It's a few years into the future and the night of our wedding... passionate kissing evolves as the supressed sexual urges that have been building up since the relationship's inception finally come to the surface.
Something like that. 8403

Gaming / Re: Stupid irrelevant shit about games that people always have an opinion on« on: May 19, 2016, 12:10:59 AM »Disagree. If you're playing on "crushing" difficulty, expect to get crushed. That's kinda the idea. Well, I also take issue with the concept of varying difficulty levels, too. There's always one difficulty level the game was designed to be played on -- so fucking play it on that. Unless each level is hand-crafted to actually be more or less challenging with genuine, tangible differences, I just think it's lazy. Making enemies do more damage, have higher accuracy, higher awareness, or take more hits before dying doesn't actually improve the game in any meaningful way. Quote --or play a game you actually like, for that matter. I was only using Uncharted as a reference. See below. Quote If playing at higher difficulties isn't fun for you, then just don't bother. That's precisely why there are difficulty options in the first place. I just hate this notion that games need to be made easier for people who suck, when, no, they shouldn't. I'm not against hard games, or, making games harder. The Last of Us is a million times more fun to play on Grounded because 1) there is no cheap, see-through-walls button 2) resources are painfully scarce, making item management and scavenging an integral part of the game 3) because resources are so minimal, and it takes so much effort to acquire the small amounts you do have, head-on combat is subtely discouraged by the game in favour of extensively-planned and perfectly-executed stealth gameplay that, if you fuck up, the game will punish you for. It's painful but rewarding in the best possible way. All of these things are important to the overall experience and lend an almost inexplicable feeling to the game that, on top of it's incredible narrative, really bring it all together. That's how you do difficulty. But see, the game should be played on Grounded to begin with -- that should be the only option available, because it is undoubtedly the best way to play the game. I don't criticise Uncharted for it's difficulty -- I criticise it for how it becomes more difficult: with bullshit and laziness. Games shouldn't be made to be "easier" or "harder" for anyone -- they should reflect the desires of the creator, and what she envisioned. I assume we're on the same page with that one. 8409
Gaming / Re: Stupid irrelevant shit about games that people always have an opinion on« on: May 18, 2016, 05:25:27 PM »
I think your argument for difficulty needs a bit of work.
Games being too difficult to enjoy, like Uncharted 1 on Crushing, fucking suck to play. Bottom line. (Not that Uncharted 1 is any good to begin with.) There's challenging by way of developer competency (the right way to do it) and then there's other bullshit, like OP AI, for example. 8410

The Flood / Re: What exactly do I need to buy a car from a dealership?« on: May 17, 2016, 12:02:46 PM »Loans are a thing of life, its best to start now so you can accumulate a good credit rating if you ever want a large loan or a home loan, which I assume anyone needs. What would you consider "small"? 8414
The Flood / Re: What exactly do I need to buy a car from a dealership?« on: May 16, 2016, 11:53:38 PM »Is it possible for you to get a loan? Even a small one to make halves with whatever you already have. I'd rather not take out a loan if I can avoid it. Quote Also look for used cars online. Dont go to a dealership for god sake. Those used cars you find online are sold at dealerships... pre-owned or something like that. Plus you don't often need to worry about problems with your vehicle at a dealership. 8415
The Flood / Re: What exactly do I need to buy a car from a dealership?« on: May 16, 2016, 10:45:57 PM »or the same amount for less time. What's preferable, smaller amount for longer time, or larger amount for shorter time? 8416

The Flood / Re: What exactly do I need to buy a car from a dealership?« on: May 16, 2016, 08:33:26 PM »The more you put down, the less you have to finance. So I'd be paying a smaller amount every two weeks for the same amount of time. 8419
The Flood / Re: What exactly do I need to buy a car from a dealership?« on: May 16, 2016, 08:29:10 PM »Okay, so, down payment requirement is mostly gonna be dependant on how much you want to or can finance. I only dropped a grand down front in my new used ride (2007) cause december/Novemberalways fuck me hardcore (and that's when I needed a new car) and I got a long loan time. So the more money I put up for a down payment, the longer (and more expensive) financing I have to go through? For example, if I put down 1K, I'd have, say, $120 bi-weekly finance for 72 months. But if I put 5K, I'd have $120 bi-weekly for 24 months? (Or something like that...) 8420
The Flood / Re: What exactly do I need to buy a car from a dealership?« on: May 16, 2016, 08:26:50 PM »you get reports on used cars there, to make sure there's no lying going on Oh, I see. That makes sense. Still, I'd rather have some sort of bi-weekly payment plan like I would have through a dealership that allows me to not have to front a shit ton of cash right now. 8421

The Flood / What exactly do I need to buy a car from a dealership?« on: May 16, 2016, 08:20:20 PM »
Due to current circumstances, I'm in need of a car. I'd like to get something that's good on gas and reliable, so feel free to suggest stuff, too. I was thinking Ford Focus or Hyundai Elantra/Accent.
I don't know the first thing about buying a car. I don't have anybody willing to help me out IRL with this. Do I absolutely need to make a downpayment? If so, what's the minimum I can put forward? I have virtually no money right now so that's also an issue. Any help is appreciated. 8423
