Portugal was a lot more impressive at one point, IIRC.

Gaming / Re: best game water youve ever seen« on: April 30, 2016, 06:08:37 PM »Nice. Thoughts? I stopped updating that thread as soon as I began to realise that I wasn't enjoying myself as much as I thought I should be. I pushed through until the end because, well, it's a pretty easy game and it wasn't the chore Ocarina of Time was. Objectively, it's a very well-made game and easily one of the best I've ever played. But... I've begun to dislike playing video games more and more in recent years, so the enjoyment factor has less to do with the game's quality and more to do with my inability to experience the medium properly. Even older games I used to love, like Jak and Daxter/Ratchet and Clank/Pokemon I can't have fun playing anymore. I feel that I like the idea of video games more than the video games themselves. It's unfortunate because I enjoy so few things these days and video games were my main form of escapism, but, what are you going to do? I don't know if you want me to rate it or something, and I didn't enjoy it nearly as much, but I'd easily say it's as well-made as Snake Eater (my favourite game.) Potentially more so, objectively. 8467

Is this that app from Community where they all rate each other on a scale from 1-5 and the entire society turns into a oligarchical dictatorship where the top rated people are the upper class that makes all the decisions for everyone?

The Flood / Re: I didn't go to prom« on: April 17, 2016, 08:45:56 PM »What about the setting is special? I don't know what your prom was like, but from what I can tell, you usually rent out a gymnasium/hall, get a D.J., set up tables for mingling and stuff... it's essentially the first formal get-together you'll be doing as an adult, alone. I bet when you hang out with Joey after school you don't get all that. Quote Maybe you hate them all and want nothing to do with them. That's a good reason not to go to prom. 8489
The Flood / Re: I didn't go to prom« on: April 17, 2016, 08:38:18 PM »I just told you: You can do that literally every other day in the year. Nothing about prom is special. The setting is special. It's just a tradition; a last hurrah with the people you spent 4 years with. I don't get what's not to like, even if it is meaningless. 8490
The Flood / Re: I didn't go to prom« on: April 17, 2016, 08:32:20 PM »What makes prom special? It's a fun night out with friends, listening to music and celebrating. I don't get why you wouldn't want to be a part of that. Quote Also, not everybody cares to get a date or to spend hundreds of dollars on a suit or dress they'll never wear again. No one requires you to do that at all. I'm going to prom in jeans and a jacket, my regular attire, and [probably] dateless. Who gives a fuck. |
