Which means:
CE > ODST (story) > 3 > 2 > wars > 4 and reach.
I didn't hate 4 and reach, they kept me occupied the least amount of time though.

Also, the combat is reminiscent of Assassin's Creed 1 and 2, so it's no longer a counter-attack-combo-kill fest that had made combat a laughable breeze the past few games.
But combat was already laughably easy in AC 1 and 2. It's one of my main gripes with the series, taking down heaps of enemies who, instead of just going after you, decide to simply stand around in a circle and politely take turns attacking the player one at a time.
Yeah.
I enjoyed AC2 when it came out free with Games with Gold, but I haven't replayed it ever since I finished it. Fun game, interesting story, but the combat is so easy and the game is so easy in general that it just doesn't have any replay value. The assassinations can be done as brutally and loud as possible in the middle of a crowd in broad daylight, because you can just jump in some hay and hide or outrun the guards. Or just straight up kill them then run off.
It's fun. I really did enjoy it, but I wouldn't buy a single game of the series. It's just way too easy.
I've died or been spotted multiple times in Unity at least. Guards with guns are assholes. It's definitely more difficult. It's flipped logic for guards. I step two places away from a massive crowd and they flip shit. Or one mission there were thousands of people but they single me out, lol.

I finished a detective mission in Unity that was cool, and the co-op requires coordination and planning. You'd like that from what I saw in your other comment.
However, there are bugs and the frames hurt my eyes at one point (I have never complained about frames before but this sucks). So I'd wait for unity. I hope they fix it :/
How often is it dropping frames?
It's playable, so far it hasn't made me quit. Often enough for me to notice. Its hard for me to explain because I don't normally complain/critique graphics (I'm not picky). Its like the game is always ten frames lower then what I'm used to. It's chugged once for me so far (as in massive frame drop). If anyone says the frames crash constantly I'd say they are exaggerating though. It gets better when you are running around having fun (free-roaming). You don't notice the frames that much then. However in large crowds and cutscenes it's sad. The graphics are just lame. Jagged lines, low frames. Which is a massive shame because the detail is all there. The world is large, alive, full of NPCs, hidden passages, rooms, etc. All detailed. Just shitty resolution and no smoothness. Destiny, Call of Duty, Halo, all leagues ahead. I expected Unity to be lower quality because it's open world but not by the amount it currently is.
