People can get really hurt in snowball fights. They can turn ugly pretty quickly - using rocks, ice, etc, can really injure someone especially if they catch it in the face or head.
Anyone who modifies snowballs like that are assholes, though. I don't snowball fight with assholes.

Am I missing something? It looks like a Dark Souls reskin to me.

Someone explain the big deal
First off it looks closer to the original game if you ask me.

The big deal is it looks like it's keeping what has been good about the past souls games, but improving them a lot. The combat looks fast and fluid, the enemies and bosses look like they have good AI and some interesting mechanics. On top of that the director is the same as Demon's and Dark souls 1, who has proven that he's really good at making this stuff.

The art style is also pretty cool.
The setting of Bloodborne is based off of the Tower of Latria from Demon's Souls, that's probably why you recognize it as more Demon's Souls.
I didn't know the director was Demon's Souls' but it makes a lot of sense.

tfw gravelord nito is a good guy

and you murdered him
And Sif :"(

When the hell is killing a dog a good thing?
it's not. You kill him to rob the grave of his best friend . It's awful

Why would you do that?!

Kick ass weapons.
And a ring so you won't be swallowed by darkness.

Is it really worth it, though?
Artorias' weapons are essentially their own build through stat requirements. Not unless you've planned it out somewhat and have something to tide you over.
But the ring is necessary to beat the game.
It's a fight you ave to do if you plan on defeating Gwyn. And I think it's one of the better moments of the game. You see the effect you have as a player on an already dismal world and you start questioning.

Shit's dark, yo.

I remember that sword being a pretty lame weapon, though. Dark Souls is weird in that a lot of the earlier weapons you get in the game are the best, and a lot of the weapons you think would be OP (like dragon or boss weapons) are complete and utter shit.
If you have the right stats for the weapons I think they're viable.
But you can get most of the best weapons I know of from the beginning. It also makes sense with the design choice for the upgrade system, From wanted players to stick with a weapon and master it over the course of the game, and putting out good weapons early would incite players to keep them.

Like the Black Knight weapons, for instance.

I'm not set on having children because of societal factors that contribute to personal suffering, and I wouldn't do it to someone else. Do I agree with anti-natalism?
I have a niece and while I don't like imagining her not being here I'm aware that her upbringing will most likely influence her ambitions. From my experience I think that life isn't worth it unless I'm useful to myself, and the way ambition is framed within societal goals just doesn't appeal to me. It won't make myself worth existing. I try not to judge other people by my life views, but I'd certainly apply that sort of thinking to progeny.
Even if the conditions weren't met I'd only adopt at best. There's enough children in the world as is, and I'm stubborn enough to shun "biological imperatives."

A lot of the dark souls lore in general hits me in the feels

It's the only game that made be feel conflicted or sad about killing bosses
I remember fighting Sif  during my first playthrough.
It seemed like he had everything, agility, damage, health, and for a a few hours I couldn't best him. But I had a kind of fascination with him, whose grave was he guarding, and why? There was something noble about the entire experience, and despite dying curiosity drove me forward.
Eventually I mastered dodging his attacks just from experimenting and observing. Then he started limping. This mighty beast that kicked my ass for hours reduced to its death throes fought on regardless. He reminded me about myself as a player. Why was I there? To get an awesome sword. In the context of the game, however, Sif guarded the last morbid memento of his best friend, and now this noble guardian was lain low by some sunburned douchebag. I felt guilty about the fight, justifying my actions as a player because I needed to progress through the game and survive.  Sif taught me something about what it takes to win and some of what you lose to get there.
He's the reason I'm under the impression Dark Souls is a good game, it's larger than itself.

Tl;dr:
Sif taught me something about videogaming and probably life.

I killed sif on my first try.
Or that happens...
But was it still a cool boss battle, do you think?
If it wasn't, was there another which was cool?

But I'd try to bring in two incomes
Why?
Splitting economic burden can factor in longer marriages.

I'm a proponent of individual choice, so I agree with the concept.

In my head the marriage last until we both die. I still believe that when you marry, that's it. Unless someone dies, you're with them until that point. My significant other would have to understand and agree to that.

It's a personal choice in that regard.

"Til death do us part" implies when one of the two dies. But hey, I could easily see someone never marrying again after losing the love of their life.

I've been told I have antiquated notions of romance before because I believe in "the one" (or, "the few"). So I would only really marry someone if I thought they were one of "the few", and if they died I don't think I would be able to survive, let alone find another "one".

Anyways, we're getting off topic and I'm getting sad about things that haven't even happened.
I also believe that there's few people whom I could have successful romantic relations with. But I'm also content if that person doesn't exist, because to a certain extent that sentiment is characterized in mind.
If I actually met someone like that I don't think I'd marry them, and certainly not have children.
I'm someone who doesn't take marriage very seriously despite it retaining relevancy.

Sorry to derail more.
Blame my rampant weebism.

I'm sorry, you confused me. You're saying that if you met someone who could be "the one", you wouldn't be with them?

[While I do enjoy the deralied conversation topic, but it's not relevant to the OP. I'm sure we're bound to get some more romance-themed threads as we near VDay.]
If I met this dream person I'd be happy having a relationship with them, but if they don't actually exist I'm okay with being solitary.
I think I'll be making a few of those threads soon enough.

Anyway, I'll ask something relevant to the topic.

Do gender roles in marriage retain importance?

Smaug is the reason that movie was great.
I wish he wasn't evil though, he could have been a cool dragon to converse with
I'm surprised more people don't portray dragons as allies and philosophers. That's something I've always found interesting about them as an apex predator. How does that change their perspective?
If anything, why not have Dragons on both sides?
I agree with that notion so much that it's part of the story I'm writing... Involving dragons.
They're usually attached to moral binary structures and depicted as evil antagonists. It just doesn't allow for a lot of complexity. I want to write dragons as individuals and delineate the context of their associations designating social labels.

This is my latest project in my scifi stuff. I'm naming every ship in the human fleet.

But here's the catch, it's took 4 hours to do this, and Sol alone has 20 dedicated defence fleets- I've done 4 and I'm struggling. Primus, the nearest world, has 7 fleets, Secundus and Tertius (Both same star system) have 15, and the rest have between 1 and five. This doesn't count Exodus itslef, which has a dedicated fleet of 1,000 at all times.

Am I going insane? Am I in way over my head? At least for the second one; fuck no. This is fun.

What it sounds like is you have a lot of drive, single-mindedness of purpose with this even.
That's good, especially if you're considering developing this into your own universe.
