk why he wanted to fake himself into being in a screenshot, probably because he was depressed. He probably would have gotten away with it if he didn't bold his font. Unless this whole thread was some kind of bait thread to start with....

I dunno.
there was 16 names and 15 people

Because mentally unstable orphans who were conscripted because of their burning desire to fight back against the aliens that killed their parents and then given military training and require drugs to not go ballistic and murder everything they see are totally role models for kids

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Halo 3 and 4 armor on the MCC becomes mix and matchable. That would be nice to have.

That would also show idiots like BasedLove and Noelle that it is possible. I'm glad they're no longer here to give me shit for that.

Because I want to has flaming recons in my Halo. Yes I'm that fucking autistic guys. Get over it.
They already said they didn't do it because it would require having to run all the engines at once to allow for you to see what your character looks like.

Well then alternative sets would be the next option. Can't they just create a set with Recon and EOB? I can't imagine that being super hard.
Because creating variants for every possible combo of armour in the game is pretty unreasonable.

It doesn't have to be every, and flaming Recon and flaming Hayabusa are fan favorites
Okay. But what about the people who want flaming EOD, flaming CQB or flaming Rogue? Why are they being fucked over?

For real though other than Verb I can't think of anyone else on this forum who is explicitly anti-modding.

Still sucks that people don't give a shit here though. There's some cool shit with modding.
idk man

as soon as I have the cash spare I'm buying Fallout 4 and Skyrim SSE so I can start creating my own weapon mods

You've probably already answered this but what's your opinion on mods that add in/ enable content that was intended for the base game but cut due to issues like time constraints?
Depends on the case, but with KOTOR 2 specifically (which seems to be the most commonly cited case), I wouldn't care if you decided to go ahead and restore the cut content.

I personally wouldn't. If it's so important for me to experience it in some way, I would opt instead to watch clips of the restored content on YouTube.

Chris Avellone, the game's lead designer, doesn't point the finger at LucasArts for having his team at Obsidian rush the game out. He blames the team for wasting too much time fiddling around with relatively insignificant shit.

Quote
But however valiant the team's efforts, Knights of the Old Republic 2 would not be properly finished - "broken", the tea-snip-

Therefore, the way I see it, the game deserves to be unfinished. I'm not into giving developers a pass for failing to be punctual and making good use of their development time, and since he's the LEAD designer, I'm taking his word over anyone else's.

Had LucasArts been entirely to blame for the game's unfinished state, I might have been more sympathetic.
That's fair, and I didn't actually know that about KOTOR2 - that's a pretty interesting read.

Also, patching stuff back then wasn't really possible due to bandwidth restrictions/ file size limitations and so forth. It's a lot more common now with more and more games going for a year + of title update support, so you tend to see stuff that was probably cut from the base game included down the line in official postlaunch support.

games are art and belong to their artist, and it's not anyone's place to change anything about it, with a few exceptions

Honestly what could BO4 be at this point other than another futuristic COD with micro transactions? It's very hard for me to imagine them going back to something like BO1. Maybe a modern warfare type game?
given the way everyone seems to be overhyping the fact that battlefield went to a history setting of WW1 and COD went back to WW2 (even though both games turned out pretty meh, proving that it isn't the setting that makes the game bad or good by default), it'll probably be vietnam or something else in the cold war.

or maybe I'm just salty that we'll probably never see battlefield 2143 or a followup on Infinite Warfare's campaign

pretty sure the vast majority of people here either actively support modding or don't really care one way or another what people do with their games

I mean I only add lore-friendly mods to stuff like Fallout but I don't really care what other people do, even if I don't really get why you would do it

they would have given us multiple Forge World maps
you know there's such a thing as resources and time constraints, right?
3 years is plenty of time to make a game like Halo filled with tons of shit
The only other game on X360 at the time Reach was developed doing anything near the scale of Forge World was Bad Company 2 - y'know, that game developed on Frostbite, one of the most impressive engines out there, and one completely and wholly developed purely to create battlefield games? Even aside from that, you seem to be forgetting that in terms of raw featureset, Reach was (and remains to this day) the most feature-complete game at launch.

If you seriously think the effort that goes into map creation on that scale (hell, on any scale) is that trivial, you pretty obviously know jack shit about anything in development.

Because the handful of designers that created three mediocre maps in the level editing tool obviously mean that none of the couple hundred artists, writers, designers, audio technicians, programmers, and so forth that worked on everything else cared about what they were doing, right?
Nah, they really didn't. If the artists and designers really cared about the game, they would have given us multiple Forge World maps instead of just 1 where everything looks exactly the same with that boring and lazy green, blue, and gray color scheme. Forge World's layout was also awkward, especially on the island with Paradiso. There should have been more natural flat areas except for the only one on top of the coliseum.
Because when they struggled to put that one map in the game, it's totally reasonable to expect multiple of them, right?

I find it hard to believe that you sincerely think that because the main multiplayer's execution was kind of mediocre, that nobody working on the game was invested in making their swansong to the series that took the studio from a quirky startup with a dozen employees to one of the biggest names in the industry as good as they could possibly make it.

Kind of mediocre is an understatement when it comes to how fucking garbage the Reach multiplayer is. Reach hands down has one of the WORST multiplayers in Halo along with Halo 4. They made it slower, introduced things to the sandbox that broke the game(armor abilities, sword block etc), removed a lot of weapons, introduced bloom which wasn't needed/wanted, made the vehicles made out of paper, and created the DMR which is the most bullshit and broken weapon to ever be put into Halo.

Reach didn't feel like a swansong at all since Bungie was already working on Destiny at the time. They had to make Reach because they were under contract by Microsoft and had to make it under authority.

Hell, I would probably consider Halo 5 to be one of, if not the, worst games I've ever bought, and incompetent in more or less every single department, but I would still be remiss to say that nobody working on the game cared about what they were doing.
If you think Halo 5 is one of the worst games you've played then you must not play much games at all. The gameplay and multiplayer in Halo 5 is light years ahead of Reach's and Halo 4's. It's not a game I would prefer over Halo 2 or Halo 3 but I'd take it over Reach and 4 any day.
Not an argument.
Quote
Seriously, you're letting your dislike of the multiplayer (which is totally justified, mind) cloud the fact that the game was still clearly a labour of love put in from nearly every other department except maybe the writing team. Hell, I'd say that for just about any game outside of sub-contracted shovelware movie tie ins or studios that are working their employees to the bone with crunch hours to release for Q4, it's disingenuous to suggest that the team flat out doesn't give a shit about what they're doing.

Reach as a whole is a colossal dumpster fire from the campaign to multiplayer. We were promised bigger battles yet all those battles are off in the distance, being a part of the skybox that we can't partake in. We were promised a satisfying campaign from beginning to end with likable characters but we got a complete borefest with some of the worst voice acting that makes games like Rambo seem award-winning candidates. We were promised hardcore competitive multiplayer but we ended up getting one of the worst multiplayers in the series that drove hundreds of thousands of players away to other games or back to the previous game.

Reach was the beginning and downfall of the series and you can defend it all you want but the game is literal trash.
I mean, from what I've read even just putting the amount of shit that was in the opening cutscene for Tip of the Spear was intensive on resources and that was entirely pre-scripted (but still rendered in-engine, mind). The writing was pretty bad but I'd hardly say the voice acting was bad - I mean, it's not like the actors themselves had much material to work with.

Again, you seem to be completely and purposefully missing the point (or as said above, you just have a double digit IQ and can't separate quality of the final product from effort put into it) and using the fact that you dislike the game as an excuse to say that the people who worked on it for three years didn't spend three years putting their heart into it. I don't give a shit what you think of the final product - it's aged like shit and I'm only biased towards it because I played a fuckton of forge and custom games - but I do give a shit when you start dismissing the work that gets put in because you're acting like a crybaby who didn't get his way because he has completely unrealistic expectations given the technology in play at the time and is disappointed at poor writing from a company that was hardly writing shakespearean epics in the first place. Is there hypocrisy there based on how I acted after H5 released? Sure, but I'm also the first one to say that the majority of things I said more than six months ago were me being a retard.

Hell, I'll put myself on record saying the guys trying to remake maps like ascension and also put them all within the unified forge interface when it would have been much easier to create as five or six separate map entries done in the in-house level editing software probably did care a lot about what they were doing.

idk rewatching the forge world vidoc it really seems like the y (well, at least the guys on that side of things) really did care about making the best game they could, even if the end result is debatable.
Yeah, a lot of passion went into The Cage, Asylum, and Paradiso
