How fun would it be having a Sep7 D&D group?
... It would probably just devolve into a shutter version of Oglaf, on second thought. 1242
The Flood / Re: Most depressing aspect of your life?« on: October 13, 2015, 08:28:02 PM »I'll be in a similar boat soon enough (if I get my shit together). First though, I'd like to straighten my priorities. Considering I know what I want to do I just have to plan a track to researching.Indeed, I mean preferably I'd spend the next two years as a ghost as well but unfortunately I think I'm going to be obliged to prove my existence at some point which is uh... fun.I could easily have not existed at all and just been a ghostOddly enough, this is precisely how I want to operate at my institution. I don't want anyone to remember me. The amount of field experience (and social connections) I have to endure is dependent upon which company I join or make. First I want to know exactly where I'm going, then plan around that. I'll likely make a decision to switch institutions to better fit my curricular interests, so I have to jump through more hoops, but it's also part of the reason I'm not making any social ties. I probably don't have to at this stage. And same, I'm nowhere near as miserable as last year and hopefully I can avoid that altogether from this point onwards. 1243

The Flood / Quick Question« on: October 13, 2015, 07:51:54 PM »
When people make threads with post responses incorporating external media, do you avoid posting on topic because of the effort, or because it just isn't appealing?
Mostly the latter, but a little bit of the former (especially when I have a perfect image in mind that I can't find). 1246

I constantly hold myself back from doing what's necessary in little ways, I guess.
I have the ability to change this and I'm attempting to do so. However, there are some things I know what to do (generally) to save time and effort, but they're difficult to execute. Edit: Overall I've come to view things much differently than I did even 6 months ago; I'm not particularly depressed about my issues but more often want to overcome them. 1256
The Flood / Re: Things You've Learned From Dreams (also a question about consent)« on: October 13, 2015, 05:52:13 PM »That reminds me of LCL in Evangelion, it's similar except in the anime it's used as a medium to synchronize neurally with the mechs. The suit was insulated and filled with a chemical like water, but more insulating, keeping things warm. I could breathe oxygen through the liquid like I was breathing normally. The only dream I can remember is one I had a good few years ago. Four or five. Was there awesome space stuff? I'd very much enjoy living to the real space age. 1257
The Flood / Re: Things you've always been enamored with« on: October 13, 2015, 04:28:40 PM »I haven't seen that one yet. I'll try to check it out.Honestly, I didn't mind it that much. I watched it with a friend and we made dinner so that enhanced the experience. The animation was beautiful and it was refreshing seeing scenery a little out of the ordinary for Ghibli films. However, the characters were lackluster. I don't have strong impressions of any characters and the villain is far from intimidating or engaging. It's like a painting with an impressionist background contrasted against a cubist foreground.Studio Ghibli filmsI forgot these in my previous response. 1258
The Flood / Re: Has anyone else given up on watching movies?« on: October 13, 2015, 04:23:49 PM »Watch something that fucks with your mindAlso, Perfect Blue. It's also a Satoshi Kon film like Paprika, but it's more psychological. OT: I only watch movies occasionally now, the forms of media I stick to are dwindling away progressively. I don't even watch much anime anymore... Or more like right now, anyway. 1260
