Anyway, do you have any particular recommendations, OP? I'm currently reading the Expanse novels but I'm nearly done with them.

For sci-fi? I've read a few good books lately:

The Three-Body Problem
Ancillary Justice
Solaris
Cloud Atlas

I'll have a look.

I'm still annoyed that I found a book that sounded really cool in WHSmiths (a high street book store here that devotes like, half a shelf to scifi and fantasy and half that shelf is game of thrones - I had a voucher) about an empire using relatavistic ships and interstellar sub-light speeds war, but it was the fifth in the series. The one time I see something cool and it's a sequel

I liked the Halo novels. Not the newer ones, but I loved the ODST drop on I04 and Covenant perspective on HCE/ Harvest.

I love it. Keep it up

We got 80 subs and 1k views in less than a day on our first video. We'll definitely be making more.

Who was the guy that said all playlists should be ranked and there should just be one playlist with grifball, infection, action sack and other "casual" gametypes

He needs to fuck off
Probably one of the so called "pros" that 343 hired to try to bring back the competitive Halo crowd that hasn't been there since Halo 3

Nah. The pro team seem like pretty cool guys, and if the employee leaks are to be believed, they get listened to about as much as anyone else and are basically just scapegoats for shitty design decisions.

i don't even like banana-flavored CANDY

if candy can't make it taste good, you know it's fucked
jacob i know your dumb ass better than i know a lot of my irl acquaintances and i have a vivid recollection of you explaining how you dont like any food that has too strong and intrusive a taste, as you have a very sensitive palette or some DUMB shit like that

bananas are LITERALLY the definition of mild and unobtrusive taste-wise, their texture when eaten at the right time is smooth and buttery, what is there to dislike. what turns you off from them. explain that to me, ishpeming.

I always associate bananas with vomit whenever I have them. I'm not sure if it's just the taste or the texture or something from when I was younger or what but they make me want to be sick.

I can't stand them.

Why don't you pay for a freind that doesn't have any money

Because he already owes me £10 from when we went to see guardians last week
Oh did he wanted to go or did you invite him?

He wants to go but he has to get the train over to my town or I have to get the train to him + cinema ticket, so it's annoying to do. We'd sort of forgotten that it was this week so we hadn't arranged to meet up and we usually do so like, a week in advance.

The only time in the past ten years I've gone to see something alone was when I went to see Kingsglaive and save for getting a free poster I would've rather waited for the BD that came with my copy of the game with all the fucking weeabs that were there ruining the experience.

that being said, I'm not against going to the movies alone but if there's a movie I'm dead set on seeing I usually find a friend I haven't hung out with in a while and invite them so we can catch up before/afterwards. I went to go see Your Name with a friend of mine who was super Normie but even she really liked the movie despite not liking anime.

Also WTF is releases next Thursday how are you seeing it a week early?!

I live in brexit land

We get films weeks before americans all the time

Kind of funny that I get to see Captain America two weeks before the Americans do

Alien Covenant releases tomorrow and I really want to go see it, but most of my friends aren't interested or are otherwise unable to go see it (no money, moved to other towns etc) So I'm thinking of going down after college tomorrow.

Does sep7agon go to the cinema by themselves often?

Nobody ever votes for Halo 4 cause it fucking sucks

You haven't played MCC for a while, I take it

Good luck getting anything good in the BTB playlist
My experience with the MCC is 75% Halo 3, 15% Halo 2, and 5% Halo CE.

In my 10 hours with the MCC, I haven't played a single Halo 4 related gametype in matchmaking and have yet to see a single person vote for a Halo 4 gametype.

wtf its like all i get
I'm so sorry

F

Edit: I goofed my percentages.

Eh

Halo 4 is at least a passable shooter. I'd rather play it than 5.
That sounds like Halo Archive talk.

You're not an Archiver, are you?

No

If I was, I'd be saying that if you don't like req packs just don't buy them

I'm buying them RIGHT NOW

That's like saying you'd rather have HIV than cancer

Halo 4 is kind of fun if you remove loadouts and ordnance.

Halo 5 is just shit, even just the base gunplay feels off from literally every other shooter out there.

"Press LB to Time Travel" in Titanfall 2.

I wasn't really expecting anything above your bog standard call of duty campaign from the guys who had made five of those games. But that one popup instantly turned a fun but unremarkable campaign to a great one.

And now I get a scifi world like so;

After the fairly brown-grey affair that was the first game, a lot of stuff in the second really came out of left field.

Where's the lore stuff about the robot takover from?

Spyglass and his army of Stalkers, Spectres, Reapers and MRVNs

Wait, did he go berserk or something?
