Those are hi res.

There's nothing even somewhat decent about the quality.

theyre not that bad

but i thought hq=hr so i apologise

LS swap it bro

let me get some miles on this motor and when it blows i'll drop a 5.7 in it.

the 305 thats in there is perfectly respectable.
Yeah bro, those tpi 305's are capable enough and have a huge cult following with lots of available resources and a big aftermarket. Easy to rebuild if you somehow grenade it too.

it's not tuned port. it has a carb so there's no chance.

im actually not 100% sure the motor is the stock 305 that came in 82 cuz the previous owner swapped the factory motor at 200k. im thinking its a buick motor but i have to double check.

either way im going to upgrade to the 5.7 sooner or later. thinking LT1 maybe.

6034
I booked the safety for tomorrow morning.

6035
That car looks like I feel.

how do you feel

nah im not sold on louvers tbh

6038
I'm just impressed your neighbour has a bus tbh

OT: Make it into a Drag Car

thats actually not my neighbour. the photos were taken at my buddys house

Lol what a waste of money smh
did he even say how much he paid for it

i mean, car people are silly, but

The car upfront probably wasn't super expensive, but to my knowledge older car models are a trap -- you can buy defunct ones on the cheap but the cost of replacing their parts is astronomical because they aren't in production anymore.

except this thing was in running order when i bought it, and that's why i bought it. in absolute necessities, i only paid $300 more after i bought the vehicle for tires. everything else was an optional purchase by me.

and gm parts are dirt cheap and easy to find, so. . .

not a waste of money at all.

6040
Literally why

- it's one of my favourite cars -- ever
- i got it for a good price
- needs very little work
- it seats 4 instead of 2
- i can drive it whenever i want
- my name is on the ownership

6041
Put new front tires on her today. I'll get some shots tomorrow.

Have to check the differential tomorrow cuz the rear end is making some funny noises. following that, bulbs are going to be changed and new tires will be put on the rear.

6042
That is one ugly vehicle.

Tasteless motherfucker.

6043
I did, that's who.

[Fair warning: the images are pretty high-quality, to allow for zooming into details and whatnot. For the first page or so it'll be a pretty slow load.]

Day of purchase:

October 18th, 2016:

1982 Pontiac Firebird TRANS AM with an LG4 305 5.0 L V8. 130K KMs on the motor. Got it for a steal. Needs a safety but I should be getting that done in a couple days.

Things I'd like to get done ASAP:
- Safety test.
- Rear tail lights need new bulbs and potentially fuses.
- Speakers are shit, maybe need to buy a new tape deck because mine sounds awful. I actually could use some help in this area, as I have no idea what exactly is causing my sound quality to be so bad.
- Interior in general could use some fixes. The whole dashboard appears to be crooked. Some of the gauges, including oil temperature and voltage (as well as fuel, I suspect) need to be fixed.
- New transmission handle. I hate the one that's in there, and I'd like to get one of those cool looking ones with the button on the side.
- Centre console needs a cover. It's ripped off.

Too many trailers. Just once I think it would be really cool to make everyone go in blind. I've started doing it artificially with movies but it isn't the same.
If you're going to go dark, then now would be a very good time. Once the demo comes out, the whole thing is going to be datamined to hell within a day and the entire game is going to be leaked, just like with X/Y and OR/AS. I know I only want to know a few specific things from the datamine (Starters, HAs, and such.), and then I'm going dark.

It's too late for me. I've already seen a few trailers and such so it wouldn't make much sense to go dark now.

Maybe next gen.

Construction sucks dick never again

i could see myself enjoying it if the workplace was a little better. considering going to school for it so i can lead my own projects and such.

either that or mechanics. i kinda want to know it all.

Is there like a special method to shoveling and using a wheelbarrow?

Not sure about good techniques for rolling around a wheelbarrow, but if you're gonna be shovelling for a while, a good method (and not overdoing the load on the blade) won't do your back in, and you won't over exert yourself.

yeah pretty much. it's just learning how to more efficiently use the tool.

You went that long putting up with that shit?

its the nature of construction and im not really a quitter.

I worked in construction too pal
It's not like that

were you unionised

cuz thats just how it is for everyone. sometimes the boss dicks you around, sometimes the project funder doesnt give enough money, but generally you can expect delays on payments to be the norm

I was non union

I was payed every pay period and so were my coworkers

There was a lot of paperwork that I managed to dodge because I'm a minor but it was all very official

I don't know why you're being screwed like that or why you continued to take that shit for so long

like i said, it's just the norm. most of my extended family is in construction and they all said the same thing.

what sort of things should i look for and check when i go see the car?
take note of any oil seepage on the block, unusual wear and tear, excessive frame rust... You said you're bringing a mechanic buddy, right?

yup. we're going to see it tomorrow night

it's about steady pay, really. i have more to learn in construction but its never guaranteed that im going to work 5 days a week because of the weather. id rather clock in and clock out for the same pay every week than leave it to chance.

I could've sworn you were older than I am, like in your late 20s. Weird. Anyways, congrats on the (potential) new job. Sounds kind of boring tbh but $14/hr + benefits for entry level work is great.

im obsessed with stuff from the 80s so that mightve lead you to believe im older than i am. im only 18.

it is boring but ive worked a couple jobs for the guys over the past 2 weeks and ive picked it up really fast so im hoping to get so more money per hour in a month or two.
