And hey, you know what CMB, I am going to sympathise with you here. I'll tell you how to work around hyperarmour and explain why it isn't a big deal at all.
The first and most braindead way to deal with them is to just trade with another UG Weapon. If you have the hp, the stamina, the defense and the damage to trade in your favor then hack away. The second way is to outrange them; halberds, pikes, the lucerne, whips. Twohand any of these. You'll obviously have to space yourself out properly and time your attacks just right. The last and my favourite way is to get in their face with either a onehanded straight sword or a twohanded curved sword, roll through all of their slow, telegraphed swings by reaction and punish them when they have completely depleted their stamina with a combo of their own. If you encounter an at least half decent player he will roll away before his stamina is depleted. What do you do there? Mix things up. Fake sprint attacks, when in range attack before they swing or interrupt their swing before hyper armour begins. If all of that is not possible due to high latency then exploit it by utlising hit'n'run tactics with quick weapons; attack, dodgeroll out of range, get in range quickly, repeat.
Really, the only big threat posed by UG Weapons is their high damage per hit which can easily avoided by rolling or spacing thanks to their ponderousness. Seriously, the attacks of UG Weapons are so slow that you can even land a Straight Sword R1 and then roll through their incoming attacks without being harmed.
They are not difficult to fight against.

Can someone in a non-autistic manner decipher what the hell Chaos is saying?
He compares the Cleric's Candlestick to another weapon with split damage from Dark Souls 2 which essentially had the same gimmick (Being able to cast sorceries with a meele weapon). He rants on about Ultra Great Weapons and their (easily manageable) hyperarmour. Then he complains about the weapon art. You light the candles on the weapon as a replacement for a torch. It also reveals more player messages and possibly ones hidden by the developers. He points out how low the damage is for casted sorceries. And then he complains about the requirements to wield the weapon. tl;dr: Don't mind his ramblings.

Can I sell my boss souls if I don't like anything they offer from transposition
yeah but if you're going for platinum you need every weapon so...
Sorry-not-sorry man, but you're wrong again. There are achievements for acquiring all pyromancies, all sorceries, all miracles and all rings respectively . So before you transpose anything into a weapon you don't want transpose it into spells or rings if possible.
By the way, Snake, have you by chance fought a dude wielding a giant club and a stone greatshield on top of archdragon peak? If so check back above the Wolf of Farron bonfire. There's something hidden for you. Also if haven't done it yet, use the path of the dragon gesture in front of the altars in the archdragon peak.
sorry not sorry you're a faggot for saying sorry not sorry

Too late, already defeated Iudex Gundyr and saved at Firelink. Lol.
That's not that much of a problem. In case you want try it out, another popular duelling area is at the very first bonfire on the high wall of lothric. It just gets a bit less traffic than the pontiff arena.

Each higher NG cycle wields higher drop rates so wait for NG++ to farm covenant items. You will have to farm for them either way, unfortunately, if you play offline.
Alright seems like you're soon completing your first playthrough. I'm glad you enjoyed youself.
Alright, gotcha. I'll start it tonight.
Thanks a bunch.
One thing though. You can try duelling in the area directly after pontiff sullyvahn to acquire rewards for the rosarias fingers, mound makers and warriors of sunlight (<- paradoxically) by equipping each respective covenant and putting down a sign with the red soapstone. There you fight against people, who have given their consent, in a controlled environment and familiarise yourself with the pvp. That's something even Verbatim would be okay with.

(currentl 123 IIRC).
That's like mid NG+ playtrough territory. I still haven't seen the need to level up my main beyond SL 100 and I'm already at Pontiff.
And don't overestimate NG+. (Sadly) the only change applied to increase difficulty is giving enemies higher attack ratings and more health. Since you know most of the ins-and-outs by now it will be a breeze.
For some reason, my Infusement trophy is fucked. I bought a dagger and infused one of everything onto it, including the irving stone (that gets rid of all infusements, idr what it's called.)
I bought a bunch of daggers and infused one after the other until the achievment was unlocked for me. Maybe you have to have every infusion in your inventory? I don't know what else you could do there. Is it worth it to grind covenant items right now or will I come across many of them naturally over the course of my next 3 playthroughs? I need to get to rank 30 in some of them.
Each higher NG cycle wields higher drop rates so wait for NG++ to farm covenant items. You will have to farm for them either way, unfortunately, if you play offline even if you play online, because they are simply not active enough. How do you get great balls?
Level up to unlock them and then you have a chance to get them at PokeStops. Obviously the chance to get them is lower than for normal balls.

Can anyone recommend a good spot to farm Souls?
I'm quite late here but the very best spot to farm souls is killing the Golden Winged Knights on top of the archives using the pyromancy rapport and backstab chaining. Return to the Grand Archives bonfire after you've killed all three and repeat. If you don't have the pyromancy or the means to use it, kill the three scholars (the men with the wax on their head) in front of the big pool of wax repeatedly. Alternatively, you can start from the lothric castle bonfire (after the dancer) and repeatedly kill the sword and shield wielding knight. While you have the choice to kill the other two knights, it will actually result in less souls per minute because of the time it takes you to walk towards and fight them. An added bonus is that the lothric knight has a relatively high drop chance for large titanite shards and titanite chunks. At what point should I start New Game+?
After you've explored the remaining secret areas and killed their respective bosses and have spoken to the blacksmith after doing that.

So, does this one take place in the same place as DS1? I remember firelink being a place in that game as well.
Your will revisit a certain area but it mostly it takes place in a different place that is quite close to the locale of DaS1. Like a neighbouring kingdom if you will.
Likewise for everything else, there are lore reasons as to why they are so near to each other.
The Firelink Shrine here is completely different from the one in DaS1.
Oh ok
Is there really any info on how lordran(I think that was DS1's place) and drangleic and (DS3 location) interacted with each other or whatever at their prime?
The way how DaS2 relates to 3 is really a headscratcher. As Miyazaki wasn't involved in its development, since he was working on Bloodborne, the story took a drastic deviation from 1. It's best to assume that DaS2 had almost no effect on the overarching lore of the series given the very, very few references to it in DaS3 and the convenient explanation that it's an alternate realm altogether provided by the intro cutscene of DaS2.
On the other hand references to 1 and are everywhere and even unavoidable in 3. More or less quick summary: The flame is fading and needes undead with special souls to link it, like the protagonist of DaS1. But as time goes on less and less undead are fit to link the flame and as a desperate measure previous lords of cinders, those who have already given themselves to the flame, are awakened from the dead to act as fuel yet again. They refuse. So instead the Unkindled Ashes, the undead unfit to link the flame, are sendt out to inherit the cinders of the lords so they could link the flame again, somehow. Lothric is in the center of all this as it's the link to of the first flame and graveyard of the Unkindled Ashes.
Hope this somehow helps - if you've got further questions or want to know about something precisely don't be afraid to ask.
So does your DS1 character appear as a boss at any point in the same way Sheogorath in Skyrim is technically the Hero of Kvatch from Oblivion? Because that would be sweet.
No.
actual spoiler guys
Spoiler i thought the final boss was supposed to represent the characters who had linked the flame in the past
Spoiler While that's true, the soul of Cinder is an amalgamation of every soul sacrificed to the flame but not literally the same character from DaS1.
I mean the example Bacon gave - Sheogorath - is literally the same character you played in Oblivion, only changed through the influence of being a Deadric Lord. That doesn't apply to the SoC. I guess I'm just caught up on technicalities. @Bacon: Correction, yes he does in a certain way.

working on my katana skill (chaos blade)
any recommendations for upgrades infusions etc
You can't infuse it. It's a unique weapon. Go full DEX if you are dedicated to use it though. Maybe invest a bit in luck (around 20-ish) if you want the superior bleed damage unique to it to proc more often. Yep I meant Pickle-Pee. A new game cycle resets her trade status, so you trade the same items for the same rewards again. Also, any tips for Dragonslayer Armour?
Weak to frost. Resist lightning and dark. Get your dodge game going. If he gets you in a combo he will deplete your stamina if you block it. He has long recovery so exploit that to attack or heal, engaging before he attacks is usually risky.

Snake, don't read this It's in a spoiler tag for a reason Funny how he is wrong in his assumption how the DA is optional and Faraam armour being close to Oceiros.
Though he will probably look it up if doesn't, how long will he take to A) Realise he can use the Path of the Dragon gesture to get in the optional area and B) Hit the wall after Oceiros boss room.
Thb, B was spoiled for me because I was watching a playthrough of someone after I completed mine. Never knew about the area. Funnily enough, I figured out A almost immediately.

NG+ and NG++ change generic soul drops you can find to make them more useful. For example corpses that had 'Soul of an unknown traveller' in your first playthrough may have 'Soul of a proud Paladin' in NG+. Additionally NG+ and NG++ have exclusive ring items scattered around the environment. These additional, upgraded rings are placed individually and don't reuse the positions of items you previously found. This means that you can find loot places which were vacant in the first playthrough. All consumeables are kept, including boss souls, arrows, bolts, etc. All weapons, armour, rings and spells are kept. Covenant ranks will be kept. Hollowing status remains. All key items will be lost. All merchant upgrades will be lost; you will have to find coals for the blacksmith, ashes for the handmaid, scrolls for the sorcerer, etc. Kind of a secret since you haven't found it yet You can trade with the crow on top of the shrine again.

It wouldn't have been a surprise anyway. I wouldn't have figured it out. Try hope, skeleton! So should I use a Refined Gem on my Lothric Sword?
Depends on your stats, but really it doesn't matter that much for PvE. Minmaxing only starts to be relatively important when you PvP. To answer to you: If your DEX & STR are moderately high (20-25+) then yeah it probably pays out.

Spoiler Check their chains. I don't play online so a lot of the hints aren't there.
My hint won't require any online help, though. Further tips Mimics have to breathe for time to time, so they open the lid from time to time You can throw Hunter charms at them and render them harmless

Alva.
Found it out yourself or did you look it up?
Looked it up.
Aw man, there goes the surprise. How do you improve the dex scaling? I've used the strength gem to improve its strength scaling through infusing but i dont know if you can use multiple gems
You can only use one Gem on each individual weapon. Every new infusion will overwrite the previous. The gems have the following effects: - Shriving Stone: Revert the weapon to orignal state after any infusion
- Raw: Remove Scaling//Add Phys DMG
- Refined: Increase DEX/STR Scaling moderately//Lower innate base DMG
- Sharp: Sharply increase DEX scaling//Lower innate base DMG
- Heavy: Heavily increase STR scaling//Lower innate base DMG
- Fire: Remove scaling//Lower innate base DMG//Add additional fire DMG
- Chaos: Lower STR/DEX scaling//Lower innate base DMG//Add fire DMG scaling with INT/FTH
- Deep: Remove scaling//Lower innate base DMG//Add additional dark DMG
- Dark: Lower STR/DEX scaling//Lower innate base DMG//Add dark DMG scaling with INT/FTH
- Crystal: Lower STR/DEX scaling//Lower innate base DMG//Add magic DMG scaling with INT
- Simple: Lower STR/DEX scaling//Lower innate base DMG//Add magic DMG slightly scaling with INT/FTH//slow FP regeneration over time
- Lightning: Lower STR/DEX scaling//Lower innate base DMG//Add lightning DMG scaling with FTH
- Blessed: Lower STR/DEX scaling//Lower innate base DMG//Add phys DMG scaling with FTH//slow HP regeneration over time
- Hollow: Lower innate base DMG//Add phys DMG scaling with luck
- Poison: Lower STR/DEX scaling//Lower innate base DMG//Add or increase poison buildup of weapon
- Bleed: Lower STR/DEX scaling//Lower innate base DMG//Add or increase bleed buildup

So you're already close to Yhorm? In this case I'll tell you how to get one of the armour sets you wanted. Still going to be quite vague. The requirement is that you use an Ember.
Location of consequential NPCs The one you seek will guard the entrance to the dungeon. Location of items You will find it near a child of dark. Which armor? Faraam?
I know I have to defeat Alva outside of the Irithyll Dungeon and then collect his armour somewhere in the Dungeon. That's what I'll be doing when I start playing again today.
Which items were you talking of?
Alva. Found it out yourself or did you look it up?
