Just finished up watching these movies fully for the first time. Here's my list:
Half-Blood Prince > Prisoner of Azkaban > Deathly Hallows Part 2 > Goblet of Fire > Chamber of Secrets > Order of the Phoenix > Philosopher's Stone > Deathly Hallows Part 1 HBP - I liked the humour a lot, lots of focus on Snape and the Death Eaters, and it had a great ending. I didn't mind the romance bits. POA - Awesome adventure story. Dementors scared me as a kid and still do, and the Patronus charm is my favourite spell (though it doesn't become so until OOTP). DH2 - Whatever DH1 did wrong this one made up for it. Never a dull moment, and it virtually answered every question the previous movies failed to address. This one will be the most fun to rewatch after I read the books, I reckon. GOF - Another fun adventure. Voldemorte's revival is pretty cool. COS - Basilisk was dope. Seeing Tom Riddle as a student really sold me on the connection between him and Harry. I remember playing the DVD game of this movie so there's probably a little nostalgia there for me. OOTP - Nothing too bad but nothing to write home about, either. It doesn't help that I wanted to strangle Delores the entire time, anyway. PS - Again, nothing to write home about. I put it lower than OOTP because it has slightly worse acting from the main trio. DH1 - Quite boring. I wasn't expecting action but, like I said earlier, every movie before had either answered question posed earlier on in the movie or the series by the conclusion, and this felt like it did neither. Although admittedly, the movie will probably fair better on my second watch now that I know the ending. Dobby was dope, too. I reserve the right to change my list when I rewatch and/or read the series. This is just what I felt after rushing through them since I got them on Christmas Day. Snape is best character, followed by Dumbledore. 5711
The Flood / Re: harry potter is awesome« on: December 28, 2016, 04:19:38 PM »I like Azkaban and Goblet the best out of the series. You should give the books a read, too, at some point. The films are pretty good adaptations, but there's just more stuff in the books. i plan on reading the books asap and i want to go see the movie with my sister soon 5712
The Flood / Re: harry potter is awesome« on: December 28, 2016, 03:49:26 PM »really? that's actually probably my least favorite tbh azkaban was awesome, theres just too much to love with half blood prince. especially the humour. i was laughing pretty much the entire time harry was on the liquid luck stuff. radcliffe knocked it out of the park with that one. its like the writers knew that this would be the sort of last "happy time" for the remainder of the series and tried to make it count. i didnt feel the romance stuff was too bad, but then again ive always been a sucker for that stuff. but the moment i was blown away the most was when harry jumps in the lake to get the horcrux with dumbledore, and he emerges from the water to find dumbledore just eviscerating whatever tf those little creatures were with a vicious hell fire. fucking awesome. if snape is my favourite character, dumbledore is an extremely close second. just finished deathly hallows part 1 ( the only one i hadnt seen at all before) and its probably my least favourite so far. all the other instalments managed to pose questions at the beginning and answer some by the end in a satisfying way, but this just felt really bogged down and unnecessary. 5713
The Flood / Re: harry potter is awesome« on: December 28, 2016, 01:14:50 PM »people will probably post spoilers in this thread by the way thats okay, the big thing was spoiled a long time ago 5714
The Flood / Re: harry potter is awesome« on: December 28, 2016, 01:14:02 PM »yee, harry potter is dope half blood prince by far the most humourous, but also, harry really comes into his own as a wizard, dumbledore sees his almost as an equal, and theres a lot of spotlight on Snape (my favourite character) and that ending though 5715
The Flood / harry potter is awesome« on: December 28, 2016, 01:01:51 PM »
i got the full collection on blu ray this and ive become a huge fan
im just starting deathly hallows part 1 after watching them all so im almost done 5717
Princess Leia was overall my favorite character in the OT, so I hope they pay her due respects in Episode 9 instead of pulling some CG nonsense. you mean episode 8 right oh wait no never mind 8s probably almost done shooting anyway 5718

The Flood / Re: Apparently I have "white privilege"« on: December 25, 2016, 01:57:35 AM »Yeah, white males statistically have an easier go. I don't think that's accurate. I remember reading a study that showed young, white males had the "toughest start" in the U.K.. Or something to that effect. 5726
