Yeah, even if you're just building a habit of working hard.

"s's" and "s'" are both considered to be correct by most professionals
i always add the extra s because it usually rustles a few feathers anyways, "secondclasses" is not correct 821

i think it might open a can of worms that i'd rather leave at the bait shop, but as long as it would remain Zack Snyder MoS-esque I don't think it would be too bad. Blowing up a Zellers might be fun.

Gaming / Re: Spyro HD boys« on: April 06, 2018, 08:38:54 PM »Uh-oh.I've been sitting on this topic in /v/ for a few days now, honestly it doesnt look bad. My only concerns are that they need to fix the lighting....how they will capture the weird backgrounds of the original, and the soundtrack. the geometry is all off. spyro is tiny in comparison to his surroundings in the originals, which helps convey the underdog motif. it also lends itself to the world being much more than the player. 829

i think the only people to have done a remake successfully are 343 with their CEA and H2A remasters. They were faithfully retextured with the exact geometry of the originals still intact. that's my main problems with what i've seen so far. something is off about the remake the detracts from the game for me.

so i'm "replaying" (and by that, I mean, really playing these games for the first time) on the ps3 and i'm pretty blown away by the atmosphere here. i can't quite articulate it yet but the simplistic visuals and upbeat drum-based soundtrack really come together to form a nice mood for every stage. i've only come across one not-so-good track. the boss fights could really use some sort of introduction or something, though. the last one i defeated i thought was just a regular enemy until i realised i was on the boss stage and had just gained like 50 gems from his death. the difficulty mostly relies on managing to get around the floaty controls of spyro. tutorials on how things like supercharged gliding work could be a lot more helpful, too. the camera moving quicker and being tied to the right joystick would have been a nice touch but it's understandable that it wasn't included, considering a lot of players might have still been using the original ps1 controller (that didn't have any joysticks at all). nothing overly original here but insomniac were good at improving other people's ideas. i'd say this is a much more competent game than crash bandicoot was for its time.
i still find the visuals to be quite charming. 832
