I think I'd have a seizure from doing that being sober. Your parachute fails to deploy correctly, then you are in some big shit trouble.
You do have a backup, but even then it might be a bit late to deploy
And what if that one fails too? The deployment system isn't 100% guarantee.. They are like condoms. a small, but fair chance to fail. Only in this case you die instead of getting the lady pregnant.
You seed the soil with your remains.. Even people who do deploy the chute don't always land safely, there's the is vidya of some guy flying right into electrical lines
