You should start bumping the old music threads you make rather than making new ones.
That would be reasonable, though.
Are you guys for real?

You all voted for the music thread to be unpinned. I'm not going to tool around bumping old threads.
The more music threads you make, the harder it is to find the original. >.>

But I for one wanted to keep it bumped.
Would it help if I didn't include the word 'music' in the OP. I can do that. I'm not a prick.
Uh... I have no idea. >.> I think the search engine just searches for any instance of 'music' and 'thread' together in that order (or whatever you decide to search). So even mentioning 'music thread' or saying 'music thread' or just having the words 'music' and 'thread' in a post makes the original thread tougher to find.

;_;
well I won't say it in the OP anymore
That might help >.>

Another way to look at this is how the US military likes to turn tales like his into propaganda stories. Just conveniently leave out the things that should have any decent person outraged and hype up the heroics, and you have the basis for another recruitment drive.

It's not the first time they've turned a military horror story into pro-war propaganda.

EDIT: jeez what the heck was up with my grammar when I was typing this?

YouTube

They can make a really kick ass song for a trailer like this. I have no idea who it is and Shazam has nothing.

Don't really care for the product though. Thoughts on the music?
Meh, didn't really like the music.

I'm still just in shock how easy it was to update Halo 2 Vista and GFWL once I had it running. It was so streamlined that it was almost exactly like updating an Xbox 360 game. So I have to say, at least right now, that commercial was pretty effective for me.  :o

If it has a singleplayer, then yes, of course. I hate a half-assed campaign.

But the same can also be said for multiplayer. I don't want a half-assed multiplayer, either. Or a half-assed anything. Either do it right, or don't do it at all (or save it for the sequel >.>)

Like Nuka said, Yutaka seems rather invisible most of the time. I'm not sure how much moderating I've actually seen him do... ever. Although he does do the podcast stuff, maybe he should just be whatever the new Monitor role is instead.

None of them have done anything like Kiyo did, so I guess that's a plus >.>

I really wouldn't mind if they all stayed aboard and got better with experience. I think the decision to let them stay or go should just happen already, it's dragging on long enough already.

>lives in the era of the dawn of the personal computer and the world wide web and therefore near infinite knowledge
>says it's the most boring time period

Come on, mang.
So many interesting things have already happened >.>

With all these computers right now and corporations and governments that couldn't give a flying fuck about security and privacy, this is such a... it's ripe for abuse and there's so much drama for the wrong reasons. Hacking, doxxing, spying, all this stuff for stupid political games or simply for the lulz. What's really happening that's worth remembering, like, 10 years from now?

No single person is capable of changing the world, it has always been the efforts of a group. Alone our efforts might indeed be pointless and we might feel we aren't capable of reaching any goal, but it's only when we are together that we are capable of making a difference. Everyone has something to add, that's why we need to be together in that group.
Every group has its leaders. Most people are just cogs in the machine, doing what they're told.

We're alive during such a boring time period. By the time something like space travel or space colonies become a thing, we'll be old at best, dead at worst.
You live in a period in time where there is constant war, strife, lack of education, poverty, hunger, and corruption. It is a time where many people are just trying to live their lives while all this happens around them. You have the choice to be one of those many people, or you can choose to deal with these issues and ensure that time period you dream of becomes a reality, because if your generation doesn't do anything about this world and just keeps dreaming of the stars, then you will never get there.

There is nothing boring about this.
It's the same problems humanity has always had. Yes, I can make some people's lives better. But people are bastards to each other and that's never going to change.
People are always going to fight each other and hate, but people are also  always help each other and love. What do you gain by giving up or doing nothing? What do you have to lose by experiencing and making the most out of the life you've been given, and make sure that your children and grandchildren will be able to go where you've always wanted them to be?
I have no intention of ever having children. When I'm dead, that's it. No legacy for me.

...That sounded really selfish in context. But I guess I am, a bit.
Your specific children, the next generation, it's really just a figure of speech here.

You might not want to have children now, or even in the future, but that doesn't mean there won't be more people in the future.
Don't get me wrong, I get your point, but... it all just feels so pointless.

Anything I can do is only going to have a small or limited effect on the world. Most people probably won't even notice. Nobody is going to remember. As opposed to like, landing someone on Mars, or making some breakthrough in stem cell research or computer AI, or something else that would really advance humanity in some huge way. I'm just an average Joe Schmoe and I don't have half the vision of someone who's actually at the forefront of this stuff.

I love how none of you can fucking read. The news wasn't Hoth you idiots, it was that they have multiple Hoth maps rather than the traditional one Hoth map of old
I think you might be reading too much into it. This is Gamespot, after all.

Although I'd be pleasantly surprised if there were multiple Hoth maps.
It's a quote from the guy they are interviewing rather than Gamespot, the interview is the same on IGN too.
The IGN quote was:
Quote
Hoth, where the Rebel Alliance fought off invading AT-ATs in snowy plains, will differ in size than the dense woodland of Endor.
Gamespot paraphrased it differently. I would like to see the actual transcript of the interview, but I would be surprised if there turned out to be more than one Hoth map.
