That actually sounds really fun.
Sort of like having a line of Browning .50s at Helms Deep kind of fun.
the game is cheesy as all hell, but yea the concept alone made it really fun

despite the mostly poor reviews I found the game to be really fooken entertaining. you were basically sent into different conflicts throughout history with futuristic weapons in order to save certain key individuals or some shet. the level design was mostly open and could hold around 300 individual AI combatants if the devs polished it up a bit, i might have been a successful franchise, i mean who dafek wouldn't want to slaughter ancients? if you have no idea what game i'm talking about.. discuss games that could have been successful

as we all know the meta containment board has been breached, and the monstrosity has been running amok ever since.. a team of brave scientists have been able to find the epicenter of the initial breakout... don't let this happen again

i was under the impression that the gen 2 armor makes up for the augmentations the spartan IVs receive
then again a II could just wear gen 2
as for the program itself, it's a compromise between quantity and quality, most if not all of the IVs were odsts and have seen their fair share of shet, still no match for the past iterations individually
And Spartan III's.

FUCK
the disease is winning
I know. It's sickening, but it's nothing that a shotgun can't fix.
maybe firearms are the key to the vaccine I've been developing...

couldn't you just meet your friends at the center of the universe?
I remember the devs saying there was going to be a traditional multiplayer added on in the future as well
oh yea right here
http://www.polygon.com/2014/7/9/5883791/no-mans-sky-multiplayer
The interview I posted he specifically says you can't just meet at the same place. It works exactly like destiny. Even if all of your friend went to the same place, chances are you wont be matched up with them. They also said that even if you managed to find the same planet, it would be like finding one person on earth by saying "I'm on a mountain"
And the article you posted is months old, this very well could be the multiplayer they were talking about then, or they may have scrapped the idea entirely.
hello games has said that they want to work on the game for the long term, so lets hope they are still adding this in. even if they don't however if it's done right, a dark souls type mulitplayer would be a really intriguing addition to the game I like the idea of an area where you can see other players messages.

RTS
An RTS with procedural generation...
I like that.
yea, the squares reminded me of military units on a simulation, but individual characters could be cool as well. the procedural generation could make the encounters unique with different terrain patterns for a variety of flanks n shiet
