I need justification so that we can then justify life's current existence. If life doesn't need to exist, it creates more bad than good, then it should stop. Simple.
And life as we know it DOES create far more bad than good, I would argue. I really cannot see why anyone would want to believe that we either have to exist or perish Life is Life. If you believe that every planet that supports life is somehow creating all the "bad" in the world which in itself is an entirely moral justification that holds no weight in our actual realm/scope of existence, you're basing this whole ideology on nonsense.

Then let me ask you a question then, bubba. Why does humanity NEED to exist? humanity is the product of a life sustaining planet
there is no reason as to why we exist, only how But I'm not asking you that. I'm asking you why humanity NEEDS to exist. Why do we need to be here. Why do we need to continue. I'm not asking you why we're here. That's why I put big letters on the word "NEED", so that you wouldn't miss it.
I put big letters on it, and you STILL missed it.
i don't understand why you need to justify humanities existence/absence but i'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say humanity doesn't need to exist nor does anything else

lol is this an actual practiced ideology? seems like some people over think things Oh fuck off. "Don't use your brain, guys, that's not what they're for." Get out.
what? i really can't take anyone with a stance like yours seriously, telling me to use my brain yet hoping for the extinction of humanity...

Rockets become cheaper. We learn how to actually mine an asteroid. Find a way to get it back to earth. Either lots of small cheap probes to mine, or an extremely large one. Better propulsion.
sounds like a fun task

100 years.
i'm pretty sure we have the tech
just not the financial position
Considering nothing really bad happens within the next 2 decades it could happen sooner, I just don't trust any one country to start shit that could set us back some time, like another war.

I honestly don't want to see #Offtopic fall even though we have our own little sanctuary. It's like moving out of your parent's house into your own house and then your parent's house burns down.
Yea but our parents are assholes
