I really dig the look of the Rubber armour set, though.

I hope this game doesn't suffer the same fate as so many other RPGs by only have 1 top-tier armor set.

Fortunately, there isn't one set that's the best. Cloth sets cap out at 20 per piece and armored sets get up to 28, but the soldier set gives no set bonus and the ancient armor is specific to guardians. So the best set for the castle is probably full ancient, but that's really expensive and ultimately unnecessary. The barbarian set gives an attack boost, but that's also tough to get. I'm just rolling with Fashion of Zelda by mixing whatever looks coolest. Currently using diamond circlet, champion tunic, and ancient greaves.

That's reassuring. I'm almost wearing the same thing, minus the ancient greaves. i don't hve enough rupees, lol.

Material/Game Feature/Equipment Spoiler
Anyone have any idea where I can grab me some Star Fragments? I used one upgrading my Diamond Circlet but I need another for my Ruby Circlet.
Farosh Spoilers
Also, I'm assuming I need to shoot Farosh's horns to get "Farosh Horns" material, right?

Second question: yes

First question: There are a couple dogs that will lead you to chests with those items in it (two total, I believe), and I can tell you where they are if you want. Other than that, it's a random occurrence.

Do I just feed the dogs and they'll lead me? Which dogs?

And yeah, I just answered my own second question at the top of the Gerudo Highlands. Perfect spot to find Shenron.

Spoiler
Snowfield Stable and Lurelin Village. Feed them three times and they should lead you to a chest.

Perfect, thanks.

Some of the chests just seemed like 'ehhh I really can't be fucked'

those are the ones that drop the good stuff, like climbing gear or diamonds.

That's sounds so counter-intuitive... why not have a chest marked beside the shrine only if there's still chests to open inside?
I dunno, I never thought of it that way.

Yeah it confused me at first because I was sure I had got all the chests in a particular shrine but the symbol was still beside it.

Y'know that shrine next to the Akkala stable, where you have to tilt your pad to knock a ball in the pit?

Idk if anyone found that difficult but I just did it accidentally on my first attempt lmao.
It only took me two tries, but the chest room where you have to knock the ball at an angle took me several.
I wasn't even aware that room was there
Yeah. On your map, there should be a chest icon next to the name of every shrine where you got all the chests. If there isn't one, there's still a chest there.

I'm a completion junkie so I'm going out of my way to collect every chest. That's one thing that irked me about the dungeon--there was no, from what I could tell, way to tell if you had all the chests opened.

That's sounds so counter-intuitive... why not have a chest marked beside the shrine only if there's still chests to open inside?

Ngl I miss the Nintendo gallery sidequest but I'm glad it returned in some form with the Hyrule compendium

I feel like some extreme photographer but I regret not taking photos of the bosses on the Divine Beasts :(
ahh fuck

That's going to haunt the rest of this playthrough.... Those empty spaces :(

At least I managed to photograph the Lyonel at the Zora place right before it died. I probably would have missed out on the reward for it if I hadn't, unless it respawns?

It respawns at the blood moon.

Also, Hero Mode is coming in a few weeks so don't worry about the bosses.

Are there any details about the new mode?

Also, I just read that the DLC is only available via the season pass, not individually...that's worse than any other DLC scheme I've ever seen. And I'm still salty as fuck about the amiibo-locked content. There are five armor sets available through amiibos + Epona, so for all the content announced for the game (and on the game disc) you'd have to spend $89 in addition to the base cost of the game ($60).

Nothing new outside of the Season's Pass description.

Isn't the amiibo content unlockavle through the season's pass as well? Or am I thinking of that wrong.

Nope, amiibo content is only available via the amiibos. They've announced no plan to include it in the second DLC.

And yeah, it's confirmed that the hard mode is NG+, not something you can turn on in your current game.

Fuck I just looked over some of the amiibo content. Not much of it interests me aside from a few weapons, but a fucking Wolf companion from Twilight Princess? That's amazing what the hell?

Hero Mode was used as New Game + in Jak 2 and 3 so I assume it's the same thing here.

so how are you guys spending your spirit orbs? I've found two stamina wheels is more than enough so ive put everything else into heart.

i was alternating between hearts and stamina, but once i learned you needed a certain amount of hearts to do the thing, i invested all of them into hearts until i got it

i'm prolly gonna spend them on stamina now that i got it tho

even with extremely high defense im sill getting 3-4 shot by high level enemies so im going all in on hearts these days.

Finally liberated my first Divine Beast--the elephant.

I don't think spoilers are necessary for this but I'm just being careful
Easy as it was, the ingenuity of the puzzles and map design is still there, which makes me pretty happy. Had to stop and think about what to do next at least three times. This game has a way of making you feel like a complete and utter badass. I felt like Superman after everything was said and done.

Mipha's VA wasn't very good, but I still adore her character's storyline, and it was great to see it resolved (albeit in a bittersweet way).

Waterblight Ganon was piss-easy, but he had a great design and I was decked out with a lot of powerful shit anyway.

Mipha's Grace seems a bit OP, but maybe I'm just not understanding how it works.

Spoiler
Mipha's Grace has a 20-minute cool-down after it's used. It's nice, but I wouldn't say it's OP or anything.
