my brother got the xbox game pass so i can finally try halo wars 2

do any of you play/played it? i thought the original one was alright (im prolly gonna play the definitive ed too) but im glad i can see whats up with the spirit of fire
The story amounts to "humans and brutes shoot each other on the ark for four hours" - nothing happens at all. Campaign itself is really mediocre as the mission design is incredibly railroad-ey so you don't start getting to do the strategy part of the strategy game until after the halfway mark. The Awakening the Nightmare DLC campaign improves a lot in the design but has a similar problem RE story where nothing happens.

Game itself is pretty fun. I got a lot of enjoyment out of the AI battles. Season pass is worth it as the DLC leaders are pretty fun to play as.

What game are you doing next? I'm looking forward to your New Vegas run if you still intend to do that at some point.
This.

Also I know you dont like to mod but please install the unofficial patch for it. Itll make the experience not infuriating at times.
You don't need the unofficial patch.

t. doesn't use it at all

there's no advice you could give to a 20-something that he hasn't already thought to himself at least once

people like to say teenagers think they know everything, but if you think about it, in a lot of ways, they really do

you get stupider with age starting at age 20
So what you're saying is that I'm at peak intelligence rn

Will people here really go back to MCC after it gets fixed?
It's too late that it will just make the game popular for like a week at most, then it''ll die down to what the population is like now. Unless the game is free when the update comes out, it won't save the game.
Even if nothing changes on that front, at least they're sorting out stuff like emblems displaying, the menu UI, letting you uninstall games (or game components) you don't want to play and stuff.
Last I heard about the emblem changes was they didn't work on player models and wouldn't be in. I'm not in the program so I don't know for sure if this is true
I heard somewhere that they had been fixed - it might just be in scoreboard but I could have sworn it was for the models too.

The only issue he had was that the music he did didn't "feel" like Halo,

I've always felt like this was the dumbest thing people could say, because what "feels" like Halo is arbitrary and impossible to determine. Beyond that, Halo 4 is a very different game narratively to the original 3, and it needed a new sound to establish that.

Davidge's score was incredibly inspired and set the tone perfectly for 343's vision. Keep in mind this was when 343 still had balls and aritistic integrity before trying to appease Original Trilogy faggots. I still maintain that Halo 4 has the best campaign of all Halo games in terms of overall artistic merit.

It was used pretty terribly in-game for sure, but I can't really levy that against him.
For me, the overuse of synths and electronic elements (despite those being some of my favourite songs) did it. Also, only like one song actually had the Halo theme in it.

It doesn't stop 4 from being one of my favourote OSTs but it feels very different to the Marty stuff or even Halo 5.

Neil Davidge is infinitely better, anyway.
The only issue he had was that the music he did didn't "feel" like Halo, and that the music itself was used pretty terribly in-game (which isn't the his fault, afaik). It was mixed pretty horribly in the game audio so that some of the tracks were almost impossible to hear and had a lot of really annoying repeated tracks in missions and gameplay experiences that weren't very well designed. To Galaxy is one of my favourite songs from the series, but it was pretty much ruined by being the Spartan Ops/ War Games menu music.

In a vaccuum, songs like This Armour, Swamp, Sacrifice and To Galaxy (Extended) are some of my favourites in the series' collective OSTs as a whole and IMO way better than 117 or Arrival - I think those two only ever get recognition because they're the only time the game ever really uses the music effectively. It's such a shame that the music was undermined by crap usage in-game.

I lost my Great Grandma last year, but it didn't really hit me as hard as I was expecting it to. She'd been really ill for over a year and she'd been a 20-a-day smoker for 80 years, so it was honestly amazing how long she kept going. I suppose I'd kind of prepared myself for it to happen.

I also lost my dog of 14 years last February, that took way longer to feel right again. I think a big part of it was getting a new puppy just over a month later, that did a lot to help get through it as it meant still having to do walks and whatnot.

The road north-west of Goodsprings, near the petrol station. The road up to Jacobstown will also have some as will the area around the north coast of Lake Mead.

Bungie is still a good company.
I would love to work for Bungie at some point. They consistently have a fantastic art department.

I don't think there's a developer who's even close to their level in that respect. Bungie's main problems are:

- poor writing
- poor management (time, production, etc.)

They can fix the writing fairly easily but until Destiny has run its course the management aspect will always be irreversibly damaged. The engine they're working with, the speedbumps they hit in the early parts of D1's development... these issues are still being experienced today.
Yeah. It's pretty ridiculous how they're still trying to get up to speed with ideas that failed to even make the cut of the first game. It honestly astonishes me (and perhaps says something about the studio as a whole) that Destiny's core gameplay and design (IE gun mechanics, enemy design etc) is as fun and engaging as it is, when it has no right to be.

is there an actual date yet for when we're supposed to leave?

and also aside from the government going along with it because they don't want to admit they were wrong and stupid is there any way to cancel/ stop the leaving process and stay in? or are they locked into the leaving decision now because they started the negotiations and stuff?

159 people on El Dewrito. Remember when it was suppose to save Halo?
Probably would have done if the DMCA stuff didn't happen. A lot of people were driven off by that and the impossibility of finding a fresh download means not many new people are joining.

It depends on what you define as killing off everything. If by that we mean to kill of every single person, animal or plant, we can just continuosly nuke same place over and over again until our nukes reach magnetic core of Earth and disrupt it, which cause magnetic field of Earth to dissapear and everything to die from radiation sooner or later, well almost everything. Some things will survive and adapt to new conditions. It`s however, a temporary solution, it probably be enough to put our planet down long enough until Sun explode or whatever happens to it.

Well, we might create a black hole, but it`s unreliable solution either, because no one knows how it works. I can only say that living or being in it, if it`s possible, will be different from your or any other human definition of word "living" or "being" so that accomplishes goal of destroying everything living.
