Yes
Because I live in the north, so seeing the sun is equivalent to leaving the vault in Fallout 3.

Eh. If the story and reasoning and context are good, meh. Characters like Bucky and Morales have taken on the mantlebof other heroes before (Cap and Spidey, respectively), don't see this as being any different.

With GRRM's stance on almost every topic covered being extremely negative (and these feelings are very apparent in ASOIAF), I'd be inclined to say no one will "win" the game of thrones. His whole thing is that war, feudalism and stuff are shit and nobody gets anything good out of them so it would be weird for the end result to be that someone is placed on the iron throne and wins via all that.
This is actually my reasoning for why Littlefinger will win. By the end of the series, feudalism will be ended and Littlefinger will be the leader of the new Westeros. I believe GRRM has confirmed that Littlefinger is based on Oliver Cromwell which is part of my reasoning.
I'm pretty sure Cromwell didn't last too long. But otherwise, not sure about CIA overall. I've generally seen him as a means to an end for Sansa, and she does have power over him right now considering she saved him from execution by lying about Lysa's death. I lean towards him getting killed at some point.

Including Voyager, DS9 and stuff. What should I watch first?- does watching the sub-series'require watching from the beginning (my only history with Trek is the JJVerse stuff) or could I watch say... Deep Space 9 before Series 1 or whatever?
I've heard DS9 is more a larger story than just planet of the week so I'm interested in watching that.
Partially because I'm interested as to why everyone despises JJverse stuff so much. I quite enjoyed Star Trek and... whatever the second one was called and I'm looking forward to Beyond but I'm also wanting to see the original stuff to see if it really is as superior as people say.
Though it was either this, Battlestar or Stargate.

Tbh if you want to complain about unnecessary money spending, I would be looking at the US government buying tanks that the army said it doesn't need.

In other news, someone on reddit leaked a buttfuckton of images from new DLC. https://m.imgur.com/a/XNs8dTbh the stuff that I'll be able to put in settlements above ground looks cool. Planters, new guard posts, beds that aren't shit, etc. Can't say the actual vault stuff interests me though.

Nuka World is the last DLC for Fallout 4. You gotta be fucking kidding me.
Now I'm starting to regret buying the season pass.
You're a bit late to the party.

I mean, Learn to Fly by the Foo Fighters is one of my favorite songs of all time, and the Foo Fighters are my favorite band.
I'd say they're very mainstream rock.
Pretender and All My Life are my personal favourites. I think Pretender would count as a normie song, but it's still really good.

Muse Foo Fighters Nirvana Pendulum Prodigy Red Hot Chili Peppers
And the odd (as in, 1 or 2) song by Pink Floyd, Arctic Monkeys, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, ACDC and Stone Roses.
Though out of those the only band I've listened to/ own every song (including B-sides and live performances) is Muse. Black Holes and Revelations is still my favourite album of all time.
Not sure how much of that counts as mainstream.

Posting this here because of relevance.
I like how he never actually explains the context of what he's talking about. Had to go on the subreddit after watching this morning to find out.
he links what he's talking about right underneath the video on youtube
I watch YT mainly on Xbox. They don't show descriptions for some reason.

Juno is going to within 3000km of Jupiter's cloud layer. Provided all goes well, this is the first time we've sent anything this far into the atmosphere of a giant. We can expect more detailed atmospheric samples, a better understanding of how the planet formed, advancements in our understanding of how magnetic fields and radiation work, a better look at the planet's van allen belt, and a bunch of other stuff that advances our understanding of the universe and the ever slim possibility of discovering microorganisms living in the upper atmosphere and more. To assume we wouldn't learn anything from it just belies how you have no idea what you're talking about.
When did I say learn? I meant HELP. How does it HELP us right now? Learning more about the gas giant is good, i'm fine with that. However they are putting a lot of money into something that could only go three ways.
1: We learn a lot more about Jupiter, yaaay. 2: It was a complete waste of time. 3: We have a huge discovery which could benefit us greatly.
That 3rd is has a 1 out of 1000000 chance of happening, while the 1st and 2nd options Have a 60/40 chance of happening respectively. Even if we discover more about Jupiter, what could we possibly gain from that? More Knowledge? Okay, knowledge is fine, but can't help us if it's a 5 year probe trip away. Just trying to think practically here.
No, you're not. You want to know how it affects you, right now. You don't actually have any interest in knowing about any of this, you just want to know how it will benefit you now, and if it doesn't? Well then it's pointless amirite?

It's like literally none of you can read. Pip never said we wouldn't learn anything from it
He simply asked why we're doing it now (he literally says atm in the title) when we couldn't feasibility go there for quite some time.
Okay So, say we get round to doing this in a hundred years; why not just do it later on then? Why ever bother? We can always do it later, after all. Why not get started now so that we can lay the foundation for whatever crazy shit ends up going on in the future? Might be a daft comparison but it's probably just dependant on your mindset. Do you do your homework the night you get it or five minutes before you need to hand it in kind of thing. The whole "Why not do it later" thing is a bad attitude to anything, ultimately. When is later?

Just gonna put this here because it's half relevant and not worth its own thread; is VaatiVidya's channel on YT good for DS Lore stuff?
Ye.
Though he kind of relies too much on the timeline universes in his DaS3 vids.
I'm assuming that only matters if you've actually played the games, yes?
