It's too bad I couldn't make a snarky comment before people started the 'Attack on Shit' parade. *Sai* Well, I suppose I'll settle for something less confrontational. Annie is bae, yes?

Rocketman, Verbatim, Epsira.
I'm not sure how this is going to go down, but I know it won't be pretty.
Can I get in a good fondle with both of you for good measure? I'm pretty much free all week.

Only a single slice of pizza?
What a cheapskate
Right? I at least have the common courtesy to feed mine risotto. It seems like some people WANT to have pizza grease on their waifus... Wait a minute, that could be a good fetish idea.
And very nice profile pic.

I'm something like this. Not in scope or awesomeness, but just in the atmosphere.

fuck everything about weebs and their pedophile culture
You're leaving out all the other freaky things we get off to, though. That's the real injustice here.

This almost reminds me of a sitcom, "Dr. Freud, and Friends," on Fox.
Terrible choice in webcomics.
Closet sisterfucker detected.
Well, guilty of one. But which?

it's this website obsessed with facial aesthetics. They treat anything less than the golden ratio as subhuman and pretty much have the aspects of attractiveness down to a science. they tear down average looking dudes for any flaw in their facial structure and probably have caused many suicides
they idolize models like nick bateman and david gandy.
elliot rodger the teen who shot up uc santa barbara used to hang out there strong wtf

Let's steal their credit card information to cheer us up ^_^

Until someone starts using mathematically structured arguments and understands political, social, economic, etc. as they exist and not how they're perceived by individual bias, Metacognition shall remain the Once and Future King.
But that's just my perspective ^_^

It will never happen. Grow up.
Learn what a joke is you goddamn baby. Are you even capable of detecting sarcasm?
Careful, Cheat might ban you for two days for not being nice to his autistic buddy.
There's a memes discussion thread floating around. Just saying.

A shitpost should be instantly recognizable. There are no shades of grey in that regard.
No one is willing to look this problem in the eye. The only reason we allow this to happen is because the shitposters are so vocal and so many that to ban them would significantly effect our forum traffic.
What I'm about to suggest may be madness, but what if we retook the B.net?
I really like this site though, and the admins have done so much work for it... There's a bit of sentimental attachment. How would one convince people to leave? What is B.net even like now?
Thing is that it's not attracting any new members. About 70% of Sep7agon's current active community joined in the first 6 days. So that means that only 30% of the community joined over a period of about 7 months.
Not to worry, we'll start advertising on 4Chan. It'll work out fine.

I was in hospital for 2 weeks over my HSC (higher school certificate). I didn't do anything. My whole experience was pretty much as follows: Got sick, went to hospital really sick, fever of 42 degrees celsius (107.6F), body couldn't function, wore an adult diaper incase I pissed myself, injected with ceftriaxone to help my fever, had an allergic reaction to it, passed out, apparently almost went into cardiac arrest, woke up 2 days later in a different hospital, wanted to talk to my boyfriend at the time, found out he was busy getting drunk at a party, slept for the rest of the day, spoke to him the day after, that was when he dumped me (for no reason), spent the rest of the 2 weeks not only sick and unable to move but connected to a drip 24/7 as I couldn't eat or drink but extremely depressed.
What kind of asshole dumps his girlfriend of 2 years just after she almost died and while she's STILL in hospital. And no, he didn't visit me at all, not even to dump me. Dumped me over Facebook by changing his status and THEN messaging me. :\
Let's set one of his pets on fire.
His bird died shortly after and he came crying to me. He has no pets now.
Bonus photo of my hospital visit. I spent the last 2 days sitting in the sun in the garden because the drip made me so cold I thought I was going to freeze.
It's a good thing you didn't. What does an IV drip feel like? We could skip right to his parents. I usually like build-up to finales, but sometimes the loud and spontaneous results are most satisfying immediately.

At this moment in time, I like the look of the front page.
There are 3 or 4 things worth discussing.
I know we're all tired, but if the Flood is to endure we have to be louder than the shitposters.
What qualifies as a shitpost? Not everyone agrees on the definition, and I think this is a fundamental issue. Putting it into consistent practice is even harder, especially when there's forum disparity around what having fun on a forum is or how responsible you should be with content. If we want to see a greater longevity, rules would have to be structured in a way that curbs unsustainable habits and codifies them explicitly and clearly on the rule page.

Sep7agon slowly withers and died due to a lack of activity. It's hard enough now to find an interesting thread to post in. Even though the quality on bungie is shit, they do have quantity. I'd rather take a site that has like 10 C grade threads an hour than a site that has like 2 A grade threads an hour. And that's giving you guys too much credit. Your threads are usually shit too. Lol
2 A grades an hour?
Fuck no, this site generates more like one or 2 C grade thread per day. And maybe a handful of Bs in its history.
Most of the threads here suck balls.
I think Raw was using an example there. Threads here could have more discussion value or bamfity, but there are also content creators who make things that everyone just glosses over. Maybe we do need more posters.
Or at least fewer shitposters. Most of the threads in Sep7agon are shitposts.
Weren't there some fairly recent amendments to shitposting peramaters? I recall a big discussion about it.

Oh my, the future seems bleak. What do A grade threads look like, in your opinion?
i don't think those threads exist. Only a forum god could make one and I've never had the pleasure of meeting one. I hear the flood of the old days had good threads though.
I'm always reluctant to rely on the judgement of others when nostalgia becomes a factor. That being said, I'd like to see some of the B.old threads and see what was God Tier back in the day. Wait, did you read the Cheerios story on B.next? Wasn't that at least upper B grade (I consider it A grade)?

Interesting. What percent would you expect for long-lived offsite groups? Member retention is something important to consider additionally, I think.
I dunno. I'm just bored and I'm digging out numbers. I haven't done this for any other sites. But March's growth rate has been a great deal less than January's growth rate. Lemme do that calculation and put it in OP.
Higher forum activity in January may be due to student breaks (I'm not sure when everyone has them, but I know I was on break for the beginning of January and posted more here). Now, depending on schedules, people might be preparing for finals or going outside more often. A few variables come to mind that might have significant impact on forum activity.
Something interesting that I noticed is that the growth rate bottomed out in February, and there seems to e some recovery of the growth rate here. Though April's growth rate is still only 11% of the growth rate when the forum started. So that means the growth percentage was really pitiful in February.
If classes for American users started in January, the first midterms would come early to mid February (perhaps). I wonder how many days it would take of low growth to really affect the monthly trend. And... We might be thinking about this too much. In terms of forum activity I hope it wasn't that low.
