You're like Mcree, except a pirate
mcree... the gunslinger from overwatch?
i'm curious how you think i look like him
You got the hair, the beard. I dunno. Dress up as a cowboy instead of a pirate next time and then I can make a better judgment.
oh, well haha i'm not really dressed like a pirate. the bandanna was a gift from a friend that couldnt pull it off, and i look like hayden christenson from episode 3 meets axl rose so why not

The only complaint I have is more to do with how spaced out the islands on the right are. I think Pacifidlog and Ever Grande could have been brought in closer together a bit more.
Yeah. My complaints could be remedied by faster surfing speed and shorter distances. It wouldn't necessarily "fix" the problem, but it would certainly help.
*cough* Alternate music would be nice as well.
You don't like the music? I find it quite peaceful.
It's - by far - the most annoying music in Pokemon. It doesn't help that it features an overabundance of the low-quality trumpet sound and a very small repeat window.

I'd been hearing some less-than-inspiring things about this game from a few friends of mine, so to hear this guy (a pretty big dude in the Dark Souls community) say good things about it is welcome news. I didn't even know there was a demo. Wish I could have gotten on that.

I never understood the complaints against the "too much water" criticism. There IS too much water in Hoenn, and its highlighted by that annoying surf music as well. It doesn't matter if it "makes sense", it wasn't executed well. I love the ocean and exploring it has always been a fantasy of mine, but it could have been done better.

Cool concept but I've never been more immersed by a silent protagonist. Like in Jak and Daxter, I never felt like Jak -- I just felt like I was controlling a mute who kicks ass.

If they're doing something wrong, the friendliest thing you can do is urge them to stop and warn them of the consequences.
but i am doing that
see i'm having trouble coming to terms with this whole thing because i happen to like the guy, and i want him to be my friend. he's definitely someone who rewards loyalty with loyalty, in that, he'll always have your back, and with my current lifestyle, that's something i could really use. but i have moral reservations about his actions.
Wait so this dude isn't actually your friend?
I could understand not breaking up a friendship over your best childhood friend cheating on his wife once, drunk, and him being regretful. But you don't even know him that well? What's the point?
no but it lead me on to this whole thought process because i recently reconnected with an old friend who is kinda like that, and in general have just been giving it more thought. i only made the example in the op for arguments sake.

i don't know why you think that's what i'm saying
and i think you can only really be someone's friend if you support them in everything -- even when they're wrong.
and i think that's what defines friendship
Because I have/had friends that fit your original description. They expect loyalty: for other people to validate them, even when they're 100% in the wrong.
It's pretty selfish and immature to blame people for not blindly having your back before accepting the notion that you might be wrong. If you're the kind of person to stubbornly drop other people from your life or devalue relationships because you can't accept your own flaws and influences on other people, you have a lot more problems in regards to friendship than the person who's not loyal enough.
i have no clue what youre on about. seems pretty off base from what we're talking about. i expect friends to act as extended family, and there's nothing a family member could do that would make me betray them. i offer the same thing in return to them.

Batman and Wonder Woman. Wally West instead of Barry Allen.
When DCAU launched it was common knowledge that Barry Allen was dead.
He had been since the 80s. That didn't change until New 52
didn't know that

There's a huge difference between supporting someone and being their servant. Being someone's yes-man keeps them from ever having to grow or take responsibility for themselves. i don't know why you think that's what i'm saying
