The Flood / Re: GoT Season 7 Delayed« on: July 06, 2016, 04:45:53 PM »Maybe they'll actually take their time with good writing this season. Eh, the damage is done. Good writing for one season doesn't fix the last two. I kinda want them to do their own thing different from the books so the reveals aren't ruined when the time comes. 7863

"Winter's never coming, is it?"
They say it's for more "gloomy weather", but I have a sneaking suspicion Martin isn't really happy with what's happened. May just be me, though. 7865

Gaming / Re: I've started Dark Souls 3« on: July 06, 2016, 03:19:04 PM »Oh shit there's actually a set that's near identicle to nights watch armor that isn't too far into the game. Pretty much if you see an enemy with dope ass armor killing them will either A) have a chance to drop a piece of the set or B) open up the set in the shop. you can buy shit at the shop? how worth it is it to farm these lothdric knights? 7867

Gaming / Re: I've started Dark Souls 3« on: July 06, 2016, 01:50:51 PM »Yeah, I will. Also I'll be vague enough with my hints as not to outright tell you how to acquire the items. So you'll still get the satisfaction of finding them yourself.I can go into the specifics if you want, Snake. i'm okay with that given there's some other cool looking armor along the way. my brother is 2 bosses ahead of me and he has this cool looking cloak thing. kinda reminds me of link from the new legend of zelda game in the first trailer. 7870

like i pretty much only wanna make my guy look sick and swing a sword, that's the whole reason i bought the game.
but an ancillary goal of mine is to get addicted to a new franchise of games along the way. 7871
Gaming / Re: I've started Dark Souls 3« on: July 06, 2016, 01:44:33 PM »I can go into the specifics if you want, Snake. ![]() this armor is still pretty cool. i'll just wear it without a hood and look like season 1 jaime lannister in the riverrlands. i don't want you to spoil too much for me but i'll be updating my thread so when i get to the part where i can farm for the other armour, just let me know? if that's cool. 7872

Gaming / Re: I've started Dark Souls 3« on: July 06, 2016, 01:25:37 PM »Except she's right. except she isn't, because she said the bonfires were a necessary evil, unlike what you're saying. linear game design and fast travel makes the game easier, making the amount of bonfires present in DS3 unnecessary. she's just trying to get in as many jabs at DS3 as she can to look enlightened or some shit. i haven't played the other games and i don't like dark souls enough to be a fanboy. luciana's just annoying with her parroted elitism and tbh i'm already predisposed to disliking her, so when she comes in and shits up my thread with irrelevant opinions i react more vituperatively than is called for. 7874

I'm in. Should probably start practicing again.
When do you plan on starting it? 7875
Gaming / Re: I've started Dark Souls 3« on: July 06, 2016, 01:12:07 PM »I personally felt there were too MANY bonfires in DS3. Not as bad as 2 maybe, but still there. I guess that's the necessary evil when fast travel and more linear level design is a thing. linear game design and fast travel would make bonfires an unnecessary evil but that's cool keep parading yourself as some esteemed scholar on game quality. 7876
Gaming / Re: I've started Dark Souls 3« on: July 06, 2016, 12:48:16 PM »Also from the bottom of the elevator you can step on it to send it up and then Jump off quickly. That way it will be at the top waiting for you when you inevitably die again yeah that's what i was doing for the most part. i don't like waiting for the lever thing and getting fucked up by the guy with an axe. 7877

So I just spent 2 hours getting fucked at High Wall of Lothric. The final boss isn't even that hard, I just have to get used to the input lag on my tv to time shit better. What gets me every time is the stupid knights.
Luckily i found an elavator so i can just skip most of the ads, but still. This game is worse than jak 2 when it comes to checkpoints. Im going to see if switching to my fast monitor will make any difference. 7879

The Flood / Re: post your favourite "mainstream" music« on: July 05, 2016, 05:37:17 PM »just because I don't listen to edgy indie band #3471 doesn't mean I'm a contrarian Are you really this dumb? Liking popular music isn't what makes you a contrarian. Figuratively shouting from the rooftops that popular music is popular because it's good, in a place where you know very few people would hold the same opinion, is what makes you a contrarian. 7883
The Flood / Re: post your favourite "mainstream" music« on: July 05, 2016, 04:01:34 PM »How is that relevant? I'm merely pointing out how his generalization is illogical. You asked him why you'd hypothetically use obscure bands to feed your ego, which is asking why contrarianism is popular in the first place. Of course his generalisation is illogical, it's SecondClass. What's even funnier is that he prides himself on being some judgeless martyr, but that's less relevant. 7884
The Flood / Re: post your favourite "mainstream" music« on: July 05, 2016, 03:56:13 PM »I listen to obscure music because it just so happens that the most interesting, emotionally engaging, and inspiring artists I enjoy are generally obscure.except not at allthings get popular for a reason Does he really need to explain to you why people like being contrarian 7885

The Flood / Re: post your favourite "mainstream" music« on: July 05, 2016, 03:49:25 PM »I'm contrarian for not being a contrarian? No, you're a contrarian because you unnecessarily posted a controversial opinion in a place where you knew it was controversial in an attempt to look enlightened, like your fellow contrarians. 7887
The Flood / Re: post your favourite "mainstream" music« on: July 05, 2016, 03:21:43 PM »except not at all That's what makes it contrarian, you idiot. 7888

The Flood / Re: recent changes in your philosophical outlooks?« on: July 05, 2016, 01:17:07 PM »This is very ironic because truth works most effectively regarding the absolution of sins and freedom from suffering, ergo to care about what works would logically mean to care about truth. You're not interested in having the conversation because to you this is the ultimate and only truth. Only in so far that the truth has benefits. The true nature of the universe has no value, because everything is meaningless and shitty. All that serves is to make people depressed and apathetic. Placebo's are much more effective. |
