Rookie > all
Wonder what happened to the Rookie and his squad.

I get the impression that they were brought into the SPARTAN-IV program.

The Rookie already stomped everyone ever (except Thom). If he got any more badass, John would get reduced to irrelevance.

No. What we really need is a FUCKING IMPERIAL COMMANDO BOOK 2.

Or a Death Troopers film.

"I just don't care. Go away."

Apparently the person who I was saying that to was hyper sensitive and ran off crying.

Eh. Not my problem, she was annoying me.

Linda > John

Did the MC die once? Nup
He also didn't shoot a banshee down one handed, with a sniper, whilst tethered upside down on a rope.

Through the tiny gap between the canopy and engines.

Ugh. I hate how they seem to think whether you're an interesting person will affect of you do well. Why does it matter? You're paying to do it, surely only the grades matter.

I'm
Not looking forward to beginning Y13...
Year 13 is okay. Twice as much work (granted I am still doing 4 A-Levels) but I find the topics in my subjects to be more interesting, at least. Once you're done applying to UCAS you don't have to worry about it anymore, just let the offers come in.

Well I do my astrophysics module in A2 physics and my computing coursework next year, so that's cool.

But I'm boring. I had to do a CV and support letter as a task in this thing at school and my CV was half a page long. Most of it was the contact details. I have nothing to put on stud like that because I don't really do stuff.
I don't do stuff either. I just sit around playing video games. However, try getting some work experience whenever your college tells you to do it. I did a week at IBM and I think that was one of the things that really sold my application.

I do sixth form, and I don't think they do that stuff.
Search and apply for computer related work independently. Even if you get a week as an assistant or doing something silly you'll still be able to say you worked for a business related to your course which will look good on your PS.

Where I live is rural. Nothing like that nearby. As much as I love not being in a city, it sucks that nothing relevant to me is around here.

I'm at sixth form too. Our sixth form gives us the final week of term off for work experience, however if yours doesn't do anything like that then perhaps try to do some in the summer.

Yeah. There's not really much where I live which sucks, especially as I would prefer nothing to working in a cafe or a resteraunt. When I turn 18, I'm going to look at GAME but that's still a year and a half yet.

Tbh I've spent at most 4 hours on it all together, if you're genuinely interested in the subject you're choosing it shouldn't be too bad.

Hopefully doing some type of computer games related thing, or something to do with code in general.

The Flood / Re: The story of you losing your virginity?
« on: November 05, 2014, 03:06:31 PM »
A story that will hopefully never happen.

Why not? Sex can be a truly amazing experience, if it's with someone you love or care about. Sex in drunken stupor though, I don't think that would be too enjoyable.

I just don't want to. Too many potential negative consequences and I prefer not to be around other people.

Well, I can't blame you. Some people see sex as a trophy.

Well. If it happens then it happens, however, I'm not actively going to look for it.

Yeah. I wish Bungie would've kept this characterisation instead of taking the lazy route and saying "it's so the player can feel like they are chief" which everyone knows is a bullshit excuse for bad and lazy writing. So glad 343 is going away from this. I mean, if they'd had made te protagonist have complete customisation (Noble 6) then it would have been excusable, but he has a voice in cutscenes, so you're only supposed to pretend to be the character when it's convenient for them.

Though when you get to the flood, you'll wonder what chief was thinking when facing the Gravemind and delving into High charity in H2/3.
He was probably saying in his head, "I can't believe I'm doing this shit again."

He was terrified of the flood- it was the one thing that actually scared him, after he was extremely close to being infected on the Autumn

Gaming / Do you actually give meds, ammo and repairs on Battlefield?
« on: November 05, 2014, 08:44:48 AM »
Because I swear it seems like I'm te only person who actually gives supplies and stuff to team mates when it's requested or even just because they have that little flashing symbol above their head.

Tell me, am I the only person who finds this extremely frustrating when you're out of bullets and the dickbag in your squad won't put down supplies despite the fact you're spamming "Request ammo" into the commorose?

Gaming / Re: I've been watching my brother play Halo: Reach.
« on: November 05, 2014, 08:41:32 AM »
Sounds as annoying as a conversation I was having with a friend while playing battlefield. I noticed a guy spamming 'Request ammo' in the commorose (I was medic, he was ammo guy) and I told him a guy wanted ammo.
"So?"
He then followed up that he didn't need to help out his team mates by providing ammunition because "no one else does it" and eventually muted me and left the game/ party because he didn't want to play as a team.

Just as frustrating.
