Incidentally here's how the new playlist structure is looking; Halo CE: Ranked 2v2, Social 4v4, Social BTB Halo 2: Ranked TS, Ranked Team Hardcore, Social BTB H2A: Ranked 4v4 Arena H3: Ranked TS, Ranked Team Hardcore, Ranked FFA, Social BTB H4: Social BTB Glad they're splitting up the Longshore and Complex playlist into different games so I can actually play Halo 2 BTB for once, but I'm sad that there doesn't look to be any H2A big team playlist. I've not once played H2A's Zanzibar and Coagulation remakes, and I've played Remnant once back when it first dropped. Here's hoping H2A gets mixed into the H2 BTB playlist. Sooo... when is the MCC update going to come out?
winter?
4 years too late. Wonder why 343 takes such a long time to "fix" things?
Rushing the game was what broke it in the first place, because they had less than a year to make the stuff outside H2A. I'd much rather they take their time and make sure the damn thing works before releasing this update.

Titanfall 1 I don't recall having many issues in Bad Company 2 but its been 5+ years since I last played it Rainbow Six Siege has decent netcode too from what I can tell but I'm on uni internet so I have virtually zero ping.

Respawn are there showing one of their three projects. I want it to be Titanfall 3 but I expect it to be Star Wars, sadly.

Most higher-end theaters these days ask you to choose your seat when buying your ticket so that everyone is guaranteed a spot when going to see a movie.
Assigned seat? This isn't a standard thing in the US?
I've never seen such a thing in Pennsylvania
what the fuck how do you make sure you get the seats you want

just boosted a bunch of those ebola MCC multiplayer achievements with 3 other controllers lads.
I like how forge and customs count towards the multiplayer achievements.

I really lile the OT for gameplay and stuff, and they have a great story. There's not much bad to say about these aside from that Halo 3's pitiful FOV and netcode have not allowed the game to age too well, and I have a hard time going back to it after playing on games with 100+ FOV.
Reach has a top notch aesthetic (and arguably what got me interested in games art), still one of the best custom game experiences in the series and a well designed campaign (even if the multiplayer and writing missed the mark). ODST has a great tone and is just generally good.
Halo 4 I think there's some stuff to like and in an alternate universe would have been remembered as the slightly wonky start to a trilogy. Some of the missions like Requiem, Composer and Midnight I still find fairly enjoyable, and there are some parts of the game that look pretty damn good (Requiem and Shutdown in particular). The version of multiplayer they did without loadouts and ordnance is pretty fun, but it's a shame they took so long to implement it because the game was dead by then. Other than that, most of the maps, spartan ops and forge weren't great. I've been generally able to forgive a lot of this one because of the circumstances of development, though I still hate the way they do forerunner stuff. Bringing the Didact in that early was a mistake.
Halo 5 can fuck off. Outside of forge there isn't a single aspect of the game I can say I like, and forge is useless when the custom games are terrible.

The Expanse is pretty good. I'd recommend both the books and show if you're into science fiction at all. It's a fairly hard (when compared to your typical hollywood scifi) take on a colonised system and a cold war between Earth, Mars and the populations of the Asteroid Belt. It has some weird stuff like stupidly efficient drives and no radiators but ships have to do deceleration burns, there's no lasers or plasma weapons and gravity is provided by centrifugal force or thrust of engines. It also does a really nice job of fleshing out the cultures of Mars and the Belt based on the conditions they live in, and makes the world feel very believable.
The first couple episodes of the show are a little slow to start off because they're mostly just worldbuilding stuff to get the viewers caught up with how everything works,so I'd say that if you're not interested by episode 4 then chances are you won't be interested in everything after (personally, I was hooked more or less based on how good the opening titles were because they just "felt" something unique), but otherwise I think it's the best space scifi we've had on TV since the early 2000s. The production value is really nice too, the CGI and sets look pretty great for the most part, and they only get better as it goes on.

Voting between three/four options is flawed because the community tends to only pick one map/gametype. Reach was terrible with this in BTB because it might as well have been renamed the Hemorrhage Playlist. Hemorrhage was arguably the only good map with all the other shit maps in that game and I'm sorry you didn't have any friends to play with to help you vote for your favorite map in BTB in Reach.
The same situation applies in MCC, you're guaranteed the community will vote fucking Valhalla 9/10 times despite it being such a bland map.Veto means you can't just play the same map/gametype every time Go play Social Slayer right now in Halo 3, veto the first map that shows up, and tell me if you get a map that's not Last Resort/Narrows/Construct that comes up next. Social Slayer was the most populated playlist back in the day so I'm using that as an example.
Having Veto means you can't just play the same map/gametype every time; not everyone wants to play CTF on Valhalla every single match. With Veto you might get Slayer on Relic, or Dominion on Longbow, or Assault on Last Resort. The Veto system was flawed. If Team BRs gets vetoed, then the next gametype would always be Team Slayer no matter what. If Team Duals gets vetoed, then the next gametype would always be Team Slayer. There was no variety with the Veto system. Again, using the Social Slayer example.
I've seen more variety in the gamemodes I'm playing right now in the MCC than I ever did with Halo 3, also stretching across all 4 games.
All of these issues with veto can be solved by simply making it choose a random map and gametype combo.

God having several voting options is shit in comparison to Veto. It's garbage in MCC and the only detriment to Halo Online.
They're getting rid of it in the MCC update.
Oh boy can't wait to be forced to play some meme shit like slayer on prisoner or literally anything halo 4.
They're getting rid of cross game playlists I'm pretty sure, because as part of the rework you can choose to only install certain games. If you don't want anything to do with Halo 4, you can uninstall the game entirely but keep CE, 2 or 3.

WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?
Honestly I don't even think this design looks that bad. It's not on the level of Red Team's design, but it's still light years ahead of basically any armour 343 has designed internally for Halo 4/5. I rather like the fusion of the new MKVI (one of the only 343 armour designs I'm really all thatfond of) with some more classic MKIV/ MKV elements. .
Plus, I actually found the reasoning for the design change they gave to make a lot of sense this time around.
Its basically the Halo Wars alpha helmet, no?
Mix of that, MKV Alpha and the Halo 4 MK VI.

in the case of bo4 it will likely take the place of a traditional campaign.
that's not a good thing

im actually okay with other games having a battle royale mode, granted they do something at least a little original with it. its a great concept.
tbf there's a difference between building a game with it in mind and shoving it into games where it just flat out doesn't belong as a cheap gimmick. It's like jet packs and wallrunning all over again - titanfall worked because the game was designed from the ground up to support that, and had the interplay of speedy mcfast gameplay with the slow and hulking Titans, while Call of Duty just slapped jet packs on an existing gameplay loop and didn't change the map design or game design philosophy accordingly to accomodate such a change. Black Ops 4 and Battlefield 5 (if the leaks are true) having them is gonna be a clusterfuck because neither game was built for such a thing.

the problem i see with TWD and GoT is that they don't seem to have any discernible method for who and how they kill their characters--it feels random and arbitrary, like a soap opera, which, sure, adds tension in the laziest and most superficial way, but it's unearned and there's no lesson, message, or anything to take way from that death other than "oh no, my favorite character died for basically no reason, hopefully he actually lived somehow" Not that I disagree with a lot of your post, but I don't think this is accurate. At least not when it applies to GoT anyway. I don't really have a dog in TWD fight.
Part of what makes GoT interesting is the various and seemingly insignificant choices the characters make which eventually culminate to their demise. You can trace all their decisions back for a couple seasons and see how and why they got to where they are.
Take Robb and Ned Stark for example. You can pinpoint exactly where the characters fucked up at various points in the show (disrespecting Walder Frey, trusting Littlefinger etc), which makes you think in hindsight, maybe these characters aren't as special as you initially thought.
So I don't think the show boils down to "hurr durr so randumb and subversive XD", but more like, yeah, there's legitimate consequences to the choices characters make in this universe.
I'm assuming there's the obligatory "until about season 5" comment you need to mentally add.

Movie was good but my theater audience was absolute cancer of clapping and shouting and whistling. Character: *breathes* *50 people start clapping and hollering*
It annoyed the shit out of me because I couldn’t even hear the movie at times. Girlfriend liked it too.
>american audiences
one guy in front of me turned round just before the climax of the film and shouted out the ending because a kid was kicking his chair though. I'd already seen it so it didn't bother me but I saw a bunch of people really pissed off.
What a douche bag. How did no one say anything
I guess it's just more a british thing
I did see the kid's (who had been shouted at) parents having a go at the dude after the film though. The cinema in my town lowered ticket prices to a flat £4.99 for everyone + being a saturday evening on launch weekend just meant that it was a really full screening, compared to whenI usually go at like midday/ late morning on a weekday.
spoiling movies is a british thing?
The "how did no one say anything" bit.
