Mass Effect: Great aesthetics, well-built universe, god-awful writing. Gameplay is a mixed bag.
Fallout: Strong sense of aesthetic style (except for Fallout 3), solid universe, brilliant writing (except for Fallout 3). Gameplay consistently good (except for Fallout 3).
Dark Souls: 3edgy5me aesthetics, minimalist lore presentation that is actually pretty okay, writing is nothing special. Gameplay 10/10. Fanbase fucking ruins it though, euphoric pretentious neckbeards.
