So, does this one take place in the same place as DS1? I remember firelink being a place in that game as well.
Your will revisit a certain area but it mostly it takes place in a different place that is quite close to the locale of DaS1. Like a neighbouring kingdom if you will.
Likewise for everything else, there are lore reasons as to why they are so near to each other.
The Firelink Shrine here is completely different from the one in DaS1.
Oh ok
Is there really any info on how lordran(I think that was DS1's place) and drangleic and (DS3 location) interacted with each other or whatever at their prime?
The way how DaS2 relates to 3 is really a headscratcher. As Miyazaki wasn't involved in its development, since he was working on Bloodborne, the story took a drastic deviation from 1. It's best to assume that DaS2 had almost no effect on the overarching lore of the series given the very, very few references to it in DaS3 and the convenient explanation that it's an alternate realm altogether provided by the intro cutscene of DaS2.
On the other hand references to 1 and are everywhere and even unavoidable in 3. More or less quick summary: The flame is fading and needes undead with special souls to link it, like the protagonist of DaS1. But as time goes on less and less undead are fit to link the flame and as a desperate measure previous lords of cinders, those who have already given themselves to the flame, are awakened from the dead to act as fuel yet again. They refuse. So instead the Unkindled Ashes, the undead unfit to link the flame, are sendt out to inherit the cinders of the lords so they could link the flame again, somehow. Lothric is in the center of all this as it's the link to of the first flame and graveyard of the Unkindled Ashes.
Hope this somehow helps - if you've got further questions or want to know about something precisely don't be afraid to ask.
So does your DS1 character appear as a boss at any point in the same way Sheogorath in Skyrim is technically the Hero of Kvatch from Oblivion? Because that would be sweet.
No.
Oh, that's a shame. That'd be really cool, though I suppose it's understandable they don't want to mess with peoples' RPs. When I get this powered USB hub for my external HDD I might try and get into DS1 again for like the fourth time. Idunno.

I'm not all that disappointed with the DLC plan. I mean, I like settlements and it follows Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim in doing two big ones and a smaller/ a bunch of smaller ones. Tbh Fallout 3 was the outlier in the DLC stuff and Vegas was a different developer.
Though taking mods and repackaging them into official content is kind of a dick move, as well as nonsensical within the context of the setting.

Fun game, bad Fallout game.
But funnily, if it weren't a Fallout game, I would have stopped playing it ages ago for the same reasons I don't really like Borderlands.

We need more users on ps4. No one wants to play bf4 with me...
That's your fault for buying a ps4.
I've heard you on Xbox Live before. I would buy a PS4 to make sure of that never again.
The North of England is both a wonderful and terrifying place.

The Three Flavours trilogy - Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead and The World's End are all fantastic films. Run Fat Boy Run and Paul (many of the same actors) are also good.
I don't watch much horror, but if I do then it's generally Alien, Aliens or Alien 3. Maybe Prometheus if I'm in the mood for it.
I know some good shows, though most of it's British stuff.

Metro for the reasons stated above.
Alien: Isolation takes the cake though. Fantastic in every detail.

I don't get the hype for this. It looks like a really cool game, but it seems like the hype surrounding it is a bit overblown.

I really need to play it. Right now it's sitting in my library as part of my backlog.
It's not something you complete, mind. Ypu just go on for abit, do whatever you do then go off and play something else. It's a game to play while listening to podcasts or something, you can't just sit there ans expect to complete it.

I don't see why it matters. It's an early 20th century game, female soldiers were very rare. I'm pretty sure the few that served in russia before russia pulled out had to dress up and act like men anyway.

Went to WHSmiths (a book shop) today with some vouchers. Came out of WHS with Alien Volume 1 (three alien novels) and Dune, the scifi classic. Anyone read either? What should I read first. Spoiler I'm sorry psy, their scifi and fantasy section consists of one small shelf and there's no room for 40K when ASOIAF takes up 80% of that space. I do plan on reading that recommendation list eventually.

-Fighters -MOBAs -Sports games -Racing games -Spectacle Fighters (Stuff like bayonetta) -Anything involving motion controls -MMOs -That kind of third person melee combat you get in games like Dragon Age and Witcher. Not my thing. -JRPGs of any kind -Platformers -Almost anything produced by Capcom, Konami, Nintendo and the other big Japanese developers. -Horror stuff. Alien is my one exception here because I love Alien. -Mobile games -Card Games -"Hero Shooters" - stuff like TF2, Overwatch, Battleborn etc. -Spunkgargleweewee Shooters (The Zero Punctuation term). Sans Battlefield, I have little interest in military shooters like CoD, Medal of Honour and so forth.
Think that covers it.

Fuckin lazy ass nasty girls too lazy to go fuck up a target themselves so they gotta play with the EOD bot from Battlefield
When you're trapped in the Metro with 63 other people and enough lead to protect from a He3-D Fusion Reaction, EOD buddy is suddenly your best friend.
