Reading over the complaints...

This is like going to see Star Wars and bitching about it not being based on hard science. Your complaints are the whole point. It's supposed to be stupid potty humor. It's supposed to be dumb action. It's not supposed to be a superhero flick. I mean... This is Deadpool we're talking about here. He's supposed to be a walking 90's kid meme

just because something is meant to be stupid doesn't somehow make it

yknow

not stupid

That's pretty cynical fam. Story was pretty good and solid from the novels up to Halo 3, where the general direction was okay but details were iffy.

I can always take solace in that at least it wasn't Sonic

in all seriousness, thebest fiction ever produced for halo was released in halo 3

the terminals were the pinnacle of halo storytelling in that game, imo

Just tell them you worship a different god.

Makes it kind of hard to do when I've already admitted to being an atheist multiple times in the recent past.

And it's just my luck that I'm in love with a fundy. Not a problem for me, but it is for her.

Most of the time the "atheist" thing is a huge benefit for me as most girls i talk to aren't fundies and indeed like the mystery

9463
the people at my school are, like, afraid to hang out with me because they all think i'm an atheist

so that's what their community is doing -- ostracisation

Do you go to a religious school?

yeah, ever since grade 3

not a great time, but the action was spot-on. closest thing to the a real-life comic book translation since the winter soldier.

LOL how funny that philosophers have said the complete opposite.

What do I care if philosophers advise against it?

9472
It's maylay.

you should punch your friends in the face

they wouldn't be my friends much longer if i did

no, i kept the punches confined to the compounds of final destination and battlefield

9473
Super Smash Bros. Melee:

"May-lay" is how I've always said it (which I'm pretty sure is the correction version), but my friends tried to convince me it was "Mee-lee"

and one time I heard it said "may-lee".

9474
>pronounce "ocarina" correctly the first time
>dumbass cousins talked shit because they pronounced it "ork-in-uh'
is it OAK-uh-rina
or AWK-uh-rina

i say oak because it sounds better, but it's probably wrong

"Awk-uh-rina" is the official pronunciation.

we got reasonably close to the same stats but you tripled my score

what's that about?
You score more points if you clear more than a few lines simultaneously. Clearing a single line only nets you a little. Doubles and triples are worth more. Quadruples (or Tetrises) are worth the most (I don't know the exact numbers, but I'm sure it varies from game to game). My strategy was to set the blocks up in such a way that I would be able to plunge the skinny "l" block down a narrow empty column to score multiple Tetrises.

So, if I had to guess, you probably only scored singles and doubles.

You also score a little bit of points based on how fast you can successfully place the blocks. If you take forever to place the blocks, you'll only get, like, 2 points--but if you act immediately, you'll get around 20.

ah, that makes sense

see i normally plan out where my current piece is going to go, and then look to see where the next piece will go to plan ahead. i rarely use the "speed up" function.
