I'm wonder how fast the tanks will be. In real life you can run faster than them which means gameplay wise they will be too slow to have any enjoyment out of.
Well they weren't MBTs back then, they were for driving across no man's land without being turned into a bloody mess Combined with needing a full crew to operate effectively and relying on side-mounted cannons/ machine guns, they'll be closer to LAVs in the current game but a lot slower. They won't be filling the same role as tanks in other Battlefields.

With forge coming to W10, it's as though 343 want me to sell the game
Regardless, that £20 got me ayylmao and wolfenstein so it was a good trade. I can get two good games and the one part of Halo 5 that isn't shit once I've got my PC.

If you get a mod that slows the timescale, it will also adjust survival accordingly. I have that, darker nights, a rebalance mod (Makes humans (Including player) die in one or two hits but makes PA super strong among other stuff), a delevel mod that lets any enemy spawn at any level and some other things. It makes survival a lot better. Enemies aren't bullet sponges any more. Still challenging enough to make you have to think and plan, but not nearly as frustrating as survival was. I dread fighting deathclaws though, I installed one that buffs all their stats considerably to make them more like their 3/NV counterparts.
Plus my tacticool assault rifle with the see-through scopes and tactical attachments is pretty awesome.
Having night be a lot longer combined with not being able to see anything really makes you want to stay at camp more. I built a small little survival shack in a bus (It looks really cool) and I now actually end up going out on scavenging runs in the day and either trying to get back home (I'm at starlight drivein) or find somewhere to put down a tent and sleep through the night. It's amazing, I love it.
My only real complaint is that makung any enemy spawn at any time is cool for a challenge, but I'm super levelled compared to what I ahould be in regards to equipment. I had an assault rifle and some combat armour by level 5.

HOTD takes place in 2555 (2 years post-Halo 3), and the Monitor of the Ark (000 Tragic Solitude) had mostly repaired it, though had pretty much depleted the core at the centre's resources in doing so. Even with the repairs, the climate control was still unstable and wildlife containment biomes had been broken, resulting in many alien species breaking free of their enclosures and mixing. Combined with the rugged terrain that turned to frozen wasteland, I wouldn't say the Ark is at 100% yet. But it's consistent, considering it took just two months to build a 10,000km diameter Halo. The image also seems consistent, with the Ark's core being mostly depleted/ hollow/ mined out compared to it's Halo 3 incarnation.
Additionally, red Scarab and Locust lasers look indicative of those being more weapons given to Jiralhanae forces before the Chamging of the Guard, consistent with red plasma used by them. Considering Locusts are Tier 2 excavators, Scarabs are Tier 4, Harvesters are Tier 6 and there are purportedly 9 tiers of Excavator, I'd bet these or closer to that T9 range.
Building in middle looks like the Citadel from Halo 3 (The Covenant)
Big thing on the left, if I were to hazard a guess, is some kind of Jiralhanae design. Maybe some artillery of some sort. It doesn't resemble any other human/ Covenant design we've seen sans the Chopper and Prowler, and it seems to meet the necessary unnecessary blade and spike quota.

Civil War (The best Marvel movie, and up there with TDK for best hero film in general) That's a bold comparison. I still need to see it, but I haven't seen First Avenger or Winter Soldier yet either.
but that's just because i dislike captain america on a conceptual level
Well it's basically an Avengers film more than a Cap film. Anyway, you might not care as much because you're more about thematic analysis and stuff (At least I remember you giving similar reasons why you liked TDK). As is to be expected, it's light on stuff you can analyse in an english lesson. For reference, Winter Soldier (by the same directors) was more a spy film with CA as a protagonist, and was considered generally the best film before this one.

Also, you're not taking into account the fact that not every superhero movie made in the past decade has been an MCU film.
2014 had four between Winter Soldier, X-Men: DoFP, Amazing Spider-Man 2, and Guardians of the Galaxy. 2015 had three between Avengers 2, Ant-Man, and Fantastic Flop.
2016, on the other hand, is going to have SIX, between Civil War, BvS, Shitpool, X-Men, Suicide Squad, and Dr. Strange.
That's pretty fucking crazy.
And fucking brilliant for people who like the films. This year has been pretty solid so far. Even if you thought BvS wasn't great (I liked it), we've had Deadpool, Civil War (The best Marvel movie, and up there with TDK for best hero film in general) and XMen. All have been pretty good, if not downright amazing. I can't think of another year for this stuff that was this good. Then again I take any opportunity to go the cinema. I really enjoy it.

My dog used to jump and sleep on my bed but now she's too old and can't make it anymore
It's really sad. Honestly, I don't think she's gonna make it through the year and it really depresses me because of that. I mean, I've had her since I was 6 so it's gonna be real shit if she does go soon.

should I get the dlc
It's pretty decent provided you have settlement perks/ resources for Automatron and Workshop. Otherwise I'd just get FH separately because that is worth getting regardless.

the ark was introduced and destroyed in the same game, can't really have them be on a fully functional ark since they were still mia at the end of 3
It isn't actually destroyed It's just severely damaged, but being repaired Anyway, the picture looks like mega bloks. Like, the spartans and scarab and shit look more like toys than character models.

Well I've played about an hour and a half of isolation and I'm loving it. The use of lighting, particle effects and the texture quality is simply amazing, and the sound design is awesome. Easily one of, if not the best looking game I've ever seen. In particular, the flame jet after first arriving at Sevastopol and the Torren's engines, when it flies past the Terminal, really blew me away. This game nails the Alien aesthetic perfectly, and considerimg Alien and Aliens are arguably the progenitors of my favourite style of scifi (Stuff like older Halo, Avatar, Titanfall), I really appreciate that. Everything feels right; the world feels lived in, and everything looks like it serves a purpose. It's obvious that a massive amount of care and effort went into this game by Creative Assembly; to both be a believable world and be a testament to a franchise the dev team clearly loved a lot. No Colonial Marines here.
can't say too much on gameplay. I get the feeling I'm still on the tutorial of sorts, as I'm still barely into Sevastopol Station, and I've only seen the Alien as part of scripted bits where it's ran across a room or something. But if it continues as it has been then this will be a very fun game. Playing on medium difficulty.

Like, half my Halo collection. Not pictured is a ton of mega bloks stuff, most of the books (They're in a box so I can't picture them) and some other bits. I have every collector's edition sans Halo 5 (fuck that) and every dvd release sans Fall of Reach (fuck that). Also pictured is a small bit of fallout merch I got at the bethesda launch event last october. Not sure how much my Halo stuff will continue to grow, as I've severely lost interest in the franchise and I probably won't get any new books or games

Sounds like it'll be more of a LAN MP gameplay reveal. God knows when they'll have decent netcode.
Battlefield 4 and Battlefront have top tier netcode I don't see why those technologies won't be carried over.
I suppose they might have improved it since then. Pre-CTE BF4 and BF3 (and to an extent BC2) all had lackluster or frankly terrible hit detection.
BF4 now has really good hit detection and overall netcode. It was pretty awful at launch but Dice LA really did wonders with the game. Shame 343 didn't ever fix MCC like DICE did.

But why wait for the GOTY to drop in price
Because I want to get Battlefield, Titanfall and Halo Wars this year provided none of them turn out shit. Plus driving lessons and building a PC. I'm happy to wait until it drops another 10 or 20 pounds before buying it.

Just got both of them for £10 each. Which would you recommend playing first? Alien is new and is ripley edition so it has fancy DLC stuff, too. Wolfenstein is pre owned. I do plan on getting Doom at some point but I'm waiting for it to drop in price because I'm cheap like that.

I'd say watching an entire season and using that to enjoy it is entirely fair. By that point, they should have set up all the major characters and plot points that it will rely on for the majority of the show. If you're not interested by then, then either the showrunners or whatever have done a bad job of hooking you on it. It's a logic that extends to all shows, not just anime.
Like, you wouldn't expect someone to have to watch all sixty hours of gameof thrones or however long of the Walking Dead before they're allowed to have an opinion on it. Likewise, if a game has failed to grab your interest by the time it's introduced all of it's main mechanics, then you've probably got good ground to say you don't like it. Unless you should have to spend 40+ hours playing Fallout New Vegas and doing every side quest, every map location and such before being allowed to say it's bad.
Then again I stopped watching house of cards like, 15 minutes in because kevin spacey started talking to me and I don't like that. Maybe I'm just strange.

Was Hardline in good condition in rehards to netcode on launch? I remember the beta being pretty good but I neverbought it.

I'd like to say that I'm surprised the delay caused this kind of reaction, but the hardcore Sony fanbase is absolutely toxic and has a long and vocal history of doing this kind of stuff.
Has it? It seems pretty unanimous across all platforms Maybe except nintendo. Though I don't follow anything nintendo related so maybe I'm wrong.

I'm always happy when games are delayed. I wish games were delayed more often, actually. Give the developers ALL the time they need to make the best game they can make, and then release it.
I realize it's a business, and people are impatient assholes, but as someone who considers games to be an art form, I can't say I ever find myself that upset when a game I'm looking forward to gets pushed back by a few months.
Better a quality game released late than a buggy, incomplete fuckfest released early.
I generally agree with this. Though when a game gets delayed too much and/or a bunch of key staff leave (Ex. Destiny, Mass Effect 4), it can also be a cause for concern.

They've likely been working on the game for a while. It's been 3 years since BF4 came out after all.
Wanting to show off the mp this early though indicates that EA and DICE are confident in their product. Hopefully it doesn't crash and burn on stage.
Like E3 '13 where they couldn't get the audio to work? Anyway, I'm super excited for this. Get hype.
