Yeah, the bin laden face definitely looks 'shopped.

Good one, but you can tell if you look closely. Doesn't look right. Little things like the lighting, the edges being a bit blurrier than the rest of the image and stuff.

Looks like it was superimposed on top of another image. I just reverse-searched the image and a bunch of other images of bin laden use the same face.

So yeah it's fake

I used to talk to Sandtrap a lot before he disappeared on XBL and... he never sounded like a healthy guy.

Seems like a lot of work to do that for that long, on such a tasteless and stupid joke.

Can't help at all with development but I can share some basic info about modern weapons and aircraft, fighter tactics, radar systems, how modern naval vessels engage in combat, etc.

That would be amazing. I've been reading a lot of projectrho stuff (He has gone super in-depth on space stuff) but any first hand knowledge would be brilliant. Thanks!

Feel free to just PM if you have questions, or if you can narrow it down; I have no idea what would be relevant to you. Just based on your description, if you're thinking about modeling your capital ship combat on historical or modern tactics, I can help there. If you're going with a more generic sci-fi approach (seen in almost any current sci-fi material like Halo or Star Wars, where big ships just float around and shoot lasers), there's not much that needs to be said.

I'm going for the more realistic approach where the ships sit out at around a light-second distance from each other and slug it out with hypervelocity coilguns and high-powered lasers, where any hit is essentially a mission kill. But stuff like how radar works and the like would definitely be useful.

Honestly as far as I have to help at all would be 3D level design in the idea of dungeons and worlds. Not exactly what you need.
I'm developing my own ideas too, so can't invest too much time elsewhere.

However if you want some advice when it comes to game design hit me up. I've been going through multiple games just to see how they influence players recently. (Like my Mass Effect playthrough)

I'm only looking for critical feedback as I develop mechanics and the like. I'm developing this almost entirely solo (Sans sound assets - I know a guy), and it's going to be set in space (And I mean a more realistic interpretation of it) so level design itself isn't as much an issue. Thanks for the offer, nonetheless.

So I'm pretty much going into making my first game. Currently in the planning stages, and making the assets proper and what have you. I have a loose set of ideas for mechanics down (which I'll briefly talk about in a bit) but otherwise the specifics are going to be done as I go forward. Essentially, I'm hoping for a couple people who I'd be able to message with to get feedback on ideas and stuff going forward, and depending on if I ever get that far, maybe even beta test (Though I'd be surprised if I ever get that far). I'm hoping to do this over the course of the next few months as something simple to show as part of my experience, as I'll be applying for Games Design and Development courses at university soon. It'll hardly be a massive thing, but something small and simple and hopefully enough to put me in a good light going forward, and so I can start getting experience.

The idea is simple enough. Over the past few years, I've been developing my own sci-fi universe... lore... thing. Anyway, I'm planning on making something set in it, primarily revolving around capital ship combat in the more realistic end of scifi- as in, I'll be using actual rocket equations and the like to develop my mechanics*. Alongside this will be some minor influences/ inspirations from Star Wars: Battlefront II's Galactic Conquest mode in regards to taking over all the planets and doing ground invasions. This is a very minor overview of what I've got planned.

Elsewise, all assets and development are being done myself or with help from others, so what I'm asking here is pure feedback stuff, rather than helping in development. Anyway, hopefully what I've posted ^^ will be enough for anyone interested to decide if it's something they'd be interested in or not. If you are interested, just post in this thread. I'll probably be doing this via PMs when I get going.

*Part of this is also to assist in learning some more advanced physics stuff. I find it easier to learn things when I can apply them in proper context. In this case, learning about Delta-V and rocket equations and stuff is a lot easier when I can apply it beyond just theory.

Do you perhaps like Delta Squad?
Perhaps
Do you also, possibly, as do I, hold on to the slim chance that we may, just may, get a new game?

More to the point, when the fuck are we getting Book 6?
Never. The Clone Wars retconned the whole series.

It didn't retcon everything. Mainly the mandalorian bits, and even then it's not hard to make them work.

Mediterraneans (Spaniards, Italians, fairer north Africans) are not real Whites.

So who constitutes as "real whites"?
Anglos, Danes, Saxons, Nords, Avernii French, Celtic Iberians, Slavs, and Muscovites.

I'm a northener

Do I count?

I enjoyed his DCU stuff.

Not as much as I enjoy Marvel's stuff, but I'm a lot more invested in Marvel whereas the current DCU only has two films so that's to be expected, really. Though I have no pre-existing attachment to Supes so that probably explains why I'm not too bothered by the whole thing of him destroying metropolis in the same way that I have no preexisting care for Star Trek, so I quite like the JJverse stuff.

My only real problem with BvS was it was way too loud. That final fight scene was just noise, you culdn't discern anything in particular from it. Elsewise, it was an enjoyable film, otherwise. I'm looking forward to getting the extended cut come august as I want to see the whole film as originally intended.

Survival is a mode with food, water, disease, sleep, save-on-sleep (no save scumming), harder combat, reduced carry weight and a couple more bits. It's good, but I'd recommend waiting until patch 1.6 to start, as it adds an automatic save on exit that is deleted once you load it, in case of crashes. Elsewise, survival is the best way to play Fallout 4 as it makes the game more challenging at lower levels.

Elsewise?

-Get charisma to 6 as soon as possible so you can get the local leader perk and craft weapon modding benches, armour workbenches and so forth
-take everything you see. Even if you're not interested in making crazy city settlements, you'll always need junk for modifying weapons
-you can be a part of each faction simultaeneously. Do a bunch of each faction's side quests and main quests before choosing one or the other so you can get all the cool toys.
-Regardless of your status with the Brotherhood, Railroad and Institute, the Minutemen will always be your friends
-Give settlements a go. They're a massive part of the game and if you like minecraft, then you'll lile settlements. They're even more essential on Survival as no fast travel means you need every opportunity you have to use a bed, get resources or modify your equipment.
-the lone wanderer perk can be used while dogmeat is a companion. The first two ranks add a total of 75 to your carry weight
-Fusion cores are fairly common and you'll soon have dozens of them for using your power armour.

As for mods, here are some of my personal favourites.
-Darker nights
-Seph's Brutality overhaul (makes humans squisher but makes robots and mutants much much tougher. More realistic damage in survival in other words)
-No Guns Allowed (makes weapons and ammo pretty scarce so you actually have a reason to use melee weapons)
-Unleveled Wasteland (Makes it so level 80 enemies can spawn at Level 1 and vice versa. Really fun. Also means you can get high level weapons at a low level to offset this)
-No God Rays and No Lens Flare (improves performance by removing som fancy lighting. Only really important if you're on console as it drops below 30 pretty frequently)

As well as the two mods incan listed.

Overall the mods I have are designed to make the game generally more challenging. Though for your first playthrough I'd experience the game vanilla so you can get a feel for it and decide what you enjoy.

Also what about the Bolton host that's probably garrisoned at Dreadfort? What are they doing?
The who and the what fort?

That little castle that's home to the people that took winterfell, and likely has an army of people looking to avenge the guy who was executed by his own dogs.

Just a little thing, I don't think it's that important.
In the books it's mentioned that it's only garrisoned with 50 men.

Plus I doubt the people had much love for Ramsey

Well then disregard my last.

I'm hoping for a clash with Euron the Based. She'll ultimately triumph because dragons and stronk womyn, but won't have enough men to take the red keep once she lands in the west, so will be forced to seek Azor Jon and the north for help.
Euron has DragonBinder, He will have the dragons... Therefore he wins.

Victarion has it now, with his fleet in Slaver's Bay.

And neither of these are happening in the show so it doesn't matter either way.
