Protip: Go on Operations on Iron Wall (Monte Grappa map) and play as Austria. Then let the italians get to Sector 3, at which point you'll be given point B with a bunker. This bunker is literally invulnerable as long as you have a few medics in there. No matter what the attackers use - gas, flames, MGs, high explosives - it is impossible to lose that bunker.
Unless they crash a Zeppelin into you.

That ended our little hold-out fortress

Yeah that seems a bit glitchy

Though we managed to get back in our bunker before the italians did so it didn't change much

The Flood / Re: explicit content in TV programs irritates me
« on: October 22, 2016, 05:33:38 AM »
It's not something that would make me stop watching a tv show unless it was outweighing the actual content. But yeah I generally agree.

It particularly annoyed me in Game of Thrones, the first two or three seasons had that kind of stuff placed in for absolutely no reason. At least the more recent seasons have cut down on that massively.

Thankfully I usually watch stuff recorded, on dvd or through streaming so I just skip it.

I made a gun but I can't run it on my home computer
So you made it in a computer lab at school, I guess?

I did play around with it some time ago, but gave up, so unfortunately cannot help you much. I do have Unity 3d downloaded on my computer as well as autocad. The only person I know personally who actually was involved in quite a bit of 3d modelling and a little bit of game design was my younger brother, but he wont likely be any help for you.

Used to play around with Blender, that was beautiful piece of program that I came to love.
Any specific reason you gave up? I could possibly help you (although probably not that much, considering I'm a complete newbie).

I've tried blender before, but I'm learning 3DS Max now.

I tend to do 3D stuff and Graphics while I'm in college and my work at home. Teachers don't usually mind.

I don't have the space right now for a desktop PC so I have to make do with a shitty laptop that crashes when opening Word.

How many of you would buy the Nintendo Switch for the rumored price of $299/£249?

I wouldn't

But then I couldn't care less about Nintendo's stuff so I don't know why I'm even saying this.

Plus just copypasting a multiplayer map for the singleplayer is kind of disappointing.

What is your favorite game of all time?
New Vegas

I have over 700 hours on the game.
Are there any serious consequences for killing the weapons guys that want you to kill Cass? I can't remember their name, but it's next to a casino.
The Silver Rush? Well, they can be hard to kill of, especially for a lower level character, but the consequences aren't too severe from what I recall. The heaviest penalty is no longer being able to purchase weapons from them, and they sell the largest selection of energy weapons.

Alternatively, just cheese the fuck out of them by carrying their weapons to the bathroom and picking them up because nobody can see you steal them.
Wait seriously?

Yep. They can't detect you in the bathroom

Not sure how much anyone cares but this guy got a promotional copy and recorded a bunch of footage.
It looks exactly the same. There's just a little more color.

Yeah, they only upgraded the lighting, depth of field, shaders and adding the volumetric lighting. The textures are basically unchanged.

>skyrim remastered is on par with moderately to heavily modded pc skyrim

This dude is either being paid a lot to shill or is really dumb.

I think the latter. He says similar stuff in other videos - I think he's just a massive bethesda fanboy.

Looks like Nintendo finally pulled its head out of its ass and is finally giving a shit about third party support. I also kind of admire that Nintendo is trying to innovate in it's own way by merging handheld with console. The NVIDIA Shield may have been a fail, but I have utmost faith that Nintendo can make this work because handhelds are what they've done best for like the past decade or so. Nintendo has never once needed "ebin hardware" to make a great game.

Yeah but it's great that nintendo makes good games, but most developers won't develop for the platform if the hardware is bad.

All this third party stuff is great as long as it has the internals to support the standard of games that are being released. Otherwise you just get lazy ports or maybe some compatibility with old 7th gen titles.

Just picked up my copy. Hopefully there's no ridiculous Day1 update like Halo 5.

there hasn't been an update yet so i don't think there will be

be prepared for psy to doot his fucking whistle at every opportunity though cause following him into battle is like a following a human steam train

There's a 2.6gb day one patch but I'm not bothered about that. I'll at least be able to play it today unlike Halo 5 where I got in on the tuesday but couldn't actually play until wednesday because of the fucking 10gb update.

Just uninstalled MCC to make room. I couldn't let BF4 go.

tbh as long as they're enjoyable I'll keep watching them

I don't see how it's any different to watching a film about wizards and elves or spaceships and aliens

I've heard the campaign beyond the tank mission is kind of meh.

Spoiler
apparently the Gallipoli mission skips the beach landing for some fucking reason, the plane controls are crap and changed from multiplayer, the two ottoman missions are literally on the Sinai Desert map but one's at night and they're all really short.

Spoiler
Yeah, the plane missions were rather meh, and the controls felt...I dunno, simplified?  I haven't tried flying in multiplayer yet.

And they did kind of skip the landings itself and just have your ship already beached on the shore.  I questioned why we didn't have a full on landing, but I ended up not being bothered by it.

Apparently it's like the SWBF controls.

As for MP, haven't really played enough to give a proper opinion but I like it and it was fun playing even if a few things made me ree.

How much hard drive space you need on Xbox?
Think it was about 44gb so maybe 50gb total?

Bye bye BF4

Plus music files are a couple MB at most. Games are up to 40GB on average, and that's  almost a week of downloading because internet infrastructure where I live (rural area) is shit.

Swansea isn't that rural.

Basically anything to the South East of Carmarthen is space age tech compared to the rest of Wales.

... When have I ever said I live in Swansea?

I live in the middle of yorkshire. The really shit bit that gets crap internet.

We have some family friends who live in the middle of Snowdonia and barely get phone signal who have better internet infrastructure than where I live.

I know how you feel. To be honest, I have to be given a big responsibility of land in Mexico that my family owns. It's basically farmland and I need to do paperwork for it because it goes to the son, not the daughter, who is older than me. I don't want to sell it, but I feel like it'll be a huge burden on me because I don't want kids to keep the land going on, and my grandpa trusted us to use it for ourselves.

As for your situation, keep some things, give the other stuff to trusted family members who'd love to remember your dad when the time comes, selling it would just be, really sucky

Lease out the land to cartels and grow a drug empire with it
If only the cartels operated in the town the land is in

Exactly, fresh territory for them to sell drugs to.

You'll be a drug kingpin by year's end.
