- Titan Brawl to return as next featured playlist

Please put this in the standard playlist

They're rotating stuff like M4D and Titan Brawl regularly so that they don't split the already small population. Plus it keeps the game modes fresh - I'll usually hop on for a few games of Nitro, Brawl or Marked but I always go back to Attrition after a while. Rotating them means that the playlists won't run out of people.

Plus, I found that Brawl was fun but a meta quickly established - Ion, Ronin and Tone were objectively the best Titans. Legions get shut down by Ions, Scorch is too situational and relies on enemies wanting to preserve their one life for area control and Northstar just isn't effective to the same degree she is in LTS. Plus, the map design doesn't really cater to it too well.

Just Titans and just Pilots gets kind of boring. Titanfall is at its best when both are in the mix.

Monarch Reigns Update - May 30th

New Titan - Monarch

Quote
Monarch’s design is based on the salvaged, badly burnt remains of two Vanguard-class Titans recovered by the IMC from the Battle of Typhon. While the Vanguard-class was designed by the Militia for armed recon deep behind enemy lines, the IMC’s mandate for Monarch focused on flexibility through survival and support options, to serve many operational roles.

Although Vinson Dynamics was unable to reverse-engineer and replicate key aspects of the original Vanguard design, they brought their own R&D innovations when creating Monarch. One of these innovations is her Upgrade Core, which allows her to improve her combat abilities during a battle, based on options set by her Pilot. Monarch also has an impressive ability to draw power from enemy Titans to recharge her own shields, or the shields of her friendly Titans. Despite the IMC and Vinson Dynamics’ efforts to maintain secrecy, several shipments of early Monarch production variants invariably leaked onto the black market, allowing mercenary Pilots and independent manufacturers across the Frontier to discover her true potential.

New Prime Titans - Ronin and Tone

New/ Returning Map - Relic

Quote
et among the old wreck of the IMC carrier IMS Odyssey, Relic is a worksite where Pilots have created clever wall running routes by hanging pieces of the wreckage between buildings. The map consists of the wreck of the Odyssey in the center of the map that splits the two town areas.

Created with frontlines in mind, the gameplay is all about assaulting and controlling the center and engaging in firefights from the great viewpoints of the ship against the varied defensible positions in the Town.

Map Update - Crash Site

- Passover of collision has resulted in over 100 collision issues being sorted out and smoothed out
- 8 zipwires and new wallrun locations added to help with going F A S T

New Execution - Now You See Me

This execution uses Cloak, in keeping with tactical-themed executions we've had for Phase Shift, Stim, Grapple and Pulse Blade. Details unknown, we'll have to wait for the trailer to see it in action.

Other Stuff

- CTF Nitro current featured playlist (Instant flag caps, no Titans, no Boosts)
- Titan Brawl to return as next featured playlist
- Featured Playlist will start being used to test new balance changes before they're rolled out to the game as a whole

Trailer drops on the 25th, update next tuesday

The Future - Stuff to Come

- New/ Returning Map - War Games
- New// Returning Game Mode - Frontier Defence 2.0

i don't think i've ever actually used a headset for gaming

Surround sound is nice in shooters and my TV's speakers are fucked.

Plus, it's nice to have when you want to watch tv and not keep other people awake, or if you want to talk while playing.

Tell the mods to lock so that nothing starts ITT

The Deci Cycle must continue. There is no other option except for;

Enlightened Deci

Deco becomes enlightened with the knowledge of all that is good in the world.

Savage Deci

Deci snaps and goes on a rampage, rendering the Earth to post-apocalyptic ruin.

Vortex Deci

Deci disappears into the time vortex, travelling to lands and places unknown.

and Twilight Deci

Deci becomes the subject of an episode of the Twilight Zone, forever to be mocked. This is basically the refuse ending.

Seriously, if you want good quality then don't buy a gaming headset.

I just want something to play games with. I'm not bothered about having a million different features. I'm not using it for professional audio production or anything.

Also, what are the things you mentioned before?
Stay away from Turtle Beaches and Tritton. Go for Astro if you want something high-quality. I have the A50's but I'd suggest the A40's if you don't mind the wires. I tend to play far away from my TV so the wireless is nice, but the battery isn't quite as long as I'd like so it ends up having to be wired anyway.

Another good thing about Astro is that they have an excellent customer service program, with lots of helpful threads on their forums.

As I said above, I'm only looking for a basic headset with decent enough quality - thanks for the recommendation though.

what is your budget

if you could have both higher audio quality and a mic why not

At most, £40

I don't have much money right now

When I said cheap I meant cheap

I'll get my student finance in september so I'll have more money then, I just need something to put me on over the summer
superglue your current ones

that's pretty much my current plan
I mean, if your budget is that low that they'd have to be 40 quid, then there's probably better things to spend your money on, no?

basically yeah

I have driving lessons and tests coming up and I'm trying to save money for when I go to uni this september.

These things breaking was really ill-timed

I sent this to Chally in a PM and he sent it to Fedorekd, and now I'm Walter from Breaking Bad.

I have to admit this was edited well. I like it.
wow for once you react normally holy shit

Because this was edited well, hence it was funny. If it was just the raw clip itself I would have been left confused. If the editing was done poorly I would have given Fedorekd shit again on his editing. At least he's improving on that, because his Halo machinmias were really poor quality.

I enjoyed prometheus and I feel that it gets a bit more hate than it deserves. It's certainly not the worst alien film, though it's far from the best.

I fucking loved Covenant. Fassbender is so fucking good.

In no particular order

Aliens

Basically the founding father for the milscifi genre (Maybe second to Starship Troopers) and responsible for many of the tropes used today.

Fury Road

Cool effects and designs.

Winter Soldier

A spy film that just happens to have a hero in it. I love the fight choreography in it too.

Avatar

The ISV Venture Star is the most beautiful scifi ship I've ever seen put to hollywood screen and the designs for the aircraft, weapons, infantry and fucking mechs are the closest I'm going to get to a Titanfall film in the forseeable future. 10/10 art direction. If the second one only doubles down on pandoran life I'm going to be super disappointed.

I guess I'd put honorable mentions for Alien,  Star Wars ROTS, Interstellar, Cap America Civil War, Dark Knight, the Martian and Hot Fuzz. Maybe also The Thing, District 9 and Terminator 2. All of those ones I really like but either have a couple of crucial flaws that don't make my top list or I just haven't seen in a long while so am largely basing my rating off what I remember from years ago.

Of course, I'm also more than willing to forgive weaker stories and artsy cinema stuff for a well constructed space battle or some good old fashioned xeno purging just as the god-emperor and nature intended it.

I currently have Starship Troopers, The Thing, Terminator 1 and 2, 2001 and Event Horizon in my watchlist so maybe I'll get round to them some day.

Look at aome of Astro's more affordable options. You'll get all the other benefits I listed.

Although if you're on Xbox maybe look into something first party. My A50's still need the one wire to plug into my controller but if MS came out with something you could probably avoid that.

I have the stereo adapter, as I was using a 360 headset with my one.

I'll have a look at the brand though. Thanks.

Here's the We Are ODST song in full.
YouTube

How did they get permission to use it for this movie?

It's a welsh song. I don't think it was specifically comissioned for the trailer.

Edit - wikipedia says the song used in we are odst was a version of an existing song comissioned for the trailer.

So the turtlebeach x12's I've been using for 5+ years broke. I stepped on them by accident a couple years back and it created a little crack on the side. I tried picking them up today by that speaker and they fell apart and are currently held together by the wire. They still work but aren't much good for their surround sound function anymore.

So yeah. Headset recommendations. Preferably on the cheap, I just want basic surround sound functionality and decent quality for playing games - nothing too fancy. I'm considering getting the same thing again as it served me well for a long time, and only broke because of me accidentally stepping on them.

Oh here's a picture
