I'll do that next time. I just got a ninja food processor a couple weeks ago so I pretty much make a smoothie every day and I've been making my own salsa and spinach-artichoke dip and stuff
nice bro i have a parfait almost everyday, it's like the only thing i eat ran out of strawberries todaythough so i had to use blueberries /:

you ever make yogurt parfaits
those things are my jammm
greek yogurt (not just cuz it's vegan but cuz it's healthier and tastes better in this instance) strawberries (or your favourite fruit) granola (i have these granola balls with chocolate/strawberries/a mix of some that are fantastic) pinch of cinnamon
it's sick
I usually just buy the chobani Greek yogurts with fruit but I just made a Greek yogurt smoothie for desert actually
Plain Greek yogurt Ice Frozen banana Strawberries Coconut milk Wheat germ
Usually I use almond milk but I already had coconut milk from the curry so I went for it
where's the cinnamon man where's the cinnamon

And yes, exactly. Fixing unappealing things about yourself shouldn't result in you being shamed. can't argue with that, i guess. you've sorta changed my stance, so kudos. I've known plenty, lol. Might be an American thing. really? damn that's uh... something Those things (enhancement) vastly overpopulate the "covering up" things.
just for reference this is the tweet that spawned my rant https://twitter.com/MakeupGuides/status/766075728941162497just absolutely ridiculous the amount of effort and time this take

The beauty industry is corrupt and hell and preys upon young women. That's a pretty well known fact. This thread is about the idea of makeup in the first place. well i'm (maybe unfairly) joining those two concepts.

Why? All the misogynists love hating on makeup. so you disagree with them just because they're misogynists...? And yes, some things deserve to be covered up. that's a valid point. ugly people are ugly, i guess. (not sarcasm) When a guy has a zit and applies coverup to it, no one cares. never known a dude who has ever done that Not to mention that most of the widespread makeup is used for enhancement, not covering stuff up - lipstick, eyeliner, blush, foundation, etc.
yeah i'm okay with that i suppose

Not everything exists in extremes. She can have fine self esteem but still want a boost after a hard week or when she's going to have something important that that
A girl can wake up and say "you know what I want to look my best today" and wear nice clothes and put on make up and have a kick ass day. She's not going to cut herself if she doesn't have make up
obviously you're right about that but there is a problem here

Cmon what? He's right.
how many girls did you know in highschool that discovered more makeup = more compliments

None at all. No different than a guy using hair gel.
i'm surprised your taking this stance tbh. but i would argue that some/most make up is used to cover up, whereas hair gel is used to style. eye liner lip stick is a littler different obviously, but

Most girls wear make up because they like it or it suits their style. No different than buying your own clothes or wearing your hair in a certain way. yeah i could see eye liner being like that or something but a lot of make up is used to cover stuff up that's what i'm not for Has bollocks all to do with self esteem or "hiding".
cmon

Nothing wrong with wanting to look pretty.
no you're right
but at what cost
Um, ten minutes a day and $20?
There's a point where it can be overdone, but there's nothing wrong with basic makeup or the idea of it.
no i meant like by allowing girls to do that to themselves, what are we really telling them about themselves? what kind of effect does that have on the female population

no daughter of mine will wear makeup before the tender age of 17
they'll never know about makeup living in a commune in the woods with no electricity
see it solves all problems

Feeling more confident and "needing makeup to cope" aren't the same thing at all
if you don't have adequate self-esteem without make up i would call that coping

A small amount of make-up CAN be pretty and it makes girls feel more confident which is good especially for young girls. makeup makes a girl prettier, that's not really what this is about and i would argue that girls having self-esteem issues from a young age and needing makeup to cope with it is a bigger problem altogether That being said some girls look like fucking clowns and if you need a whole 30 minute tutorial on how to make yourself less ugly you're probably an ogre
it's not really about looks it's about what it means to a woman that she needs to hide who she is to feel confident or accepted this all sounds like feminist bs i know but it's just how i feel

i follow this girl on twitter (she's a friend of a friend) and all she does is retweet these makeup videos and stuff. her life is focused on following some sort of career in makeup.
every time i see a video or something all i can think about is how disgusting this process is. i mean you're basically hiding what you truly are to be accepted by people... and i mean, do you, but the fact that this is so widespread and acceptable is just... degrading
i'm not the only one who feels this way, right

Audio ads in general are cancer, but are they technically "malicious"?
regardless, we don't want them on our site, right? i just didn't know where else to post it i guess it's like a 1 in 10 chance that i get them which is pretty frequently

just tell her that
tell her that you feel like you might not live up to her expectations
This was my first idea and most likely what I'm gonna do
yeah man if she's as cool as you say and the female equivalent of yourself then there's no need for the games good luck man
