The Flood / Re: What's with all these? "Which User" posts?« on: August 09, 2015, 11:49:54 PM »
The problem with making conversational threads on the Flood is that most people don't usually invest much effort in them.
The same things that spark conversation can be likened to advertising gambits. Right now that gambit is ego stroking. 1413

In any sense you can think of.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Zonda and I are pretty similar in some way (but I haven't figured out how quite yet). I'm pretty similar to that FunTimer guy... >.> And it seems like SecondClass and Oss can agree on immorality in similar senses to me. 1420

The Flood / Re: Do You Ever Look Back Through Your Old Posts And...« on: August 09, 2015, 12:23:24 AM »Basically this. I'm not as friendly anymore, and I have a tendency to take pot shots at people when I would've never done that before. I took the effort and time to try and talk to and help people who seemed to be going through rough times, just as others did for me. I don't do that anymore. It's not so much to be antagonistic as it's more for just cheap laughs.I've also noticed that about myself, but that's also in response to personal developments offline too >.> 1422

The Flood / Re: can someone explain to me what "meme rap" is« on: August 08, 2015, 09:18:53 PM »
For myself, it's about the contrast between enjoyable and lamentable aspects of some media that rely heavily on reference.
For example, I like things like this ironically YouTube because it makes satirical comment on anime tropes; I think it's humorous that way. Not to mention the character I identify with most in this show religiously worships this idol, which is both hilarious and tragic. People who don't get the reference don't really understand it because they don't have investment in the joke. It's like if a critic watched Birdemic without knowing it was intentionally awful, they'd wonder why people even bothered watching the movie. 1427

Consider how much you've changed your posting habits over time?
I notice my earliest forum days filled with more thoughtful posts, and over time I've lowered the bar enough for a limbo player to have difficulty keeping their legs intact. I also used lime green font and I'm not happy about that. Actually, when I started using orange text was when I started lowering my standards and not being as polite. Puts things in perspective... Is there anything that strikes you about the "new you?" Is there anything you want to change? 1428

I could be more specific and say I wouldn't leave a note because it would be pointless or it would probably convey any message of mine better than a note would. I could also say that if I ever write my book idea it could potentially be one long suicide note, but who gives a shit about that?. 1430
The Flood / Re: Have you ever shoplifted?« on: August 08, 2015, 07:31:27 PM »
I can't remember. There was one time when I accidentally took a ball home from a toy shop as a kid and felt guilty about it until I begged my stepmom to bring me back so I could return it.
Now if I really need something but don't have or want to spend money, I'll do it. There's just like no situations where that applies though. 1431
