and his private life has been put on display for everybody to laugh and gawp at.
Then he shouldn't have been sending nude pics of himself to people. It's his own stupid fault since nobody told him to do that.
If a woman was sending naked pictures to her boyfriend and he shared them online, you and everyone else would blame him.
It's only because he didn't vote for an anti-discrimination bill that would have led to massive overreach that any of you blame him.
Victim blaming doesn't become okay just because the victim did some things you do not like.
There's a difference between sending them to your significant other and sending them to a bunch of random people who didn't even ask for or want them.
Are you implying that people who sign up for Grindr don't want to see dicks?
Because that's kind of the point of Grindr.
The point of Grindr is to find and date other homosexual men. Being on a dating website =/= wanting to see everyone on it naked. If they wanted dick pics they'd either ask or go on a porn website.
A less scrupulous person would accuse you of being prejudice against homosexuals for assuming that they're all a bunch of thirsty cock sluts that want to see everyones dicks.
It's possible I've misunderstood Grindr or you're misrepresenting it. My understanding was that it was essentially a homosexual equivalent of Tinder, oriented more towards casual sex than dating. If I'm wrong then I'm wrong, and seding these pictures is uncool. Still doesn't make it okay to share them.

fat load of good all this domestic spying is doing, eh? NSA might as well be captain hindsight.
"Hey, so this guy we're watching who tried to join al-Shabaab suddenly acquired two assault rifles. Let's sit here and do nothing about it."
well what are they gonna do? Knock on his door and ask if he's planning on shooting up Americans in the name of Allah with those rifles?
Yes?
But of course clamping down on guns in Texas would cause a media outrage there even if it were against a guy who tried to join al-Shabaab.
If he was on a terror watchlist he was more than likely not legally able to own one. I can't think of any reason a person not allowed to go to a certain region is allowed to own guns. It seems like a really obvious thing that nobody would overlook. Also, if they were actual assault rifles (select-fire weapons), and not just semi-automatic rifles with a dash of propaganda mixed in, there is absolutely no way they were legally obtained.

"He has shown you, O man, what is good."
This bit ruins it and is the problem.
The implication is that what is "good" is defined by religion.
Which is bullshit.

Snowden is a goddamn hero.
Lol.
Releasing information about the collection of metadata I can get behind, at least then there's a degree of transparency with the NSA and the FISA court. But when you start taking asylum in Russia, don't read half the shit you put out and then let it fall into the hands of terrorists and talk about cyber warfare with China then you're a treasonous scumbag.
I'd lean more towards incompetent and irresponsible than treasonous. These are, though, legitimate criticisms.

Yeah just like Charlie Hebdo, it's not a free speech issue so stop using Charlie Hebdo as some kind of free speech martyr. So. . . Getting murdered for drawing a satirical cartoon isn't a free speech issue.
Thanks, you've enlightened me. At least now I know you probably aren't worth listening to in the future.
First off, I never respected you enough to take your idiotic views seriously, they're just a joke.
Secondly getting murdered for drawing a cartoon has nothing to do with free speech or freedom of expression. It's called "Talk shit get hit". I know you have a hardon for Islamophobia but I never believed you were THIS stupid.
jesus chris ithis "talk shit get hit" bullshit? Are we, collectively, 13 years old?

I can't really see any unless you're operating a country that is extremely small geographically. Centralization is not good.

I can't take people who take anti-capitalist stances seriously at all, not even artists with apolitical material. It just demonstrates complete fuckheadery.

So they charged all the cops involved with the death today. The Cop who got the worst charge, Second Degree Murder, is Black. That's still racist, right?
Was this appeasement though? Haven't checked the details

I don't know. I guess I can see where it was wrong of him to be outed, but I just see this as a non-issue. Maybe he should've kept those nudey photos to himself if he didn't want to be revealed to be a hypocritical douchebag.
If it were literally anyone else's pictures revealed not one person in this forum would be okay with it.

There's really no point in making it official short of a political statement.
It's not like making it an official language would change anything at all.
I would advocate requiring English for citizenship, though.

you'd be perfectly fine with that and wouldn't tell anybody?
I'd block them and forget about the issue. I wouldn't go "Oh look, a closeted congressman" and then run to the press with it.
