if you're a wolf, you don't have to be alone!

Emblem selection isn't great, and I haven't edited it yet. Will do when I get time. I was hoping to get clippy as an emblem for it but no such luck.
Yessss. I'll join later.

Welp guys, I'm about to go dark. I'm ordering my H5 Xbone today, and in the meantime, I'll be keeping myself occupied by catching up with Nightfall and Hunt the Truth, and probably reading Fall of Reach too, at the very least.

Spoiler
PS: I'll be gone for like two months because it's going to be my Christmas present.

Cheers!
Don't you dare leave
I already saw like 2 spoilers in the first mission that got me super hyped, I'm not going to have any more of this spoiled than I already have. >.>

Spoiler
I've heard something similar but not in as much detail yet. Skimmed over it to avoid spoilers.

I think it was stated in the main thread that Blue Team likely has longer missions, and more importantly, it wouldn't be much of a mystery if you don't get to figure it out with Osiris.

Can't say I'm too bothered, though.

I feel like Phantom Menace will age the best out of the prequels. The CGI in AOTC and ROTS has aged terribly, and Phantom's saving grace is that it used more practical effects in comparison.

But I'm also biased because it was the first Star Wars I saw in a theater >.>

but a 10% rate of success is ridiculous.
I think you misread. 10% of the casualties are the intended target, meaning for every one target they kill, on average, they kill 9 other militants.
EDIT: Fact-checked myself, huh.

The uncertainty of it all when a strike gets approved is very, er, legally fishy. A warrant is specific; you can't search George's house when the warrant is for Ringo's house instead. Extrajudicial assassinations help the administration avoid countless legal challenges for getting the wrong guys time and time again, and I can't say I'm a fan of them being above the law.

I mean, I'd very much prefer the administration have more solid intel than what they're using to approve these strikes that end up missing their intended targets, and I'm really concerned about the legality of it all... but I can't say the world's going to miss most of those other guys.

*ahem* back in character

I'm not sure if you're referring specifically to Anwar al-Awlaki, but his death was pretty well-justified. As for supposedly sweeping authority to kill Americans abroad, that's an entirely separate issue from what is discussed in 'The Drone Papers'. As for the legality, it's plainly clear that targeted killings and assassinations are completely different legal and ethical entities. Killing a leader of an active militant group is tantamount to national self defense, just like any other strike or attack.
I'll give you that part about al-Awlaki, but a targeted killing is an assassination by definition.

I'm going to have to disagree with that last part. It's a hawkishly broad rationale that's ripe for abuse.

I can't remember specifically. Probably some lousy TF2 or Garry's Mod map that was just barely getting started but the maker still wanted to show off what they'd done so far. >.>

This conversation may be getting a bit too absurd for its own good. Lucas got jaded with Star Wars by the time of ROTJ pretty much because 'no kid wants to buy a dead Han Solo figure'. Ditched his longtime pal and producer Gary Kurtz and just decided to do whatever would make the most money.

It was literally about the money. But it's difficult to blame him for being burnt out after how awful it was making ANH and ESB.

ROTJ being darker was what Kurtz had envisioned in the early days of the movie, perhaps before anything was even committed to a script. Executor instead of a derivative second Death Star, Wookiees instead of Ewoks, Han dies, and Luke is left disillusioned like any normal person would be. I mean, ROTJ did have more than enough good moments to be nearly perfect for pretty much anyone--it's still one of the better examples of how to properly end a story--but its failings are what held it back.

As for ROTS and Empire, I find it difficult to believe that one could like the former but not the latter... somehow. ESB was trying to open that 'darker' door to Star Wars, but as I elaborated upon earlier, things didn't quite go as planned. ROTS is perhaps the closest thing to ESB since... ESB. But it's still hampered by shoddy dialogue, poor use of CGI (this is no Fury Road), Grievous being a lot more bark than bite, and not-great acting. Irvin Kersher's direction in ESB brought out that casts' best performances, whereas even talented actors like Samuel L. Jackson and Natalie Portman seemed a bit out of it in the prequels. Only Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor, and Ian McDiarmid seemed like they had any idea what they were doing in those films.

The prequels' bigger problems lie in how most of the hero's development happens in a spin-off sequel/prequel series instead of the movies themselves. That's inexcusable.

GTG for now but that's most what I had to say. Holy shit, 25 replies while typing this up.

What even is it? I've heard about it but it just looks like standard weebshit.
Hunter x Hunter 2014 is the best Shonen genre anime I've seen.
It's about a kid named Gon who follows in his father's footsteps and enrolls in the arduous Hunter Exam.
Better than FMA: Brotherhood?
