If that's how science works, black holes wouldn't exist, let alone emit radiation. That kind of thinking has no place in any scientist's mind.

I find it a lot easier to believe the damn thing isn't going to work than to believe...

Those can be backed up by mathematics. This thing cannot.

Cynics, the lot of you

I find it a lot easier to believe the damn thing isn't going to work than to believe that the entire base of all modern science is completely wrong and will have to be rewritten to accomodate this new discovery while also fitting in Laws of Motion, Relativity, Conservation of Energy and so forth.

« on: September 08, 2016, 04:23:26 AM »
why would anyone buy the same console again which plays the same games, plus a 4K monitor just for better grafix

fuck off
Why don't you ask the people who buy PCs over consoles just for graphics?

Because you can get a noticeable improvement in texture quality, resolution, frame-rate, detail on the map, access to the complete library/ no need for backwards compatibility (Wanna play Battlefield 2? KOTOR? Doom 1?) mods, steam sales, early access (if that's your thing), a lot of games that aren't available on console (Strategy, MMOs etc), ability to use the PC for other endeavours (Graphic design, 3D modelling, video editing etc), and the ability to customise to your comfort.

A new PS4 doesn't really do anything the older one doesn't except it's now a bit shinier. And that extra shinyness won't be used to its full extent by any game that isn't exclusive because multiplat developers 9 times out of 10 don't have the time or resources (or both) to optimize each version of their product to each platform as well as a dev working for one console could. And if they're spending their budget on making it look shiny, you're probably just looking at a tech demo (See: Rise, Order 1886: Victorian Warfare and such).

So unless you have a raging boner for the crap lineup of exclusives the current consoles have to offer, 4K is just a meme that isn't actually worth anything. Certainly not worth ditching a console you currently own to buy a fancier version of anyway.

Meanwhile the ice caps are larger than ever
Well, yeah, why wouldn't they be?

The ozone layer has been repairing itself for the past few decades from all the CFCs prior to when products containing them were made illegal. We would expect Antarctica to be growing. . .
So that shows that Earth isn't warming....
. . . No.

It shows that damage done to the ozone layer by atomic halogens in previously widely used products is repairing itself.
Which causes the Earth to cool....

>when people think ozone layer depletion  causes global warming

this has been a successful stream

my name appeared a grand total of 15 times
What am I looking at?
it's a stream tradition to spam the stream with notifications and get our name to appear as much as possible

we also intentionally start arguments in the stream chat and derail it with memes

Did you tell them to message tt for req packs

radiant quests are fucking shit
remove radiant quests
remove legendary system
more unique weapons

that's a quarter of the way to significantly improving fallout 4

There's nothing inherently wrong with radiant quests, as long as they're not replacing regular quests and still have some variety. Slyrim's thieve's guild (And dark brotherhood) quests were great because they gave a variety of objectives in a variety of locations, so you could mess about and come up with new ways of achieving the objective. On top of that, you were working towards something by building TG rep in each city, then unlocking new fences, stores in the Thieve's Guild and that sweet Guildmaster Armour set.

In Fallout 4, the problem is that all radiants are just go and empty a dungeon, which is exactly what you'd be doing anyway. There's no feeling of accomplishment or anything like you could get with, say, a reputation system.

Radiant quests are nice to have but they shouldn't be there at the expense of other content. They're a cool idea by themselves.

how did they get away with it?

Nah, fuck watching movies on TV. The commercial breaks are longer than the damn movie.
Shit like that ruined Top Gear for me. In 2010 a different network got the rights and they made Ads a third of the entire time slot, and started broadcasting it super late.

>he doesn't have bbc to watch top gear
>but then i remember that top gear is now shit because clarkson and co left

kill me now

I've noticed that there has to be a vehicle available before you deploy in order to customize it. I really hope they fix that in the final game.

i'd guess that that's in the soldier menu that's grayed out in the beta

I doubt it. The updated BF4 UI soldier tab is just for dog tags/ assignments/ battlepacks. I imagine this will be the same.
