So the Master Sword is...Spoiler kinda weak. Does it improve at all?
Spoiler I don't think our weapons are meant to improve, I think we're supposed to utilise the elixirs and meals to improve our damage.
Spoiler It doubles its power when used against Ganon forms or guardians (not in shrines though). And it doesn't lose durability when fighting those enemies, either, so it's perfect for clearing the castle and surrounding area.

It does, but it recharges after 10 minutes.
Oh, that's cool. Good to know, I Spoiler knew the Guardian-esque weapons dealt more damage to the Sheikah Tech enemies but it's good to know the MS does the same thing without deteriorating.

I hear the first dlc was really short but it added a little more variety in weapons for the pvp if that's your game.

only problems with the game so far
horse controls are shit (steering feels terrible but maybe that improves with the bond)
weapon degradation and inventory (would be nice to repair weapons you like and hold a lot more of them... i do like the defradation idea but i hate losing cool weapons)
