The main reason gaming probably feels slow is because there's not much coming out to incite discussion. Last year had a lot of MGS, Fallout and Halo stuff. This year there's not much coming out that inspires a lot of in-depth discussion. At least not discussion in the people who come here.
Battlefield.... maybe? But otherwise the title selection this year is kind of mediocre.

Wait
Even if you buy the disc you have to sit through a 100gb download before you can play?
I recently rebought halo 5 and had to spend a week downloading 45.5gb worth of title updates, on top of a 45gb install from the disc.
Edit: current consoles make you install games from the disc. A 500gb hard drive is like a 20gb on 360. No plug n'play anymore.
What the fuck?
Downloading a full game on on the 360 is like 10 gigabytes at the most. What the hell happened?
The DVDs that X360/ PS3 games were printed on could only store about 6GB of data. Blu-Ray discs can store about 45GB. That, combined with the increased quality of textures, audio, and so forth mean games are a lot bigger. Factor in DLC and endless title updates and games are pretty big. It's hardly unexpected. Every jump of generation makes games a lot bigger; cartridges could store a few hundred MB or something, CDs could store something similar, or maybe 2GB (A bit fuzzy on specifics) which is why a lot of PS1 games came on fifteen million discs. As hardware and storage capabilities increase, so do the space required for software storage.

There's a few people here who I do like. Though most, if not all, of them I interact with outside of Sep7. Other forums/ XBL and such.

I'd do russian out of those because it's cool.
But then I was forced to do French at GCSE and I fucking hated it (It meant I had to drop two subjects I otherwise wanted to do) so I'm perhaps not the best person to listen to. Those french lessons killed more or less all interest I will ever have in learning another language.

There's men who trim their nails every single day?
no
I don't trim my nails with clippers every day but I use other nail care tools on an almost daily basis.
do teeth count as nail care tools

Teeth, shower, deoderant, shave whenever I feel like doing it (usually once a week or more).
Fuck the rest of that, I don't have enough time in a morning.

Considering SpaceX's rockets can't leave the launch site without blowing up, Boeing should have an easy time of beating them as long as they're able to leave orbit.
You mean that one rocket that blew up on the launch pad before the engines even fired, the one that wasn't supposed to leave that day and the one the blew up due to a fault with the refuelling equipment? That one that is ninth in a series of succesful launches?
Maybe actually look into shit before making retarded comments about it.

SPACE RACE 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO WHEN?
Fitting, now that corporations are more relevant on the global stage than nations.
Spoiler Not being snarky, it's genuinely interesting.
Yeah. It's good that we're seeing competition among companies wanting to go to space, too. It drives technology forward a lot. Plus it's nice having a space race that isn't basically the forefront for nuclear weapons tech.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-10-04/boeing-ceo-vows-to-beat-musk-to-mars-as-new-space-race-beckonsBoeing Co. once helped the U.S. beat the Soviet Union in the race to the moon. Now the company intends to go toe-to-toe with newcomers such as billionaire Elon Musk in the next era of space exploration and commerce. Boeing Chief Executive Officer Dennis Muilenburg sketched out a Jetsons-like future at a conference Tuesday, envisioning a commercial space-travel market with dozens of destinations orbiting the Earth and hypersonic aircraft shuttling travelers between continents in two hours or less. And Boeing intends to be a key player in the initial push to send humans to Mars, maybe even beating Musk to his long-time goal.
“I’m convinced the first person to step foot on Mars will arrive there riding a Boeing rocket,” Muilenburg said at the Chicago event on innovation, which was sponsored by the Atlantic magazine.
Like Musk’s SpaceX, Boeing is focused on building out the commercial space sector near earth as spaceflight becomes more routine, while developing technology to venture far beyond the moon. The Chicago-based aerospace giant is working with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration to develop a heavy-lift rocket called the Space Launch System for deep space exploration. Boeing and SpaceX are also the first commercial companies NASA selected to ferry astronauts to the International Space Station.
Mars Transport Musk last week welcomed competitors as he unveiled a SpaceX craft that would dwarf the workhorse of Apollo missions of a half-century ago, hauling 100 travelers to Mars with cruise-ship-style amenities.
“The goal of SpaceX really is to build the transport system. It’s like building the Union Pacific railroad,” Musk told a space conference, as he laid out a plan to bring travel to Mars to a mass market with tickets priced one day as low as $100,000.
Boeing built the first stage for the Saturn V, the most powerful U.S. rocket ever built, which took men to the moon. Nowadays, Muilenburg sees space tourism closer to home “blossoming over the next couple of decades into a viable commercial market.” The International Space Station could be joined in low-earth orbit by dozens of hotels and companies pursuing micro-gravity manufacturing and research, he said. “I think it’s a fascinating area for us,” he said.
Muilenburg said Boeing will make spacecraft for the new era of tourists. He also sees potential for hypersonic aircraft, traveling at upwards of three times the speed of sound.
Science Fiction Boeing and Lockheed Martin Corp. are among the space heavyweights developing experimental aircraft that could fly U.S. travelers at speeds right out of a science fiction movie.
Lockheed’s Falcon Hypersonic Technology Vehicle 2 is being designed to zip through the sky at Mach 20 (about 13,000 miles per hour), flying between New York and Los Angeles in 12 minutes. Boeing’s X-51A WaveRider, which relied on its own shock waves for compression lift, reached Mach 5.1 in 2013.
Costs will need to drop substantially before these experimental spacecraft can be seriously considered for commercial use, Muilenburg said.
“That business model isn’t closed yet. At some point it will,” he said. “The future of innovation has to include not only the technology, but economic viability.” SPACE RACE 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO WHEN?

conquest is going back to tickets where kills = contributing to the ticket. Though it's unclear how if 1 kill = 1 ticket, or a percentage. BUT you won't lose that ticket until you're in the respawn screen, so medic's are important again.
Support is also getting stuff to deal with tanks.
Wow, you're out of the loop. But yeah, they're definitely listening. Assuming that the menus/ UI are functional, this will probably be a day one purchase for sure (especially considering the suckers that get the 10 day/ 3 day early versions are basically testing the final product). BF4 just hasn't felt the same since the beta. Could just be the new UI making finding a match a frustrating experience, though
