Oh, wow, a "read every first letter of this greentext" greentext, revealing the name to be John Cena; I am flabbergasted!

I am not even going to criticise how you used the wrong shade of green.

Gaming / Re: Why is Dark Souls 2 such trash?

The Gargoyle Fight in DS2 was horrible design and possible the biggest pain in the ass boss encounter in the entire game.

Honestly anything boss encounters with more than 2 like... bosses to kill at once is overkill. Like imagine Ornstein and Smough, but with a third character or some jank.

What I didn't like however was the Pursuer boss being reused. I get that he's probably the coolest of the human encounters, but you didn't have to make him appear in multiple parts of the game, sometimes in pairs!
He's got that name for a reason...

Originally he was supposed to a boss encounter who could appear randomly at any, thanks to his giant eagle friend. He would be pursuing you... Anyways, this idea was scrapped for a reason unbeknownst to me and now he's just a boss you can fight multiple times in a playthrough without ascetics.

Well, it's actully quite usual that consecutive attacks are happening in affect to a previous one...

Watch the news - there may be happening something sooner or later if this threat was legitimate.

Before you came up with the idea of making this a (video)game; were you roleplaying in that world similar to DnD or something like that?

It always made me cringe since 99% of Tumblrites use "trigger" in the wrong way like everyone here uses cuck.
Pretty much this.

Stop with these 'Trigger warnings' everytime you make a thread including Sarkeesian. It creates an unnecessary stigma and almost seems like a meme (considering what counts as one on this website) to me.

Spoiler
I have nothing to say about the video since I haven't watched it. Maybe tomorrow you'll get a post about the actual topic.

Im probably the only one but the music never stood out to me in Dark Souls. I was too goddamn focused on the game to notice it .-.

Majulas theme is the only one i can remember

Sinh the Slumbering Dragon probably has the best theme in the series
That was a really good one

I hated the bloody fight though
What was wrong with it? It didn't seem too bad to me. Was about as hard as Kalameet.
Well, because it is Kalameet.

Plus poisonous gas.

Is

Is that another Death Star?
It's called the Starkiller Base.

It's not a Death Star per se, it's a planet that was fitted with a weapon capable of destroying a star, therefore killing all of the inhabitants of the system. It's a death star times forty, basically.
Seems like their way of thinking seems to be; "If it fails make it bigger"

One day they'll build a weaponised dyson sphere.

So I have the plot of the story if anyone wants it. I don't want to post it here in case someone accidentally clicks on it. But I will say this,
Spoiler
it has absolutely nothing to do with The Precursors/Flood returning, not even a slight nod to it, and in my opinion isn't the right progression for the story and sounds like a bad fanfic. But it is true based on the snippets of gameplay I've seen
Maybe a plottwist legendary ending?

I want to believe.

Gaming / Indivisible - A prototype game
« on: October 16, 2015, 04:25:48 PM »
While browsing I found a neat lil' game called 'Indivisible'. I had quite a lot of fun trying it out and I thought I'd share with you.

YouTube

It's a game by Lab Zero (commonly known for their development of 'Skullgirls') that is being crowdfunded on indiegogo right now.

Indivisible is an Action-RPG that 'fuses' classic aspects of JRPG with intuitive and refreshing gameplay mechanics and controls. You traverse a beautiful 2D environment via basic jump and run - if you encounter an enemy you'll switch to the combat mode. You will use an assigned action button to both block and attack.
The main combat mechanic reminded me of FFXIII's ATB system; you are able to attack once the gauge is and enemies will attack once their gauge is full (you'll also have to block their attacks). But contrary to FF this one's engaging and fun.

The backstory is that you're Ajna ('cause Anja is too mainstream of a name) daughter of the towns guardian. The town gets raided by some warlords. You discover mystical abilities that lets you conjure old spirits that can aid you in fights.
And that's about it... yeah.

You can download the prototype here for free: http://www.indivisiblegame.com/
Just unpack the .zip and the start the .exe - pretty simple.
