The Flood / Re: Who Were You One Year Ago?
« on: March 07, 2016, 10:09:35 PM »
One year ago I began fighting one of the greatest battles of my life.

In the wake of its resolution, I have found little solace, not for long anyway.
Is there something else coming up?
The fire rises.
The wind tends to do that around here at this time of year
That movie is sad ;-;7
It wasn't a movie I expected to be sad, honestly. It was even more jarring because of that.
I knew exactly what I was getting into here, but it was still soul-destroying

I don't think anyone here besides Jim actually watches this show.
You two have much to talk about.

I'm kinda sad I missed out on all these classic Nintendo games.
Not too late to try them out.
Yeah but it's not the same as playing them when you're a little kid.
When I played Ocarina of Time (at 17) I found myself having a weird sense of nostalgia for the experience, despite never having played it.
There are also qualities about those old games that can remind you of being a kid again.

Gaming / Re: Fable Legends cancelled, Lionhead shutting down

I think some small part of me wanted to see Lionhead Studios do something amazing with the Fable series. This is kind of disappointing.

Faygo > Fanta
Are you an immortal clown with anger issues?
I don't get this reference

but Faygo Red Pop is great
I've never actually tried faygo, and thanks to Homestuck, I probably never will.
That's also where the reference is from.

I remember being much more liable to give up when things were really starting to get challenging.
Things are still challenging, but the way I deal with them is much different. I'm a much more resilient person overall.

Well, what about you?

I think I'm starting to be more fluid between orientation, but I'm predominantly straight... for now.

He's definitely joining the cartel guys.

I steal food from the dollar menu and sell it back for half the price.
Seriously though... now you're reminding me of how I have to secure financial assets >.>

I hate that my subconscious mind in my dreams remembers more things than I do when I'm awake.
Have you ever had a conversation with it?
Mine's much more intelligent than I am... and that's great... but also terrifying.
What do you mean? You kinda have to talk to yourself in a dream, that's how it works as far as I know.
Well I mean it appears as someone else, but is really a reflection of myself. That's why it interests me. Because it's more intelligent than me, but also indicative of me it suggests that I might be able to do similar neurological functions. It's kind of as Sol describes, especially when my brain is doing the task of generating a world-space, emulating waking senses, and/or having characters intelligently interacting with me.
Specifically, hypnagogic states can keep you on the edge between wakefulness and sleep. Have you ever been unable to sleep and just laying there for a while and out of nowhere a very vivid image appears? Maybe a scene?

When I wake up but am too tired to really get up, I can think a lot more clearly than when I'm fully awake.
Why is this?

I had a test today which I think went well (I hope so because I want to keep my 100% in that class).
I planned a paper I have to write this weekend, so I probably have an hour of writing and 20 minutes of editing ahead of me from today to Monday at 1 pm. Not bad at all really.

Aside from that I've been a lazy shit all day. I have like two books to read this weekend too.

He liked a post in Turkey's thread.

I'm sure it will be 5 degrees Fahrenheit by January again, and schools won't close because it's not below 0.
