You could pursue an art project!

I'm not so sure I'm going to feel up to it at first. . .
Maybe hatch an idea, create a vision for what you feel most inclined towards then. When you feel able-bodied for the task, go for it?

I'm planning on playing old classics I never got around to in childhood, planning for the coming year, hiking and meditating, associating with a group known as the Interim, and writing.

You could pursue an art project!

All the trolls I'm familiar with are pretty enjoyable

Except Gamzee

I can't really describe it with words, so I'll use words to make a picture.
It's like a shimmer from some unknown source undulating against dark grotto walls.

I like Kupo, he almost reminds me of Fai from Tsubasa:Reservoir Chronicle
I only heard about Shaman King, never read it. The dream cliche is overdone to the point of me criticizing stories for its usage as a convenient plot point (usually just resolving everything and rendering climaxes flat).

She's the Witch of Space

Dunno the hate but the internet has always had alot of anime lovers on it. Though i believe i am more of lover of good story telling which is why i consider most anime shit and a couple good and those are the one's i read/watch.
The volume of anime telling good stories or just retaining solidity in presentation and message number more than a few.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, if that counts. how do you figure out what falls under that classification? i feel like Hunter x Hunter would because of its powerful themes

also i definitely need to watch FLCL again. watched it like 4 years ago and i don't remember anything besides liking it lol
Well, it was more than a little confusing. I watched it two years ago and I can't remember most of the characters names, let alone the events happening
it's supposed to be kinda confusing, since it's about puberty. it's hectic and beautiful and poetic
I wonder how different age groups perceive it. Are the younger fans more understanding because they're going through it at the time, or is it more confusing because they're not familiar with the concepts it tackles. Can older people reflect more strongly from more experience, or is the medium used too foreign from their experiences to convey information as readily.
Moreover, can anyone get what the hell happens in the show, or is it ambiguous like the End of Evangelion with more nebulous nuances to emphasize the confusion factor?

i would guess younger kids would identify with the setting and hectic style. the whole living at home thing, relationship issues, new people coming into your life, not really being in control of the things that are happening around you. older people are probably more receptive to the overall themes and more appreciative of the aesthetic decisions.

this is why i love it so much. it's so nuanced and so incredibly poetic, there are so many different ways and reasons people might enjoy it.
Paranoia Agent comes to mind in this category, both seinen and ambiguous titles. Then again, I had pneumonia and couldn't process anything, so I may have missed a lot of detail from being sick.
On a side note, watching Fullmetal Alchemist when you're sick is strangely satisfying... More than you'd expect.

Also, if Darker Than Black counts I'd include it in that list.
And Steins; Gate.

By persona I mean a character or expressed self characteristic embodied in a posting style. What do you hope to accomplish by operating this persona online?
Would you be as brave to identify who your persona is?

jade or something
Oh wow, I didn't expect anyone to get my posting scheme for a while. Yeah, that's Jade as my profile pic. I think it's a good piece, personally
Do you read Homestuck?

yeah

the whole thing, like twice
Jegus, twice?!
I'm not through my first reading... Although it's not complete yet either. I'm on Act VI, near the very beginning

i'm waiting for the end

it will be weird when it's over
Knowing Hussie even as much as I do currently the ending's going to be surprising in ways the fandom will probably love and hate simultaneously. Is Act VI close to ending?

Are economic constraints a primary concern?[/color]
I just want to be able to make a living. In the end, happiness takes priority.
Having this sort of work would make you happy as well though, right?
Do you think it's feasible to do?

Feasible with a fuckload of work. You have to be skilled and unique to get some serious recognition in the art world nowadays. Even then, you still have to work on getting your art out there where people will notice it faster.
Yeah. with writing I have no idea how I'd proliferate my stuff so it could be noticed, assuming it was quality enough to be noticed :\
I'd be willing to do the work for it more readily it if I knew the way to get there.

I'm asking because I'm curious about how people view possibility in economic systems... for themselves, not for the general populace.

Some sort of artist.
What catches your fancy?
tbh I'd love to be a sponsored artist for Ironlak and paint murals and burners.
Making videos like this:

Or an illustrator for graphic novels.

Hell I'd even just love to sell prints and canvases of all the wacky shit I end up doodling.

why don't you guys ever dream about useful things
I'll assume you're referencing everyone, and I said in the OP that job wasn't necessarily defined by normative standards, I just didn't have a catchier title.
My research isn't for money, it's for infinite possibility, and my writing would be for self expression for my life's anguish. If not useful to anyone else, these things are extremely useful to me.
And to an extent, I agree with you, why don't people seek ways of accomplishing greater goals outside of normative systems? I think it's because we don't really know how to do it.

3868
I'm still fairly new. Still kinda alienated. Haven't really been let into the circlejerk yet. But I don't think I've made any enemies, so, things could be worse
I know this feeling. And apart from people who've decided to resent me for reasons I can't really discern, I haven't made enemies. Especially not on this account.

3869
Today steam blew over, I think.

The way I'm defining job here is by the work you do or way you want to live, but it doesn't have to be for profit.

My dream job is to conduct my own research in Gerontology and write novels on the side.
This all being by self employment.
