Gaming / Re: Why do most of you guys game on consoles as opposed to PC?

So this is basically a debate about FPS now right?
No

You find me a game with something as low as 2fps and tell me thats fun.
it could be fun

depends on what i'm doing

The reason why higher FPS is objectively better is because you are in that world, you need to move and react in a second and that reaction needs to flow with you, the lower it gets the less you feel attached to the world.
that's all well and good, but i fail to see why that means it's better objectively
Yeah and like, some games actually have the underlying mechanics updating 60 times per second while the graphics run at 30 frames per second, essentially (theoretically) making frame rate a moot point.
Do you have any examples of this? As far as I know, the only cases where mechanics matter with framerate are those that are tied to it. Examples being Killer is Dead, GTAV, and the newest REmake.
Criterion's Need for Speed 2010 (and likely 2012's Most Wanted) is the only specific example I can think of off the top of my head.

Seriously they should have just captured the monster instead of running each episode.
Why did they never bring a gun. It's merica after all

Because guns are the tools of injustice
A means for cowards and criminals to oppress the people

Not if its self defense from a monster trying to kill you
but it's usually some guy in a monster costume though

yeah but xbox doesn't get hacked nearly as often or as severly as PSN so.....

Gold is paying for security

PS+ makes more money than Live.

I think they make roughly the same amount of money.

The PSN hacks are simply more publisised than the Xbox, too.

That's a load of bollocks. They're legally required to disclose that information. That would mean that Microsoft has been violating the law for the past 12 years or so and somehow avoided any sort of hard-hitting journalism or governmental investigation.

...or they legitimately haven't had a major breach yet.

Yup. Education is just another battleground for partisan politics. It's not about being right, or being factual, it's just about being on the 'winning' side.

In some ways yes, but it'll definitely carve out a new path for itself. From what I can tell, there's still the thrills of Jedi and jetpacks and ship-flying, but this time around we'll get better maps, cutting-edge graphics, and a horde mode that'll probably be a ton of fun.

I'm trying to stay skeptical but it grows on me the more I watch the gameplay. Can't wait for the PC beta to start tomorrow.

GWG is great though. The fact that you don't lose all your games the second you stop paying your subscription is godlike.
Yeah, Xbox Live has always been good about stuff like that.  :D

...Wait, does PS+ take them away if you cancel?
As far as I know, they remain permanently fixed to your account but you can only keep playing them as long as you have an active PS+ membership.
Wow, that's... not good.
