so what are we all thinking of Breath of the Wild so far?

8192
I'm really digging the aesthetic of this game. It's like Wind Waker in that I think it will age really well.

8193
Alternate Rhaegar Targaryen skin for Link confirmed?

8194
I sincerely doubt it.

8195
So on a scale of Sony>Ubisoft>Bethesda>EA>Microsoft how is nintendo going/ gone?

It's too early to tell. I was impressed with what Zelda showed, and they're still not done showing stuff. Pokemon is pretty boring, but unless you're the one playing, it's always boring.

Additionally, I would say:

Sony >>> EA > Microsoft > Ubisoft

8196
"For all the people who maybe haven't played a Pokemon game before"

why

There's always new fans. I mean it's pretty common knowledge but I guess they want to explain it all.

I know but how many "new fans" are watching the Pokemon live stream

and how many of those new fans who ARE actually watching the live stream haven't done even 5 minutes of research into what pokemon is to know that battling pokemon is what the heart of pokemon is

8197

All I wanna see is the final evolution for each starter... that's really what this is all about.

8199
This is a pretty bad demonstration I'll admit but I never watch the trailers for Pokemon, anyway.

8200
someone remind me why we somehow still shit on CoD for being the same game every year but Pokemon still gets a free pass

are you serious

8201
This is the first year I care about something from Nintendo that isn't Pokemon. Zelda looks great.

8202
I missed the beginning part of the LoZ trailer -- what was in it?

Wow. My god.

That Trailer was so cryptic.....whats it about?

No one knows yet. We know a few things about Death Stranding:

-3rd person action game
-story-driven
-open-world but not in the traditional sense

The dead whales on the shore have been "stranded", along with the rest of the fish... we have what is presumably the game's incarnation of "death" floating above the character's location (the 5 mysterious floating characters we saw), and they're the ones "stranding death".

All I see is familiar TPP elements like the skulls (Ludens SCREAMS Parasite Unit) and whales (Moby Dick influence).

8205
Given his recent character "development" it's pretty obvious he'd go with Team Cap.

Also someone remind me to edit the OP with all new footage and photos nicely organised. I wanna record this shit for future generations.

If the ride is anything like TPPs we've got a helluva thread lined up.

First ever trailer, boys.
The real Phantom Pain. You knew it would be out eventually.

It really is, though. Everything from the Skull imagery (Ludens) to the dead wales (Moby Dick symbolism) to the lost child shtick screams "Fuck you Konami, this time I'm out for blood. I'll keep coming."

It's like MGSV had a wild night in the sack with PT and is fulfilling everything Kojima wanted to do with the first go.

Except this time, Kojima isn't limited by the contrived narrative he bound himself to with the MGS games.

8209
ReCore and Fe just got me super interested. Sea of Thieves will be fun with friends, but then again, so will games like Titanfall 2 and X-Wing VR (hopefully).

8210
There are so many games I liked that I keep forgetting...

Titanfall 2
Fe
Sea of Thieves
ReCore
Final Fantasy XV
Detroit Become Human
Horizon Zero Dawn
Crash Bandicoot Remakes
Arkham VR
X-Wing VR
Insomniac Spider-man
Death Stranding
Zelda

Did I miss anything?

8211
Please let Zelda be amazing.
Even if it's not, I'm pretty satiated.

But yeah, it would be really nice if it were.

Considering the Wii U is the only console I own ATM I'd really like it to be good.

But yeah, can't complain this year. Everyone really stepped it up, but Sony was just a level above.

8212
Sea of thieves
Horizon
God of War
Detroit robocop detective
Crash bandicoot remasters

These are my favorite things coming out of today, obviously there was a bunch of great stuff but those are just what's sticking in my mind

Sea of Thieves Xbox exclusive? We gotta play that bro

This is the benchmark of quality for all future E3s.

Not really, overall this E3 has been okay at best.

Atleast for me

I meant Sony's conference. The format, the pacing, everything -- it's what the standard should be from here on out. No bullshit. No cringe.

Notice how they got rid of Boyes? Fuck that guy.

8214
God I hope we get some Crash HD gameplay before 2017. When they announced Ratchet and Clank HD it took them forever to show something.

8215
Please let Zelda be amazing.

8216
My favourite game from E3 thus far is Fe. It'd probably be Spider-man or Crash Bandicoot HD but we didn't see enough of them to judge.

Zero Dawn looks like a confirmed purchase for me, and if I manage to get the VR headset I'll definitely pick up X-Wing and Arkham. And I hope that capture the flag eagle game from Ubisoft comes to PS4.

Totes love when people try to make someone's opinions mean jack by attaching their opinion of the person.

Just shut the fuck up.

8218
Also, no marketing swindles, wew, what time do we live again?

There was no "revolutionary" "epic" "first time ever" bullshit buzzwords was my point. Just game after game with a nice sentiment at the beginning. Announcements, no bullshit.

I'd probably appreciate back to back gameplay/trailers more if they weren't bleh for the most part.

And I'd appreciate you more if you weren't bleh for the most part but I don't make fun of others for liking you.

So, Horizon: Zero Dawn.

Ever since last year, when it was first announced, I knew I had to keep my eye on it, and--we all saw the trailer except Shitaka--and it totally exceeded my expectations. The game looks phenomenal. The weapons, the art style, the gameplay--UGH.

That was my favorite segment of the entire show. What about you guys?

I dunno about you but I got a very distinct Legend of Zelda feel when she got on the back of the boar machine thing and kept shooting arrows at that corrupted machine.
