Gaming / Re: Wait why would anybody buy a Scorpio« on: June 16, 2016, 11:03:04 PM »but I would assume the scorpio costs significantly more than the standard xbone It's a console, nothing needs to be put together or built. The people who want to pay more will do so. It's stupid to some, but the main draw of a console for me is simply being able to just plug it in and play. 8073
Gaming / Best of E3?« on: June 16, 2016, 11:01:06 PM »
What are some of the games you guys are looking forward to?
Death Stranding and Breath of the Wild are games I was already looking forward to, so I can't say those are my favourites. ReCore looks right up my alley, and I'm very interested in the co-op Dark Souls-type game called Necropolis coming out next month. Looks like that'll be a blast with friends. I'm excited by the idea of Crash HD and Spider-man PS4, but we haven't seen enough for me to say I'm hyped. Fe is also another game I'm going to closely keep my eye on, but given how little we know about it, it's hard to be excited. Abzu also looks like a nice, relaxing game I can pour a couple hours into. Sea of Thieves looks like a game I could enjoy with friends, but I only have a handful on Xbox One, so... Detroit: Become Human is interesting, but I'm a little worried about its execution. Horizon: Zero Dawn looks great and all, but I can tell it's one of those games I'll actually need to play to be excited to play it. I didn't feel much watching the demonstration. Think that's all of it... ReCore is probably my best of E3, if I had to absolutely choose. 8075

Games are content complete months before launch, but that doesn't mean they're ready to go out on the presses and be sold to consumers. Then the game isn't "complete". Complete means finished, ready for store shelves. 8076

Resolution and frame-rate fags.

Haven't played since I sold my PS4, but I could see myself getting back into it. I'd rather not, though. Feel like I only go back to Destiny when I don't feel like working on my social life or buying other games.

Why do I care about the sales of a product I already like and will buy? All I want is quality games, first or third party. Sony and Microsoft are already playing "follow the leader" with their bullshit, I don't need Nintendo to play along. Especially considering Nintendo seems like the one place where the company actually gives a shit about game quality and art over sales and profits. 8084

I've never cared about third-party support. And specs DON'T matter.
Just make quality games on an accessible system (ala N64/GC, not Wii/Wii-U) and I'll be satisfied. 8085

Moby Dick. Always Moby Dick.

Serious / Re: ITT: Design a set of consumer protection laws for gamers« on: June 16, 2016, 03:09:21 PM »They are; it takes some time to produce and ship the games, just like a car doesn't magically appear on the lot when it's finished being built. It takes a month to do that, at most. You see all the time the "X game has gone gold" announcements a month before the game releases. Developers should use the time before release to work on the game they're going to ship -- not stuff that'll come out later, for more money. 8096
