ye, it centered around an industrial age type alien civilization whose members are infected by a virus with implied hive mind sentience.
The story grappled with which being was really in control of the world around them, it was kind of like a mystery sci fi deal with a grounded plot that would ultimately funnel into a broader narrative.
I basically wanted the reader to create a parallel perspective while reading... but it kinda went to shit.
trying to establish stuff like that is pretty hard to plan around too, in conjunction with everything already happening in a plot. Messy work man, messy work.
yup, I think I can still do something with it if I put the time in tbh, I just need to get the core story down in order to mold it around the world I've envisioned.
